“Lina is Callie’s dog walker, but was also able to board Callie when I had a family emergency. Lina’s home is spacious with a big fenced back yard for play time. Lina takes great care of my dog and sent regular updates and pictures! Callie had a wonderful time playing and being spoiled. Thanks, Lina. As always, I highly recommend Lina’s services.”

“Vilma accepted our very last minute request to watch our two dogs and took impeccable care of them! She was even able to groom our difficult older dog who has never let anyone else groom her in the 9 years we’ve had her! Vilma sent us pictures and I could tell our pups were so happy to be there with her. Will absolutely use again!”

“Our dog Pepper appeared to have enjoyed him self with Bijayata . He was happy when we dropped him off and he was the same way when we picked him up. That is how we can tell if he was happy there or not. I would use her again if we are on her area again!!”

“Saffron took amazing care of our doggos while we were out of town. She was super responsive and took our dogs on many walks a day and scheduled play times. During our week out of town, the dogs ended up running out of food and Saffron went out her way to pick up some food for them. She kept sending us the cutest videos and pictures of our pups. I definitely recommend Saffron and I will be using her as a dog sitter again.”

“Best dog sitter ever. My Daisy had a blast once she settled in. Tori gave her plenty of puppy play time and one on one human time. She even bought her a birthday cookie because we had to be out of town on her 2nd birthday🥹. She even tolerated my weirdo’s blanket chewing habit. Other Doberman owners will understand. Will definitely be using Tori again. Not sure our dog even wanted to come home. She was happy to see us but she certainly enjoyed her time there.”

“Andrea was the absolute best sitter for our pup, Ernie. She’s so sweet, attentive, and accommodating. She sent the best photos and updates while Ernie was staying with her, which we really appreciated. Andrea is definitely our go-to sitter now!”

“Delia was so sweet with our dog and cat! We have a pretty anxious dog who doesn’t like a lot of people so when they were introduced and he warmed up immediately we knew that it was a match . We went on vacation for 8 days and she dropped our babies off for us so that they were home when we arrived. I highly recommend that you book with Delia! We came home to a very calm dog who usually has anxiety 😊🙌 and a very happy cat.”

“We were very pleased with Kyler keeping our dog, Cooper. He does a really nice job with communication and sends lots of photos. We will definitely be using him again! Thank you!”
“Alyssa was amazing!! I was very happy with her great communication and how well she took care of our senior german shepherd pup ! She was super caring and attentive to make sure our dog had the best possible care. I recommend her highly and can’t wait to continue to use her for our future stays.”

“Rebecca and her family were amazing! She kept me updated and kept up great communication for the days that I was gone! Can’t thank her and her family enough for being so kind to Beaux!”

About: I always took care of dogs for family and friends while they travel. We don’t have pets of our own currently, so know that your pet will get a lot of love from us. I am currently working from home and usually just leave the house to take my son to daycare and pick him up. I can take your dog out as many times needed for walks and bathroom breaks during the day. We live in a townhouse, with no fence. So we will always need to go out on a leash. I do have a 2 year son, so your pet needs to be good and/or used with kids. We don’t own any pets so you can rest assured they won’t have any problems with that.

“I am so thankful for the wonderful care provided while I was away ❤️ Kathryn & Hovey were super accommodating and made diesel comfy and cared for. I really appreciated the updates & pics too - thanks so much! We will definitely be reaching out for care in the future.”

“Janine was absolutely wonderful. She is beyond knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and caring. She genuinely loves dogs and gives the most amazing advice and guidance for a novice puppy owner like me. Having never had anyone take care of my sweet puppy I was extremely nervous to leave her with a total stranger but Janine immediately put me at ease. I’m not sure it would be possible to find anyone else as good as she is to care for your dog.”

“Always lovely to have our Charlotte to stay with Lea & Luna + Copper!!! She always get the best care and best friends!!!! So much love & so much fun, we will definitely come back!!!”

“Luna had a great time and felt very comfortable and safe. Lanie was able to work around Luna’s reactive behavior to the best of her abilities and provide an environment that eased Luna’s anxiety.”

“Lisa was really amazing, made sure to communicate throughout the visit, spoiled our dog to no end to the point she was worried she wasn’t going to eat so she would put extra food on top to get her to eat and even went out and got extra treats for her. Would highly recommend and would definitely use her again”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
