About: Hi, I’m Alex, and I’m a dedicated pet lover based in Charleston, SC. As a proud dog parent, I know how important it is to find reliable, loving care for your furry family members. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, or overnight care, I’ll treat your pet like my own—providing plenty of attention, belly rubs, and fun! With a strong focus on safety and comfort, I aim to make every pet feel at home while giving you peace of mind. I’d love to meet your pup and help with your pet care needs! I currently work remote with a flexible work schedule. I do have some zoom meetings at varying times throughout the day but are easily worked around to care for your pet. If watching a pet at your house I will abide by any rules you may have. If your pet comes to stay with me then they have freedom to roam the house and am willing to bring toys and treats if needed!
About: For the vast majority of my life, I have been working with animals, starting out volunteering at a dog shelter before I was of age to be employed while I was in highschool. Since then, I've worked with animals every chance the opportunity arises, making use of my affinity with my favorite clients: dogs. This lead me to work for a mobile veterinary clinic, assessing and assisting in providing medical services for dogs as well as other various pets, and was followed by employment taking care of a variety of animals once again at U.S.C. But, finally I decided to fully commit myself to our best friends, dogs, by becoming a Wag walker. In my time at Wag, a service I still offer, I've had the opportunity to work with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds from selectively bred puppies to rescues who need a warmer touch for their special needs. It is one of my greatest joys in life to get to meet and befriend these beautiful creatures, and as such, I am devoted to offering the highest quality service of which I am capable, smiling all the while. To me, there could be nothing more fulfilling. I have a near completely open schedule most days and love spending my days caring for and providing love and attention for all kinds of furry friends While I'm currently unable to keep animals in my own home for the most part, I love being able to adapt to each pets independent needs and give both your and your pets the best possible experience!
“My dog, Sky, and I are very lucky to have Allison as a dog walker! She is amazing with Sky. When I am away at work, Sky’s favorite part of the day is spending quality walk times with her. Allison is very observant and caring. She sends me a bunch of pictures of their walks together, which makes me feel better when I’m at work, knowing that Sky is having a great day.”

“Payton is my go-to walker when we need someone for our dog! She is always on time, quick to respond, and goes the extra mile to write a note and take cute pictures. We really appreciate it!!”

About: I’ve had a family dog since I was in high school and have always been a dog person. I currently have a 4-year old pitbull mix. I’m looking to earn some extra money to pay off some medical bills. Can’t wait to meet your pup! I work full-time remote, so I can dog/house sit when needed. I also can pop in to let your dog out or take them on a walk before, during lunch, or after work in the evenings. I’m open to taking your dog to nearby parks and trails if you’re comfortable with that. I live in Park Circle and do many walks around the neighborhood here and in Riverfront Park. If you’re comfortable with my other dog around, great — If not, no worries!

“Stephanie walks my dogs multiple times each week and is great!! She’s flexible with times and communicates well. She also follows all of my requests and my dogs love her. I’ll definitely continue to have her walk my dogs!!!”

“Ella did a great job walking both our dogs while we were away for vacation. We received pictures daily that assured us our pups were not just being walked but also loved on.”

“Jennifer was excellent! She came through when I needed help with my dog on very short notice. She arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and stayed a little over to finish my dog's walk. She had read my pup's profile ahead of time and was fully prepared to handle her special needs, which I appreciated. My Remi returned from her walk happy and tired, which is exactly what she (and I) needed. I won't hesitate to use Jennifer again.”

About: I’ve had plenty of animals throughout my life and have watched all my friends dogs and cats! I love them all and love to walk and play! I currently work 1 time a week in a hospital as a nurses assistant seven am to seven pm but it is only one time a week I have a big backyard and a big neighborhood to walk all dogs in. My house is a good size for any dog or cat to hang out in
About: My family has had cats, dogs, rabbits, and horses for almost my entire life. I have grown up around pets and have tremendous love for all of them. I have taken my Australian Shepherd to puppy school and learned from a professional how to handle him, and we have owned various breeds of dogs and cats. My mom and I captured, neutered, and re-homed feral cats that had wandered into our old property. Now, I own one of those (not-so-feral-anymore) cats, Jade, and a foster fail, Gia, along with my dog Ozzie. I have been riding and showing horses since I was 9 years old and have a lot of experience in taking care of large animals. I was a D1 equestrian athlete at UGA, and I'm now a veterinary assistant for Banfield! I have some extra days off and I would love to spend that time getting to meet and take care of your furbabies! I am a full-time veterinary assistant at Banfield, so my schedule is very irregular. I get my schedule a month in advance, but it will not always be the same. I will make sure that my availability is reflected in Rover as far out as possible so that I can take care of you and your pet! My dog and cats roam my apartment freely throughout the day, and they all sleep with me on the bed at night. We play with my Australian Shepherds 4-5 times a day, with his favorite game, frisbee! In a clients home, I am open to caring for their pet anyway they would like, whether they need them to be in a crate, go for a walk, or to play ball!
About: I have a husky who is my child. I love to play with him in the yard and take him to the dog park. I have always gotten along great with animals. They have always been first in my life because they put such a big smile on my face. I have always enjoyed pet sitting because I know how much they miss their owners. I just hope I can be the next best thing and make their stay-cation as stressful and as fun as possible. When the owner leaves dogs don't know if you are coming back or not . I think pet-sitting is such a wonderful idea for them to have. I am currently not working have a lot of free time on my plate so I am very flexible with scheduling. I will work with what’s best for the client. I do have a husky who is very friendly but I would prefer to do drop by visits . I am very flexible to the situation.
“Rebecca (and Simon) did a wonderful job with Boomer. This was a great experience for me and my wife. Highly recommend Rebecca as your next dog walker or pet caregiver. Will definitely use again when circumstances require. Thank you Rebecca!”

“Victoria was wonderful! She took my dog on a nice walk, gave him a treat, and his meds while I was out of town. I also received a super cute picture of him! He seemed really happy and that’s what I care about. I would definitely book her again.”
“Madelyn was great! She took great care of Bodi and sent me Rover cards with pictures everyday. She was very quick to respond to my texts and I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hands.”

Stephanie did a great job taking care of my little girl! She’s very respectful and keeps constant communication with how her daily walks are going! I was away for a week and she made sure my little girl had everything she needed while I was away. Will definitely recommend Stephanie!

Vanessa does a wonderful job and takes great care with my Great Pyrenees. (Cooper). She is a life saver in that while I am at work she comes by and spends time walking him during the middle of the day. She provides pictures, updates, and looking at them Cooper looks very happy. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
