“Carolynn was great with Goldie! I have trouble finding a walker that can handle both her strength and energy. Carolynn helped me out with feeding her as well! I will be using Carolynn again in the future!”
“Madelyn was great! She took great care of Bodi and sent me Rover cards with pictures everyday. She was very quick to respond to my texts and I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hands.”
“Ella was amazing and arrived right on time to let my dog out to potty and play! She took photos and sent a message letting me know how remi was, etc. Would definitely recommend Ella and will absolutely be re-booking again in the future!”

“Katherine was great with our boys! She is very quick to reply to messages and sends updates after all the walks. Very friendly. We are so grateful to have found her.”

About: I I have grown up around animals, with my family having 5 dog, 2 cats, and hamsters at one point in time! I am open to caring for pets of all kinds. I have loved all of my furry critters, and enjoy meeting and caring for all of my friends pets as well. I graduated from Clemson University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. I continued my education with a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences from MUSC. I have a very diverse experience with different breeds of both dogs and cats, and spent many years from high school to now pet sitting. I have a wide knowledge of different types of animals and their behavior from my diverse education. I am currently looking for work between graduating MUSC and starting my new job! Right now I have a wide range of available hours, and would love to work out something that fits in your schedule. I currently have my own space, with the availability to walk your dogs around my complex, or I can come to you if that works better. I am able to take the animals to the park, with a big enough car to transport them.
About: I grew up with labs, so I have been a dog lover all my life. When I was in middle school I would look after my neighbors pets. As I got older, most of my work in the summer was taking care of people's pets and houses when they went on vacation. I enjoy walking and like an excuse to be outside. I've always loved working with animals and would give them all the love and care I would give my own dog. I use to want to be a veterinarian, but the schooling would have been way too difficult, so I guess Rover is a good compromise (i hope you laughed). If not, animals are easier than people. I am responsible, trustworthy, and would provide diligent care to your pets.
About: I’ve taken care of many kinds of dogs ever since I was 14. My neighbors, friends, and roommates have relied on me to take them on walks, feed them, and play with them. At my previous job I trained border collies and as well as some dogs at home. I’m currently full time, but I have a set morning and night schedule that I can easily work around to be able to care for your pets! I am also free to stay overnight as well. While I cannot offer to care for your pets in my home, I can easily care for them at your home by allowing them to see that I am a safe and friendly person. Each pet is differently and so I like to let them decide if they trust me and to read and determine what their behavior means. You know your pets best and I will make sure to adapt to the training you have set in place!

“Prompt, professional, affable, and really good with dogs! She met with us the day before the first appointment to meet our shy puppy and they got along great. Would not hesitant to work with her again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
