Alexandra is amazing! She’s so kind, thoughtful, responsive, reliable, and hard working! My Doberman had an amazing time with her and he was definitely well taken care of. He came back exhausted (in the best way possible), which made me a very happy camper! I highly recommend her!

Jeanne was very patient with Opie as he did not understand why “Daddy” wasn’t walking him. They became best buds and I would use her again in a pinch!

About: I have been working as a veterinary technician since 2023. I believe it’s very important to advocate for those without a voice. My knowledge, skills and intuition allow me to give the best care possible. I grew up taking care of various animals including dogs, cats, and birds. From feathered to furred and all creatures in between, I make animal caretaking a routine. I work part-time on the weekends, so my availability during the week is open as needed. Friday and Saturday I am available morning and evenings (before and after work). I will adjust to whatever your pet needs within your home. Whether they need playtime or naps, walks or backyard entertainment, I can comply accordingly.

Bailey took our vizsla, Roxy, for a couple of outings to the dog park during a complete heat wave. Roxy had a blast and Bailey was very mindful of the heat and made sure that there was plenty of shade and water during their outings.

About: I have had dogs all my life. I am part of a family of four: My husband Neil, and our two children, James (12) and Taylor (11). We relocated from South Africa about 2 and a half years ago. We would love to look after your fur baby until we are able to get one of our own. We used to have a golden retriever and a bullmastiff but they passed away shortly before we left South Africa. We brought our cat, Julie, with us. She is used to dogs. We are available for boarding on weekends and sometimes during the week, depending on our schedules. Both adults work full time with some flexibility to work from home. We have a fenced in back yard and a 6 year old cat who is used to dogs, including large dogs. We are very used to having dogs around us.

About: I am a huge animal lover! I have cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, activity levels, and many that need a little extra love and attention. My husband and I currently have two dogs, a beagle and a 115lb lab, so I am comfortable caring for dogs that pull, prefer to keep to themselves, and even those that have separation anxiety. I am a young professional that works full time but my schedule is pretty flexible. I would love to drop by for a potty break and play session during the day or in the evening! I understand that trusting your fur baby and your home to a stranger is a big decision. That’s why I am committed to following your explicit directions and sending lots of photos and updates during my time with your pup! I will care for your pup and your home like it is my own! I do not bring my dogs along so I can give yours my undivided attention.

About: I've had dogs since I was 8-years-old. I'm now a 37-year-old professional with two dogs of my own - my dachshund Cooper and goldendoodle Charley. We love going for walks and playing catch. I work remotely so I'd love to spend time with your pups in THEIR home so that they are as comfortable as possible. I'm happy to adapt to your pets' needs. I love getting outside! I usually try to do at least three walks a day - more if there isn't a fenced in yard. I love playing catch, going to dog parks, and lots of cuddles. I believe in routine, so what you do, I will do!

Breanna walked my pup for me while I was at work for the past 3 years and I could not have asked for a better sitter! My dog absolutely loved her and she took such good care of her! Life has taken us in opposite directions and I'm so sad to lose her. I highly recommend her if you want someone who is going to love on your pup like they're her own!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 2,656 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Woodville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Woodville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Woodville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodville. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
