“Jennifer is ALWAYS the most wonderful sitter for our aging pup. She is kind, loving, efficient and careful, and always keeps us informed. Bates loves her and so do we! Jennifer is a keeper! She is our #1 go-to for our sweet pup! 🐶❤️”

“Absolutely phenomenal! This was one of the best rover experiences we have ever had. She was so amazing with the dogs but even more than that Amanda was beyond helpful and kind with handling our wonky weekend with changing plans. She sent photos of the doggies throughout the stay and was great with updating us over the weekend. Could not recommend enough!”

“Katie and David were very accommodating with two last minute changes to our booking! They provided updates and photos the entire time I was gone. I will definitely use them next time a sitter is needed and recommend you to book with them.”

“The absolute best… hands down!!! We are so grateful to have found a permanent sitter for our fur baby. Thank you for taking such good care of our sweet boy. Until next time !”

“I had an amazing experience using Rover for my 9-day trip! My puppy Onyx stayed with Jeanetta and her family. I couldn’t have asked for better care. From the start, they made me feel completely at ease. I received daily updates, photos, and sweet messages showing Onyx playing, relaxing, and getting lots of love. Onyx is still a young pup with lots of energy, and Jeanetta handled him with such patience and care. He came home happy, healthy, and clearly bonded with his sitter — it felt like he had a little vacation of his own! Thank you so much, Jeanetta for treating Onyx like one of your own. I’ll definitely be booking with you again!”

“Michelle took such great care of our two dogs. Our big mutt is kinda weird with other dogs & needs someone to care for him who understands his body language and nuisances. Michelle was incredibly qualified for Rip’a “weirdness.” She sent several pictures and checked in frequently. She also had great advice for training and information I should look into to better care for Rip. If you’re looking for a very knowledgeable caregiver, look no further! Michelle is wonderful.”

“Rebecca took amazing care of our two dogs for 7 or 8 days. She kept us so Informed, and made sure they got lots of love, playtime and even a bath! I can’t recommend her enough. We will Be using her every time now.”

About: Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a stay at home mom. I would be able to be here all day, everyday to care for and play with your beloved fur baby. I have a dog and cat of my own, they are both very friendly and love making new friends. I have a 4 year old daughter who is amazing with animals, so your baby/ babies would need to be okay with children. I have a fenced in back yard, and plenty of treats! I also have a large crate (I dont use it but its here if you have a crate trained fur baby that you would like me to keep that consistency with.) I would absolutely love to host your 4 legged family member and give you some peace of mind. I am a stay at home mom so I will be able to be here all day to love on and care for your furry family member. I have a dog named Jax who absolutely loves making new friends and playing and i also have a very relaxed cat who is also very friendly, chunky and 7 years old. We have a nice sized house with a fenced in backyard so there is plenty of room!
About: My husband and I just moved here from Texas with our sweet 8 month old and two cats (they get along great with dogs). I’m a stay at home mom full time, with lots of extra time on my hands We absolutely love dogs, and hope to adopt in the future when the time is right. I currently don’t work, so i have a completely open schedule which is great when it comes to my flexibility! I stay home all day with our baby, so a non agressive dog is very crucial for us. We have a fenced in yard, love going on walks and giving belly scratches and a whole lot of time on our hands when it comes to meeting your pups needs
“Kathy boarded my two senior Shih tzus in her home for 4 days. She was great- sending pictures and keeping me updated the entire time. She responded quickly whenever I reached out. One of my dogs got sick during the trip and she was kind enough to make rice and broth to help them feel better. She has a fenced in backyard that was great to have my dogs explore safely. Will be using her again for future trips!”

“What can I say! Sasha was 5 star for my precious Raven's needs. Sahsa was responsive to my needs as well. I received multiple pictures and updates throughout my time away. I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing my doggo was well cared for. Shasha was flexible and accomdating. My doggo didnt want to get in the car to come home!”

“My Lola so clearly enjoyed her time here! I received multiple videos and pictures of my dog regularly, as well as regular communications on how she was doing. My pup is very nervous, and she really enjoyed the structured and attentive environment. I will definitely be sending her to her new home away from home again!”

“Absolutely 5 stars for Chelsea! She was a lifesaver, stepping in to watch our dog for a weekend with very little notice. Chelsea went above and beyond by offering to meet early to introduce the dogs, which gave us such peace of mind. Throughout the stay, she kept us updated with plenty of pictures, showing how much care and attention our pup was getting. It was clear our dog was pampered and treated like one of her own. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend Chelsea to anyone needing a caring, reliable sitter!”

“Alexandra was amazing. She was a life saver on short notice. She kept us updated daily with photos and status of our boy. I highly recommend Alexandra with caring for any fur baby. 🐾🖤”

About: I have been pet sitting since I was 15, and looking after animals alone since I was 10 years old. I have been the go-to pet sitter for two of my friend’s families for years. I have plenty of experience staying overnight with cats, dogs, caged reptiles, and fish while house sitting. I’m also comfortable feeding animals medicine and practicing with pets in training. I’m more than happy to care for your backyard family members as well! I’ve fed chickens, ducks, pigs, and filled water buckets for cows; so, feel free to introduce me to any extended family out back! I’m home from university for the summer and have much free time to play and care for my pets as well as yours! I like to spend time outside and go for walks or jogs, so I’m eager to play with your puppy or active dog. I’m great with calmer animals too! My dog, Ollie, is very mellow and loves a snuggle or nap time! I have a privacy fenced large back yard, so pets have plenty of space to zoom around. Pets are allowed on furniture in my home; so, unless instructed otherwise, your babies will be able to lay on our couch and chairs. I’m home most of the day to spend time with pets!

Shiloh was taken care of in such a special way! The pics and fun he had left me at so much ease while I was away. So happy that we chose the Zadok’s to care for our pup. Friendly, loving and kind people. Shiloh bonded super well with the kids and their dogs as well. We will be contacting them again for our future services

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
