About: Dogs have been part of our life forever, and now we share our adventures with our playful 2.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog! We’re pros at beach zoomies, exploring trails at John’s Island County Park, and playing with our friends at the dog park. Your furry friend will be treated like part of the pack—playtime, snuggles, and endless tail wags guaranteed! Your dog(s) can have their own separate comfortable suite in our home or can mingle and play as much as they'd like with our pup, whichever you/they prefer! Conveniently located on your way to Kiawah/Seabrook Island, we are here to make your time away from home comfortable and convenient! We have a unique living situation where we live above the bicycle shop we own so one of us will be “home” most of the days. Our schedules aren’t consistent but if we aren’t “home” running the shop, we won’t be away from home for longer than 3 hours at a time. In our home, pets are treated like family, and every day is a new adventure! The mornings always kick off with fetch in our yard. While we’re in the process of building a fence, our yard is tucked away off the road, next to a quiet driveway leading to a storage facility—plenty of space to play safely! Our dog (and yours, if you’re comfortable) then heads to work at the bicycle shop, where she’s the official greeter and mood booster, soaking up love from coworkers (furry ones and human ones) and guests. Midday breaks are all about chasing tennis balls and soaking in extra snuggles. After work, the real fun begins! We head to John’s Island County Park’s dog park or Beachwalker Park for epic sunset zoomies on the beach. Your pup will enjoy endless playtime, love, and adventure with us—it’s a tail-wagging good time every single day! Your dog(s) can join in on all the fun with the other pups and people or can be kept separate while still being comfortable, getting lots of play, and all the love they need!

The PERFECT dog sitter!!! I would highly recommend Abigail. She walked my dog twice a day for 6 weeks while I recovered from surgery. I could not have made it without her. She is 100% trust worthy and dependable. I would have no problem with her staying at my house for overnights. Her medical knowledge is a big plus for aging dogs. I give her 10 stars!! You will be very pleased if you use her. She was very loving to my dog and took extra time for walks. We will miss her!!

About: From handling cats, handling reptiles, training my own puppy, handling small and big dogs, I am happy to check on you babies while you are away. I work full time at home but I am happy to check in on your baby before work, during my break, and after work if need be. During school year, I can do walks or check in between the hours of 8am-1pm. I have a fenced in yard with a mastiff dog, he is currently not neutered so only females who are spayed may come over. The fence does have open slots that a smaller dog could get out from.

I have experience watching and caring for dogs, cats, chickens, lizards, small rodents, fish, etc. I live a very active lifestyle and spend a lot of time outside so am happy to provide whatever type of care your pet requires! I am starting school at the CofC graduate program in marine bio, so my weekday schedule varies but I should be free most early mornings, evenings, and weekends! I have two cats and a puppy at home that are all very loved and cared for. The last person to watch my cats kept saying it was obvious how loved they are. My puppy gets tons of exercise and enrichment every day and I’d love to show similar care to your pets!

About: I’ve been taking care of friends/ family’s animals for the past 10 years. I’ve watched horses, donkeys and alpacas as well as more domesticated animals. I’m finishing summer courses and have free time on my hands with a lot of student debt. I’m free Monday - Sunday, morning- night. My courses are online so I have the freedom to create my schedule. Feel free to let me know your schedule and I hope we can work around it I love all animals and have since I was a child. Truly, sometimes I like animals more than humans. • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
