Hello! I grew up on a ranch, where caring for animals was simply part of everyday life. From feeding and cleaning to handling animals with different temperaments, I learned early on how to be patient, observant, and dependable. Animals have always been a constant in my life, and that foundation shaped the way I care for them today! As I got older, friends, family, and neighbors naturally trusted me to care for their pets while they were away. To support myself through college, I worked as a veterinary technician assistant, which deepened my understanding of animal health and behavior. That experience taught me how to safely handle pets, give medications, recognize changes that may signal discomfort or illness, and provide calm, reassuring care. I bring both heart and experience to every visit. I do not rush through care. I take my time, pay attention, and make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. My dream is to go back into vet care when able, but for now I am more than happy to bring my heart and experience to you and your pets!

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the space and the animals with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I carefully follow all routines and instructions, pay close attention to doors, gates, feeding guidelines, and safety concerns, and make sure pets feel comfortable and secure. With my background as a veterinary technician assistant, I am trained to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, or discomfort and respond calmly and appropriately. I handle pets gently, move at their pace, and always prioritize their safety and well being.

Dei’Ja was amazing while watching my kitty. She was extremely flexible and willing to book me last minute to watch my cat on Christmas Day. She was always timely and great at communicating!
Dei’Ja was a fantastic sitter!! Responsive, cared for my dog, and was intentional about using every minute of the booked service to care for my pup! 10/10 would book again.

Ok, I’ll start by saying that this review will never be sufficient enough to explain just how pleased with the care and treatment my dog received with Dei’Ja and her adorable daughter. Her daughter and Jackson were drawn to each other immediately and that made me so happy. My boy is blind and deaf so I was concerned about how he would react not really knowing what was going on. Pictures daily showed me that he was just fine. I feel I’ve made a friend for life even though I will probably not need services there again. You won’t regret using her services. Dei’Ja was amazing. ?

Ivan (my cat) loves spending time with Dei’Ja. He perks up when I park outside her house and treats it like his second home. Dei’Ja is a great communicator and very considerate.

Schedule
I work remotely, which allows me to be fully present and flexible with pet care throughout the day. Because I am not tied to a strict office schedule, I can easily plan my day around each pet’s needs. Whether that means morning feedings, midday playtime or check ins, medication times, or evening cuddles, I am able to provide consistent attention and care rather than rushed visits!
