This was the first time I used Kim & Dylan for doggy daycare for Reba & Willow. We did have a meet & greet prior to our first day of doggy daycare & They were amazing with my dogs. Kim & Dylan were very accommodating & attentive to Reba & Willow. Reba can be a bit nervous and Willow can be a bit over excited and they made both dogs feel comfortable. Both dogs were very happy & tired when I picked them up. I highly recommend Kim & Dylan and I would not hesitate to use them for doggy daycare (again) or boarding.

2nd stay with Kathryn as we road trip through Charleston. Buster was here a few months ago on another road trip, and as we drove up today, he seemed to remember and went right in without saying goodbye to me! So I know he was happy. :-)

About: As a fellow dog momma, I know how hard it is to leave your fur baby with someone else. My goal is to make both you and your pup feel comfortable, safe, and cared for by providing personalized, one-on-one care. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the same love and attention they’re used to at home 🩷. You’ll receive daily photo updates, prompt communication, and personalized attention so you can have peace of mind knowing your family member is in loving hands. I am currently on summer break from my school based job so I am home for the majority of days. Once school starts back up, I am a work from home employee so your pup will have unlimited access to our house. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment where your fur baby will feel secure, safe, and relaxed. My backyard is fenced in and my house offers one floor to make moving around easy. I follow each pet’s routine to include feeding, walking, play, medications, and any specific instructions. I believe clear communication is essential so I provide regular photo and video updates to keep you informed and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to create safe and positive experiences for both you and your baby.

About: Dogs have been part of our life forever, and now we share our adventures with our playful 2.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog! We’re pros at beach zoomies, exploring trails at John’s Island County Park, and playing with our friends at the dog park. Your furry friend will be treated like part of the pack—playtime, snuggles, and endless tail wags guaranteed! Your dog(s) can have their own separate comfortable suite in our home or can mingle and play as much as they'd like with our pup, whichever you/they prefer! Conveniently located on your way to Kiawah/Seabrook Island, we are here to make your time away from home comfortable and convenient! We have a unique living situation where we live above the bicycle shop we own so one of us will be “home” most of the days. Our schedules aren’t consistent but if we aren’t “home” running the shop, we won’t be away from home for longer than 3 hours at a time. In our home, pets are treated like family, and every day is a new adventure! The mornings always kick off with fetch in our yard. While we’re in the process of building a fence, our yard is tucked away off the road, next to a quiet driveway leading to a storage facility—plenty of space to play safely! Our dog (and yours, if you’re comfortable) then heads to work at the bicycle shop, where she’s the official greeter and mood booster, soaking up love from coworkers (furry ones and human ones) and guests. Midday breaks are all about chasing tennis balls and soaking in extra snuggles. After work, the real fun begins! We head to John’s Island County Park’s dog park or Beachwalker Park for epic sunset zoomies on the beach. Your pup will enjoy endless playtime, love, and adventure with us—it’s a tail-wagging good time every single day! Your dog(s) can join in on all the fun with the other pups and people or can be kept separate while still being comfortable, getting lots of play, and all the love they need!

About: Hi - I’m Maggie - your trustworthy pet companion on Rover.com! With a heart devoted to furry friends, I bring honesty, reliability, and a lifetime of love for animals to every pet I care for. As a proud parent to a precious 9-year-old teacup Yorkie – the love of my life – and having grown up surrounded by the joy of three dogs in my home, my passion for animals is not just a job, it's a lifelong commitment. Your pet's happiness is my priority, and with me, they're not just in good hands, but in loving ones. I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule. Depending on the size of the animal and the duration, I may be open to overnight stays in my home. Stick to the pet's regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. Provide ample affection and attention to alleviate any separation anxiety. Prepare and serve meals according to the specified diet. Administer any necessary medications with strict adherence to dosage and schedule. Engage in playtime activities to keep the pet physically and mentally stimulated. Ensure regular walks, considering the pet's energy level and exercise requirements. Grooming: Keep an eye on the pet's overall hygiene and report any concerns to the owner. Keep a vigilant eye on the pet's health and behavior. Report any signs of illness, unusual behavior, or changes in appetite to the owner promptly. Ensure the security of the client's home, following any specified security measures. Maintain open communication with the pet owner through regular updates, including photos and messages, to provide reassurance and keep them informed about their pet's well-being. Familiarize yourself with the location of emergency supplies, veterinary contacts, and the nearest animal hospital. Have a clear understanding of emergency procedures and contacts provided by the pet owner. Leave the home in the same condition (or better) as you found it. Ensure a smooth transition for the pet upon the owner's return. By combining professionalism, a genuine love for animals, and a commitment to following client instructions, I can create a positive and trusting relationship with both my clients and their pets.

Christina and her husband took great care of our pup this weekend while we toured wedding venues around the Charleston area. She sent updates and pictures throughout the day and made time to play fetch even though it had rained earlier in the day. Sunnie slept our whole drive back to Charlotte so I can tell that she had a great time. 10/10

We have been traveling the country in our motorhome and hired Heather to dog sit our girl twice while visiting Charleston. She was very responsive and Tessa had a great time playing with Heather’s dogs while we toured the city. A big bonus is that Heather is a VERY short distance from James Island County Park campground where we stayed so it was easy-peasy to get there!! We’ll definitely call Heather next time we visit Charleston!

About: I have two dogs 9 & 5 and one kitty. My older pup had a back injury when she was 2, so I’ve dealt with all types of special care for pups who need a bit of assistance as well as administering medications, etc. My animals are my children and I would take care of someone else’s babies as my own! I work full time but typically off by 2pm. I focus on long walks or adventures in the evenings that get my pups worn out leading into the following day while I’m at work. I also have a huge fenced in backyard for them to play in! Bare minimum one walk a day, feeding morning and night, my dogs roam the house while I’m gone but they are trained and older- I can follow instructions easily with preferred schedules(:

About: I've always loved animals ever since I was a child and have had pets ever since. I always felt animals make our lives better and my 3 pets have done nothing but enrich my life. I rescued my cat Drogo when he was a kitten 9 years ago, Link my second cat a year and a half ago, and Kai, my puppy, 6 months ago. All of my animals get along and my puppy is always looking for a play mate! I've done dog and cat sitting for both family and friends for about 10 or so years now when I lived in PA and would love to continue that now that I'm finally settled in Mt. Pleasant! I am in the tech industry which has allowed me to work from home during the week/daytime. I do not work on weekends which will allow me to focus more of my time on your fur babies! I have a decent size 1 bedroom apt but prefer smaller animals as a half a 4 lb puppy and 2 cats. If you would like me to board out of your home I would need to bring my puppy Kai. I take Kai potty every hr and a half 2 hrs and walk him twice a day so your dog would be on my dog's schedule unless told otherwise. My cats are very nice to other animals and so is Kai, again he would love a playmate!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Kiawah Island on Rover is $16.05 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 709 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Kiawah Island. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Kiawah Island commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 709 sitters in Kiawah Island, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
