About: We have many animals at our home, we have a two year old lab, 2 cats and 14 chickens. We’ve had a senior dachshund, senior lab and senior cat before so we are all well versed in the care of different animals at different stages. I am currently a stay at home mom so I am able to make our schedule whatever it needs to be to properly care for your animals while you are away. We have a yard with privacy fence so animals can run freely in the yard. We have a two year old lab that does wonderfully with other dogs and would love to be your pets playmate. We have a kennel if need be and are comfortable allowing animals to sleep outside of the kennel as well if that is their preference.
“I really appreciate Josh and Jade! This is my first time ever having to use pet sitters, and they made the process easy. Meet and greet was a breeze, and the option to have them pick up and drop off my baby has been a big help! Taco seems to like going, and I plan to continue with their services. I'm rebooking as soon as I hit submit on this review.”

I have a fenced in yard and have a smaller dog and a trainer dog that helps younger dogs behave .My trainer Nessa helps small or younger dogs with behavioral issues .

“We are very pleased with Monzerrath and our dogs who are very attached to us and suffer when we are away had a great time and took their first visit with her much better than we expected. Her place is nice with a beautiful view and yard. We are very thankful she watched our two dogs, and we plan to repeat it soon. We would highly recommend her!”

“Oreo had the BEST time! He usually is very antisocial and is scared of other dogs, but he had made friends with Cleo (Lizzy's dog). He also comes back from doggy daycares stressed and overwhelmed, but he seemed so refreshed and happy when he came back:) Would definitely recommend Lizzy as the best dogsitter!”

About: I absolutely adore pups of every size and personality! At home, I have a Shih Tzu, a Dalmatian (we thought he was a Lab until we did DNA testing!), and a sweet little Chihuahua. Each one is so different, but together they make the perfect pack. All of my dogs came from tough beginnings, but their resilience and ability to love inspires me every day. Giving them a safe, happy, and loving home has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I would treat your pets just like my own—keeping them safe, cared for, and comfortable while giving them all the love and attention they deserve. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just making sure their needs are fully met, I’ll make sure your furry family members feel right at home. I’m a proud pet parent to three wonderful rescue pups, and I honestly couldn’t love them more. Watching them learn how to simply be dogs—to play, to trust, to feel safe and loved—has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. They give me just as much joy as I give them. Our pack has a well-loved routine: breakfast and dinner together (with Otis getting his pill at each meal). Since I work from home, two of the pups usually “work” alongside me—though Ollie prefers lots of days off. Their work ethic may be questionable, but their company is unmatched! Ozzie, on the other hand, takes his role as head of security very seriously, keeping a close watch from the front window. At home, the dogs are always by my side, whether it’s keeping me company during the day or snuggling at night. They sleep in bed, lounge on the furniture, and honestly think of me as part of the furniture too—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Caring for them has taught me the importance of patience, safety, and unconditional love—values I carry into caring for every dog I meet. Each dog is unique, and I happily adjust to their needs. From carrying Ollie up and down stairs, up and down from the couch to giving him stroller walks so he can keep up, I make sure every pup feels included. I’ll give your dog the same love, patience, and care I give my own. Our home has three friendly pups—Ozzie is the biggest at just 45 lbs! Yard is fully fenced and secure yard, but I always go outside with them to ensure safety. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture, but I’m happy to follow your preferences if you’d like your littles to stick to their own cozy spots. At home, we keep things relaxed and let the pups be themselves. We always keep fresh water available (three bowls downstairs that I’m constantly refilling!). If I’m dropping by to care for your pets, you can count on me to be prompt, respectful, and to show them the same love and attention I give my own. Keeping dogs safe is a top priority for me—I know the worry of even imagining a lost pet, and I’ll always make sure yours are secure. Beyond that, I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or even having a “deep conversation” with them. After all, they always have the best listening ears.

You can rest assured that I treat every pet as my own, providing love, attention, and personalized care throughout their stay. Our secure backyard features a 6-foot privacy fence, perfect for small dogs to play and go potty. I also have a crate available if needed. About: Hi! I'm Kernix — a military spouse, dog lover, and proud chocolate Lab mom to Josie! I know how important it is to find a safe, loving, and stress-free place for your pup while you're away. My goal is to provide a true "home away from home" experience with lots of attention, structure, and affection. I grew up around animals and have always loved caring for them. Growing up, we had pugs, chihuahuas, bunnies, and hamsters, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. We moved to South Carolina in October 2025 after previously being stationed in Washington. My husband is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, and we've loved settling into the Summerville community and making it feel like home. 1 Family at a Time: I only accept one client family at a time so your pup will receive personalized care without the stress of a crowded boarding environment. This setup works especially well for puppies, anxious dogs, seniors, or dogs who simply do better with a calmer environment. About Our Home & Routine: We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood with a fully fenced backyard where pups can safely play, sniff, and explore. Dogs enjoy regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment activities, belly rubs, and lots of companionship throughout the day. I also closely follow feeding routines and medication schedules when needed. Meet Josie: We also have our sweet chocolate Lab,Josie! She is extremely friendly and social and has done wonderfully with every person, dog, and cat she has met so far. Josie enjoys meeting friendly dogs and would love a playmate during your pup's stay. Meet & Greets & Communication: I highly encourage meet & greets before boarding, especially for first-time stays. I want both you and your pup to feel comfortable and confident before booking. Communication is very important to me, and I always do my best to stay flexible with drop-off and pick-up times whenever possible. Boarding & Doggy daycare: Doggy day care pickup is by 5 PM. If pickup is needed after 5 PM, please book boarding instead so I can properly accommodate your pup's evening and overnight care routine. Boarding Requirements: To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, I currently only accept: • Dogs that are reasonably potty trained • Friendly dogs that do well around people and other dogs • Dogs that are up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention Because I provide care in my personal home, I may not be the best fit for dogs with severe separation anxiety, destructive behaviors, or frequent indoor accidents.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
