“New to the area and new to Rover, we are so thankful we found Rachel to watch our lab Chloe for Memorial Day weekend! I received pictures and updates frequently, which really eased my anxiety while we were away. I know Chloe suffers from separation anxiety but after a day she was comfortable and made herself feel at home. Definitely will use Rachel again in the future!”

“My dogs aren't easy. But Chelsea was absolutely phenomenal with them. I had a hard time getting home by the time I was supposed to be. Flight cancelations, weather delays, the whole 9. Chelsea was more than accommodating and flexible with my pickup time and was very understanding while I was under extremely tense situations! Highly recommend to anyone who is searching for a great with all dog type sitter!”

“Louie has such a great time staying with Jennifer and Michael. He loves playing with Billy and Indigo and we love knowing that he’s well cared for and having fun.”

“Michelle was great with my Boxer Scarlett. Had to go out of town unexpectedly and my dog has never spent the night away and she is 4 yrs old . From pickup to updates and her understanding my Scarlett may have some anxiety separation I knew I didn’t have to worry . I will definitely use Michelle again my pup most certainly loved her .”

About: Our family raised and cared for our 15 year old Miniature Schnauzer baby until she recently passed the rainbow bridge. We have opened our home to puppies and adult dogs since her passing and have loved spoiling all of the babies big and small, young and old! I work from home and am able to provide constant love and attention to your babies inside the home. I also am extremely flexible and can come visit your babies at the times you request in your home and spend time with them outside or out of their crate. I have a fenced back yard and a neighborhood with sidewalks where I can walk with your babies if you want them to stay with me. If you choose to keep your baby at your home I will make sure they have love, exercise and time outside of their crate.
About: *PLEASE READ* Transparency is important to me, so I want pet parents to know I work full-time in Mount Pleasant during the weekdays (7:30 AM–4:00 PM). Because of my commute from Summerville, I’m unable to leave work early before 4:00 PM. This schedule works best for pets comfortable during the workday, and I’m fully available for evenings, nights, and weekends.. Communication is very important to me — I provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know your pet is safe and cared for. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely comfortable and confident while they’re apart. I can do drop in before 630 am and anytime after 4 pm Caring for pets fits naturally into my day because spending time with animals is something I truly love.” Dogs are my peace and relaxing time. “Reliable, loving care for your pet, with routines, exercise, and plenty of attention. “Your pet’s happiness and safety is my top priority." Happy babies.
“Jennifer was great with King. She kept me updated everyday with how he was doing by sending videos and pictures. She was great to work with King did very well with her. I will definitely be using her again. Thanks Jennifer you are awesome!”

“Cassandra was amazing!! You can tell she really loves dogs and sent lots of photos to make the separation easier for us. Our dog looked so happy and relaxed in all the photo! Will definitely use her again!”

“Shirley and Leonardo took great care of Sombra. He was very happy, and he ate well during his stay. I am always concerned about where I leave Sombra when I need someone to care for him. Until now, I only trusted family because of the terrible and traumatic experience he had at a boarding facility on Nexton Parkway Boulevard, where he didn’t eat, lost a lot of weight, and was very sad. Shirley and Leonardo were the complete opposite. They kept me updated, made sure Sombra was comfortable, and gave him excellent care. From now on, if they are available, I will leave Sombra with them without thinking twice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and caring pet sitters.”

“This is the second time we’ve used Stephen and Jessica. We couldn’t be happier and would use them again tomorrow if needed. Cork always has a great time playing with their dogs. They take him on walks and he is always tired when we come pick him up. Even though Cork has some interesting behaviors, Stephen and Jessica have gone with the flow and have been very understanding.”

“Amazing! I cannot thank Rebeca and her family enough for taking care of my 2 senior dogs for 9 days while I went on vacation. Knowing they were taken care of was such a relief. I was able to enjoy my trip. She sent me pictures every day. They had a great time.”

“Kathy & Dennis are amazing! They warmly welcomed my foster pup and treated her so sweetly, like she was their own! They sent pictures and updates to keep me informed throughout her weekend stay. Their large fenced backyard was lie paradise for her to run around in! Your pets will be in good hands with Kathy & Dennis!”
“I highly recommend Miss Velma as an expert in caring for dogs. She has everything your furry friend could possibly need. Her home is exceptional, and the backyard truly feels like paradise for both dogs and adults. The comfort and tranquility of the space are simply out of this world. If you're looking for the perfect place for your fur baby, Velma's is the ideal choice. You can find her through Rover! Marcia and Onyx 🐩”

“Manik and his wife were amazing, everything was excellent great communication and we could tell Blu enjoyed his stay. Manik sent videos and pictures interacting outside with Blu reassuring us that he wasn’t locked in a room or kennel all day, that was my biggest concern from past Rover sitters. I would highly recommend this family and definitely book again .”

“Nikki does a great job taking care of Jake. We felt very comfortable leaving our fur baby with Nikki and her family. Thank you for being so attentive to Jake while we were out of town.”

“This was our second stay with Zadok. It felt like our dog became a part of his family. When I picked up, his daughter was still petting and talking sweetly to our KD as I was putting her into the car.”

“Jessica was great with Roo and Charlie! She sent us pictures throughout their stay and made us feel completely at ease leaving them. Both dogs seemed to get along really well with her pup, and she handled Roo’s extra puppy energy without any issue. We really appreciated the updates and would definitely feel comfortable booking with Jessica again.”

My Lola so clearly enjoyed her time here! I received multiple videos and pictures of my dog regularly, as well as regular communications on how she was doing. My pup is very nervous, and she really enjoyed the structured and attentive environment. I will definitely be sending her to her new home away from home again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
