“Exceptional Pet Sitter. Tonya was exceptional in her communication and sending pictures daily of our pups. Tonya was punctual in her arrival for her pet sitting and rearranged her departure to accomodate our late afternoon arrival from our holiday break to ensure the energetic pups had one last potty break before our return. Not only did she take care of our pups she left the house spoltess as well. Thanks so much Tonya. We appreciate you taking care of Waddy and Marsh. They had a great time with you.”

“Elise was fantastic! We have a somewhat challenging situation as our two dogs currently don't get along and have to be separated. Elise was really understanding and hyper aware of the situation, ensuring both dogs would be safe. Our dogs took to her immediately making us feel at ease. She sent a bunch of photos, walked the boys a ton and gave them the attention they needed! She stayed overnight at our house and was very respectful of our home. We will definitely be using Elise for future out of town trips!”

“Erika went over and beyond for me and my baby. She was extremely attentive, alerted me to a rash that turns badly really fast and now he is on antibiotics. Very thorough, lots of updates and pictures. Could not have had a better person take care of your babies.”
About: I've been actively caring for animals for more than 14 years :). Growing up, I regularly pet-sat for family friends, and my family often took in stray cats and litters of kittens, giving me hands-on experience with pets of all ages and personalities. Today, I have three cats of my own and continue to pet sit for friends and family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs playtime, companionship, a consistent routine, or extra patience and attention, I'm committed to providing loving and reliable care while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a full-time job with a very flexible hybrid schedule. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I can work from anywhere, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide care, check-ins, walks, or companionship throughout the day. I currently specialize in occasional bookings, vacation care, and drop-in visits. At this time, I’m not accepting recurring weekly walking schedules. I'm also fully available on weekends. At home, I care for my three cats with my partner, which allows me the flexibility to accommodate pet sitting while ensuring every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I enjoy spending time with animals and am committed to keeping them happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you're away. I provide care that is tailored to each pet’s needs and routine, whether in my home or in a client’s home. In my client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, litter box care, and any specific instructions provided. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while their owners are away, along with regular updates for peace of mind. In my own home, pets are cared for in a calm and safe environment. I ensure they are supervised, given a consistent routine, and treated like part of the family. I currently have three cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to create a clean, low-stress space where animals feel secure and cared for.
“Highly recommend Vicki. Communicated and sent pictures regularly. House was clean and she even put clean sheets on our bed since we were coming in late and tired! I doubt our Zoe even missed us. We hope to use her again this summer if she’ll come back!!”

“We were so nervous to have a first time in-house dog sitter while away for the weekend. But Jalisa was so wonderful!!! She kept us updated with pictures of play & mealtime. Was incredibly respectful of our home and left it spotless. Our dogs (that can be quite rowdy) were so happy and well taken care of. JaLisa will be the first call we make the next time we need a pet sitter!”

“Tristan was just fantastic! He kept us updated with walks and adorable photos, and the house was spotless when we returned. He even went the extra mile by washing the sheets on the guest bed! Our dogs absolutely adored him! We can’t wait to have Tristan look after both of them again!”

“I can't put into words how absolutely AMAZING Tara was!!! My pups *adored* her! Both of my pups can be quite a handful, yet Tara handled them seamlessly and I could tell she truly loved them. Because of Tara, I was able to enjoy my honeymoon without worrying about my dogs, since I know they were being cared for so well. Tara provided thorough updates everyday, including cute pictures and funny little tidbits about them. :) She communicated so well if she had any questions, and she took top-notch care of them. In addition to daily mobile updates, she left behind a detailed spreadsheet with hourly updates to read through when we returned, and this absolutely floored me! Tara also went above and beyond to give my pup a bath (she asked my permission first) and she even cleaned, did the dishes, and did the laundry... so I came back to an immaculate house after a long day of travel!! As a part-time dog walker myself, I have very high standards and Tara exceeded them by miles!! She is the absolute best, and I would definitely recommend her!!!!!! Thank you Tara!!!!”

“Gabriella took amazing care of my two doggies for over two weeks and they were in great shape when I came back! She was great at communicating and sending me pictures every day. She was also very respectful of my house and I could not have asked for a better and trusted sitter.”

“Graham is an exceptional pet sitter! He took great care of our dog - sent daily, detailed updates. We returned from a week away to a spotless house and very happy dog! Highly recommend Graham’s services - would give him more than 5 stars if I could!!”

“I will continue to post great things about Brandi - she takes amazing care of my fur monsters and was incredibly flexible when I had to make some travel changes to come home early. She was compassionate and kind, and in the midst of why I had to return home early, she went above and beyond and cleaned my bedding, bath and my dishes so I could come home and rest/heal. Brandi is not only a great person for your animals, but is an overall wonderful human being. Could not recommend more.”

“Sophie was amazing!! We couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter!! She was very nice, responsive, helpful, and just a joy to have stay in our home!! We will only be using her moving forward!! Highly recommend!!”

About: "I believe pets are family, and I treat every animal I care for as my own. With 6 years of professional pet sitting and fostering experience, I am deeply comfortable managing multi-pet households, including cats and dogs living together. I understand that cats often need a more gentle, patient approach, and I'm highly experienced in administering [e.g., daily insulin injections, oral pills, fluid therapies] and maintaining clean, stress-free environments. I do light house cleaning daily or as needed.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,536 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across White Point Landing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred White Point Landing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in White Point Landing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in White Point Landing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
