Hi! I’m Payton! I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and currently have two cats of my own. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and I have experience with dogs, cats, and other pets with all kinds of personalities and routines. I’m also a Certified Flight Instructor and am continuing to work toward additional flight instructor ratings. I recently accepted a position as a Line Service Technician at Summerville Airport, where I’ll be working Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM. With my new work schedule, my weekday availability is more limited than it has been, but I’ll still be helping out with pet care whenever I can! I’ll continue offering house sitting and will have availability for evenings and weekends depending on my schedule. I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. I’m responsible, attentive, communicative, and always happy to send photos and updates while you’re away. 🐾

I always tailor my care to each pet’s specific routine and needs. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, clean litter boxes or pick up after dogs, and give plenty of attention, playtime, or exercise depending on the pet. I pay close attention to behavior and body language to make sure your pet is comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I’m especially patient with shy or anxious pets and give them time to warm up at their own pace. I also keep your home clean and respected while you’re gone and provide regular updates, including photos, so you always know how your pet is doing. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment, keeping routines consistent and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for.

Schedule
With my new (typical) Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM job at Summerville Airport, I plan my pet sitting around my work schedule. I’m still available for house sitting, especially when the pet’s routine works with my daytime work hours, as well as evenings and weekends when I’m off. Outside of work, I’m a Certified Flight Instructor working toward additional ratings, but I have flexibility in how I schedule my time. I’m happy to work around each pet’s routine and will only accept bookings that I know I can give the time and attention they need.

- Before caring for your pet, I like to know about their normal routine, personality, and anything that will help me make them feel comfortable while you’re away. This includes feeding times and amounts, medications, exercise needs, favorite activities or toys, and how they normally act around people and other animals. I also like to know about any fears, anxiety, behavioral quirks, allergies, medical concerns, or things they should avoid. For dogs, I’d like to know their walking routine and leash habits, and for cats, their litter box routine and whether they prefer attention or space. Most importantly, I want to know what makes your pet your pet; their likes, dislikes, routines, and anything else you think would help me care for them the way you would.
