“Rowan did a great job and is very communicative. We were nervous about leaving our dog on New Years Eve with the fireworks, but they provided great company!”

“Julie was wonderful. I am sure it was a rough start with my extremely anxious dog yet she managed to win his love and I felt confident he was taken great care of during my travels.”

“Aaron was wonderful and truly loved spending time with Gracie and Roxie! Aaron sent pictures and updates daily, which was greatly appreciated! He let me know that Roxie took a little bit of time to warm up but then was herself with being a big snuggler, and that Gracie did great on her walks. Last time we had made this trip we had an 8 hour delay, and asked Aaron ahead of time if something like this happened again could he stay, and he said he could. Luckily all went well and we were able to arrive home on time to two very happy and very well cared for pups! Will definitely use Aaron again!!”

“Megan was an excellent sitter for my boys! I was able to leave my 2 boxers home while I travelled for a day long business trip. Megan sent pictures, notes and kept me informed throughout the day. I returned to 2 happy pups and a neat & tidy home. Thank you Megan!”

“Yet again, Lauren took great care of my pup: I had to be gone an extended time : almost of a full month, and Lauren did everything I asked, took care of my house and gave River all the love and attention. So grateful💚”

“Kenzie is awesome! We have an older dog on multiple medications and she managed her perfectly. She is kind, loves dogs and communicated well with us while we were away. We felt super comfortable leaving our girl with Kenzie.”

“I cannot recommend Lydia enough for all of your petsitting needs - she watched our pups AND backyard ducks when we went out of town for the weekend. My husband and I came home from our trip to two content and relaxed boys (our dogs) and four happy and peppy girls (our ducks). Lydia went above and beyond by taking out the trash, washing the towels, and changing the sheets before she left…we’ll most definitely use her again!”

“First time Rover user🙋🏼♀️ We have had a great experience with Abigail!! We left instructions / information for her and she did well with our routine and sent us lots of photos of our Swissy:) We will definitely be booking Abigail each time we go out of town! 💕”

“Very attentive. Took great care of my animals. She even made friends with my elusive cat and we all know animals have the best instincts about people. I couldn’t recommend her enough”

“Katlyn is absolutely fantastic. She is kind and thoughtful and made us feel at ease about leaving our pup, Albus, for the first time. She shared pics and updates throughout the evening and it was clear that Albus had a blast with her. I highly recommend her and I hope she will come back to watch Albus again in the future.”

“Sara did a great job taking care of my babies. She kept me informed during my travels and sent great photos. My house was kept great and the furbabies were happy when I arrived.”

“Absolutely amazing care and such a sweet person. Carla came over before our doggy staycation to meet Blaze and Luna and they were immediately in love with her. We got daily update photos and they seemed to be living it up! Thank you so much Carla!”

“Best care Drake has received while I’ve been out of town. Sabrina is an excellent communicator and sent regular updates, and most importantly Drake loved hanging out with her!”

“Katherine was great! She was able to accommodate my last-minute request for in-home sitting. She was fantastic at communication and met my sweet boy's needs. It was wonderful to have someone in my home whom I felt comfortable leaving my babies with. I love how many pictures she sent over the weekend, and I was able to relax and enjoy being out of town with family. I would absolutely recommend her for all of your pet setting needs, and I plan on having her watch my babies again!”

“Very thankful for Vicki taking care of our boy while on vacation. She arrived/left at the agreed upon times and kept in touch which eased my mind when missing him. Highly recommend her!”

“Kira is the best dog sitter we've had! One of my dogs is very shy and usually doesn't let sitters pet him but he loved her and was cuddling with her. We also have an exotic pet that she took good care of. She left my house very clean and texted me lots of updates and pictures. Will definitely he using her again.”

“Sophie & Jacob are just the best! They take such good care of my 3 pups and my house when I’m away. It’s so nice not worrying about anything and being able to enjoy time away because you know everyone’s in such good hands. Very appreciative of them!”

“I would 100% recommend Erika. She was great with our anxious dog and left our house cleaner than we did. She was very communicative and provided regular updates. She is also super friendly and I felt very comfortable having her stay in our home!”

Aubrea was absolutely amazing. Always kept us updated on how they were and sent tons of photos while we were away. This was our first time leaving the dogs with someone other than family so we were a little nervous, but very thankful we found Aubrea. We will definitely be booking with her again when we need a dog sitter

Tristan did an amazing job caring for our four pups! It was clear they were happy, relaxed, and well cared for while we were away. He kept us updated with plenty of photos and thoughtful stories about our fur babies, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel connected to them the entire time. We returned to a clean home and four very happy dogs. We would gladly trust Tristan with our pups again!

We couldn’t have asked for a better house and pet sitter! Aaron took such great care of our dog and cat while we were away and gave us so much peace of mind. He kept the house exactly how we left it, sent lots of photos and videos, and it was clear our pets were very loved and well cared for while we were gone. Being able to see updates and happy pets made all the difference. We’re so thankful for his help and will absolutely be calling Aaron for all of our future pet-sitting needs!

We had Staci stay with our Pittie, Jax, in our home, for 15 days. She came over for a meet and greet before we departed and Jax took to her immediately. Staci was dependable, neat, and trustworthy. She took such great care of Jax, even let him sleep with her. She sent us regular updates and pictures while we were gone. We came home to find not only a happy dog, but a clean house too. I would definitely rebook with Staci and would recommend her to anyone.

Rylee did a great job taking care of our animals. Everything was done just as we asked. She kept my house clean while staying here I was nervous about letting someone stay in my home for 5 days. Rylee communicated with me the whole time she was here. I will use her again. She is a sweet girl! Thank you Rover for this website and thank you Rylee, you are pure gold

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Willowbrook walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Willowbrook maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willowbrook choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Willowbrook. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
