“Nicholas is great !!! My dog is not too comfortable with other people walking him, but Nicholas is so patient with him. Seeing how excited my boy gets when it's time to go with Nicholas is everything a dog mom wants !”

“Lisha has watched Millie in my home multiple times and also came over yesterday to take her for a midday walk while I was at work! She continues to be extremely communicative, reliable, and loves my dog! The feeling is mutual:)”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my whole life and finally adopted my first two years ago! Well before my partner and I adopted our rescue, I was helping out family and friends as a sitter and walker. Whenever I was at a house with a dog, I always wound up being the designated fetch partner. I’m a dedicated caretaker who loves taking my pup around the block, to the park and on adventures. I raised and trained my dog from a puppy and have experience watching dogs ages 1-18! As a dog parent myself, I know how important communication, transparency and, of course, getting pictures of your pup is when you’re away from them. I’m excited to meet, walk and play with more dogs around the district! I work five days a week (M-F) from home, but my schedule is flexible and allows for me to take breaks as needed to tend to my own dog and pop out to care for others whenever necessary. Afternoons are ideal, but I can be available in evenings, mornings and overnight with advanced notice. My dog roams free at home, but she started out crate trained and graduated from there. I’m comfortable caring for a dog/dogs who roam free or are crated and have no issue retrieving them from there and returning them to their space as needed.
“We love booking with Alex! Our girls love her walks and she gives us great piece of mind that the girls are in great hands when we’re out. 11/10 already booked again”

“Gordon is fantastic. Arrives exactly right on time, brought treats for our pup (after asking), and walks in literally rain or shine - through torrential downpour for us. We’ve rebooked him many times!”

“Selamawit has been both flexible with our schedule and truly loving of our dog. The pictures she sends on walks makes my day better. She provides excellent service and I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I've had 4 of my own dogs and have experience with new adoptees, terminally ill dogs, seniors, breeds of all energies, and I am attuned to their needs. I've fostered many dogs through various rescues and I'm trusted by friends and neighbors to dog sit and walk. I love dogs and nerd out about all kinds, but happy dogs are my favorite dogs. I'm currently unemployed, so my schedule is very flexible and open. I have one low-medium energy dog of my own who's happy to chill at home or can come along. I'm happy to take cues from you, do you like your dog to sit at every street crossing? Cool, we can do that. Are you working on pulling less? I've helped friends lessen their dogs pulling and I'm happy to work on that or take the walking routes you suggest. I'm happy to give any treats or meds you have prepared and I can adapt to your dog's style and needs.
About: I have extensive, hands-on experience in animal care, both from lifelong pet ownership and working in a clinical veterinary hospital environment. I am fully comfortable and experienced in administering oral medications, managing senior pet needs, and recognizing subtle signs of stress or illness. I will provide your pet with a safe and loving environment tailored entirely to their specific routine. My current schedule allows me to offer ample daytime availability for walks, drop-ins, and companion care, so I can ensure your pet never misses a beat while you are away. Safety is always my absolute highest priority. Thanks to my professional training in veterinary settings, I am hyper-vigilant about environment safety, proper leashing, and safe animal socialization.

About: My family has had both dogs and cats for my entire life. I grew up taking care of animals, but in more recent years I’ve dedicated my time to animal care. I’ve always had a deep compassion for animals and I love spending time with them. I go on a lot of long walks in my spare time- as I love to be out doors, so there will be not shortage of walks around here. I’ve been around all different kinds of dogs. I know how to handle both anxious and reactive dogs- I’m comfortable with any breed or size. I do have an affinity for cats. My family always had cats, and since I’ve lived on my own I’ve always had two of my own. Because of this, I have a lot of knowledge and patience when it comes to cats! I currently only work part time. I’m in the hospitality industry and I work nights, so if I am unavailable it is typically from the hours of 6pm-11pm. If you’re interested in overnight stays, I can normally adjust my hospitality schedule a little bit depending on your comfortability. Feel free to reach out and ask, as I do love a sleepover and am willing to make it work! My two favorite hobbies and reading and being outside. I’m happy to go on long walks with your dog. I’m also happy to spend time inside making sure your animals have company and companionship. I don’t have an aversion to litter boxes so I’m happy to scoop the cat litter once a day. I scoop my own cats litter every single day so it’s nothing new to me. Im happy to help get energy out, and also spend time relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. I always want to prioritize trust and patience when it comes to your furry companions!

