About: I have had pets my entire life and have been a pet parent since 1995. I've had the privilege of having both dogs and cats in our home. And I have also previously pet sat for birds and the occassional pot-bellied pig. I have previously given both cats and dogs oral meds (both liquid and pill form), injectable meds and subcutaneous fluids when needed. With our family pets I have experienced puppy & kittenhood all the way through the elder years. So I am well versed on the needs for each individual age. I do work, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me time during the day and night to take care of your furry kiddos. Whether that entails walks, pop in visits or overnight stays... my goal is to help your fur babies stay happy and calm while you are away. At this point I only offer sitting in your home as my two kitty kiddos tend to be skittish with new faces human or animal. I would never want to stress them out and/or add any stress to your pets.
“Lauren took great care of our cats, hamster, and fish and took great pictures during her stay. The cats look like they had a great time with her and we could rest easy during our vacation (:”

About: We’re a pet-loving household with years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all personalities and energy levels. We have two friendly, lazy hounds, two laid-back cats, and our young son, who absolutely loves animals and has grown up learning how to be gentle, respectful, and caring with pets. I work from home and balance my schedule with classes, so I’m able to provide consistent attention throughout the day whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or drop-in visits. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and their needs will always be a priority. Whether your dog loves to play or just relax in the sun, we can accommodate their pace and preferences. We have comfy couches they can rest on when they're done outside and maybe get a treat or few. As a special touch, every dog that stays with us receives a complimentary bath before going home, so they come back to you happy, clean, and well cared for. Safety is our top priority, and we always require a meet and greet before booking to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone and that each pet feels comfortable in our care.

“As far as I can tell, everything went really well. Sara texted me after each drop-in visit to let me know how things were going. She followed the instructions I left. Will be contacting her again.”

About: Hi new family! My name is Elayne but family and friends call me Lanie. I know our dogs are not just an animal. They are the warm heartbeat at our feet. Literally I've been a dog lover, owner, caretaker and sitter my whole life. Until recently we lost our best buddy Nikko. He was a Japanese Akita, a big ball of fluff and love. My husband and I decided not to adopt another dog. As much love and room we have in our hearts, and there is nothing better than having a dog as a member of the family. We also know it's a life long commitment. We talked about how could we fill that void. We still have the love and the time. Just not the forever. So why not be the extention of a family? The bennies for all! Right? Drop of your furry baby with auntie. I know there are some great day cares in the area however your precious fur baby going to a home away from home is no comparison. Home is where its at. Home is where the love is. Hope to meet you soon! Communication is the key. I'm super flexible. Because of that, I'm sure I'll be able to cater to your dog's needs. That way your pet is not thrown off it's schedule and continues to stay comfortable at his/her home away from home. Your pet is family. Thats how they will get treated. I have a closed fenced yard. I'm also a daily walker. If your dog takes walks. I'm all in! Walking is great exercise. It's always better to have a furry friend to take with.
“Brianna was a huge help for me and my pup! He was in a cone during her visits and she took care of him with ease! He loved having her care for him and we can’t wait to use her in the future. She was great with communication and very reliable.”
“I’ve had medical issues to deal with for the last couple of months. Some of my recent booking requests haven’t been well planned. Jennifer and I worked with her schedule (always full!!) so that I was able to get Fiona walked .”

About: I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I wish I could have a dog of my own, but due to where I'm currently living my landlord doesn't allow dogs. I have grown up with a dog and it is hard not having one around. My childhood dog was Bruno who was a Boston Terrier. When he passed away it was devastating, but we had the opportunity to adopt Gizmo who was Pug and lived with me up until the middle of high school. After Gizmo passed away, we adopted Odie who was another Boston Terrier. We rescued him from California, and he brought so much love and joy. Years later due to his health issues and age, he eventually went to doggy heaven. I love having the opportunity through Rover to be around dogs. All instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your fur buddy happy! My schedule is flexible when it comes to fitting pet care into my daily/weekly routine. I can accommodate to make sure the pets routines are consistent with having a similar schedule in place. During the meet and greet is when I like to find more about the pet, when they are to be fed, bathroom breaks, playtime, exercise, and sleep. It is important to have a schedule in place, so nothing is forgotten about and helps to keep everything structured. Whether the service being drop-in visits, or dog walking. I will be transparent, always verifying with the client's first, and asking for all necessary information. For example, care instructions, owner contact information, and emergency contact information for every stay.
“Anais was very communicative, gave good feedback, took care of my fur babies, and did exactly what I asked of her. I willl definitely be rebooking in the future!! Thank you so much!”

Each animals needs and training will be taken into consideration. It's easy for me to read an animals energy and adjust the kind of care I give accordingly.
About: I was pre-veterinary throughout college and spent several years working as a veterinary assistant. I have owned dogs & cats since I was a little girl, and now own a 3 year old chocolate lab named Boone whom I trained to retrieve and do game recovery myself! Growing up I often pet sat for family friends and neighbors, and have always loved animals. I was the little girl who brought any animal home (sorry mom and dad) and just love to see all of their little (or big) personalities! I’ve always been drawn to working with animals, and I’d love to love on your fur baby! Currently available Monday through Friday 7 am - 7 pm. Limited availability on Saturdays. Currently, sundays are unavailable unless I’m watching your pet in your home while you are away. While I don’t have an appropriate setting to care for your pet in my home (currently have one dog living in my home), I would love to drop in and care for your pet in your home. I’ll always make sure they have water before I leave (unless given special instructions), give them plenty of time to potty and stretch their legs, of course give some scratches and play time, and follow any special instructions left for me. I’m also able to administer medications and have experience caring for animals in a veterinary setting.

We can’t say enough good things about Brianna. From the very first meeting, it was clear how much they truly love and understand dogs. Dexter & Cleo immediately felt comfortable with her, and we felt completely at ease leaving them in her care. We highly recommend Brianna to anyone looking for a dog sitter who treats your pet like their own!

Lauren was responsive when I needed dog care unexpectedly at the last minute. My planning was a bit chaotic due to the urgent nature of my trip and one of my dogs switching from staying home with Lauren to traveling with me due to her emergency surgery 3 days prior to my departure. Lauren was very accommodating with all of the changes. She came and did a meet and greet and even agreed to water my chickens one day during her time here. On day two of four, my boyfriend was doing work at my house and 45 minutes after the scheduled visit time, he asked if I wanted him to feed her bc she hadn't yet arrived. When I called Lauren through the app to be sure she was okay, there was no answer. Immediately after, she checked in on the app. I called my BF who stated she still wasn't at the home, he was outside in the front of the house, then stated she was pulling in. I then requested photos on the chat of starts and ends of visits which she provided, and she communicated well after that with another delay due to work. I didn't mind, stuff happens. It is noteworthy that the remaining visits were a bit longer than the appointed times, which was nice, But the early check in prior to being at my home made me feel uneasy the remainder of my trip. Had my BF not been there that one visit, I wouldn't have known.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
