About: Charleston local with a passion for animals and extensive experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I grew up with German Shorthair Pointer, Gretchen, and a Springer Spaniel named Molly. My mother had a 20 pound schnoodle, Henry, who stays with me 2-3 times a week. My place is on 12 acres of land on Wadmalaw Island, a doggy paradise for breeds that require extensive off-leash exercise and freedom. I work from home and can be flexible, ensuring that pets get all the care, attention and exercise needed to ensure the are as happy as possible while their owner is away I live on 12 acres where dogs can be off leash if allowed. About: Dogs have been part of our life forever, and now we share our adventures with our playful 2.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog! We’re pros at beach zoomies, exploring trails at John’s Island County Park, and playing with our friends at the dog park. Your furry friend will be treated like part of the pack—playtime, snuggles, and endless tail wags guaranteed! Your dog(s) can have their own separate comfortable suite in our home or can mingle and play as much as they'd like with our pup, whichever you/they prefer! Conveniently located on your way to Kiawah/Seabrook Island, we are here to make your time away from home comfortable and convenient! We have a unique living situation where we live above the bicycle shop we own so one of us will be “home” most of the days. Our schedules aren’t consistent but if we aren’t “home” running the shop, we won’t be away from home for longer than 3 hours at a time. In our home, pets are treated like family, and every day is a new adventure! The mornings always kick off with fetch in our yard. While we’re in the process of building a fence, our yard is tucked away off the road, next to a quiet driveway leading to a storage facility—plenty of space to play safely! Our dog (and yours, if you’re comfortable) then heads to work at the bicycle shop, where she’s the official greeter and mood booster, soaking up love from coworkers (furry ones and human ones) and guests. Midday breaks are all about chasing tennis balls and soaking in extra snuggles. After work, the real fun begins! We head to John’s Island County Park’s dog park or Beachwalker Park for epic sunset zoomies on the beach. Your pup will enjoy endless playtime, love, and adventure with us—it’s a tail-wagging good time every single day! Your dog(s) can join in on all the fun with the other pups and people or can be kept separate while still being comfortable, getting lots of play, and all the love they need!

“Can't give enough compliments to Tara and her family! I have been traveling a lot with my dog and ran into dilemmas when I couldn't bring him certain places with me. Knowing he would be an anxious mess staying in an unfamiliar setting, I looked for nearby sitters and was amazed at Tara's quick response on such short notice. Her neighborhood is perfect for dog walking and her home is clean, safe, and comfortable. Her children are so respectful and were wonderful helpers during Crusoe's stay. I received photos of him enjoying time outside and of course cuddling with the little ones! I rebooked again with Tara the next day and won't hesitate to do so next time we're in town!”
About: I have 3 years experience working at a boarding kennel. Working with puppies to full adult dogs. Worked with scheduled play times, particular feeding routines, bathroom breaks, cleaning the kennels, and one on one interaction. I work from home and in the office depending on my needs. I’m available all weekdays and weekends! If your dog requires more care I can work from home on those days. I have one tiny dachshund to keep your dog company! We have a fenced in backyard along with a golf course as our back yard as well. We let the dogs run around at night on a leash on the field. About: I worked at Oradell Animal Hospital for over 2 years in the Emergency Room, taking care of the most critical patients in the ICU, along with simple tasks like walking them, feeding them, etc. I recently graduated from college and am officially a New Jersey liscensed Veterinary Technician, along with all of the prior hospital experience! I also worked at a grooming shop for 4 years which including washing, drying, grooming, etc. Since a young age my passion has always been to be surrounded by animals. Dog sitting and walking is currently my full time job! I’m not actively doing Vet Tech work, so I’m more than happy to give your furry babies my undivided attention! Fenced in yard, plenty of bowls and dishes, crates, toys, and am open to providing whatever else your animal may need. All of my pets are sweet and love making new friends!