About: At just 23 years old, I already have 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I treat every dog like family, prioritize safety and attention, and make sure owners feel completely comfortable and updated while they’re away. Since I currently have a very open and flexible schedule, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day instead of only checking in between work hours. This allows me to be fully present for walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and making sure every pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never rushed. Whether I’m caring for my two dogs in my own home or in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship so they feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away.
“Pauline walked/fed our senior dog during the holidays and was so great! She made our dog feel comfortable, was super communicative and sent lots of pictures, and put our minds at ease while we were on vacation during the colder days of the year. Will definitely book with Pauline again in the future - thank you!”

“Ethan communicated often and well. He showed up when he said he would. He gave Goober a good hour long walk. He followed my instructions and took my water bottle and made sure goober had water to drink. I highly recommend Ethan.”

“Simply the best! Reliable and excellent with my furry child. He thinks she is awesome and waits by the door for her arrival. And when their walk is over, he follows her to the door! I think he would go home with her if she’d take him. LOL LOL LOL”

About: In addition to growing up with dogs and cats, I worked part-time for 4 years at a dog daycare. I'm familiar with caring for dogs with special needs and following specialized care. I also have experience in puppy potty training, dog grooming, and basic training. I love dogs and cats alike :) I work from home full-time and have an adorable 16lb cat named Lily. She is a phenomenal assistant, but could work on her people skills. She much prefers other 4-legged friends to stranger humans in her space. I have lots of flexibility for walks and have a small but mity fenced-in backyard. Lily is the princess of my house, but she is always welcoming to other animals. I often watch my family's dogs and treat everyone as family. I have room to board or adapt to any animal's specific needs.
“Eric is absolutely amazing. My dog is a rescue, and he’s very strong, but Eric is patient, loving, and understanding with him. We truly could not have asked for a better dog walker, and we’re lucky to have Eric.”

“Matt is super responsive and really flexible with scheduling. He shows up on time and delivers on exactly what he commits to. He was also super patient when we had an issue with our smart lock, which I really appreciated! Would highly recommend.”

About: I'm a full-time professional with fairly flexible work hours. I have two dogs, a happy, healthy 12 yr old Plott-hound mix, Ollie, and a happy, energetic and loving 2 yr old husky-shepherd mix, Bella., I've watched and cared for dozens of other dogs (friends, family, etc.) over the last 15 years and am generally known as a bit of a 'dog whisperer'. I absolutely love dogs and look forward to taking exceptional care of your pet when you need to leave them in somebody else's care. Ollie, Bella, and I walk for ~4 miles every day around the neighborhood, go to dog friendly parks/fields in my neighborhood, and walks in the woods where they can run off leash. As highlighted in the pictures, Ollie and Bella readily get along with a wide variety of dogs as a walking buddy, a sleeping buddy, or a running-around-a-field buddy. If you leave your dog with us, your dog will have new canine friends, get lots of fun neighborhood walks, and have friends to cuddle up with on the couch / in their dog bed after a long-day of walking, eating, and sleeping :). I typically do two long walks each day (one between ~7-9 AM, the other sometime between 5-7 PM). Will also do a short mid-day walk and/or a short pre-bedtime walk as needed! While Ollie and Bella were crate trained as puppies, at this point they roams freely throughout the house. That said, I'm happy to host crate-trained dogs, and more than comfortable allowing your (trained!) dog to roam free throughout my home much like my pups.
Catholic University-Brookland dog parents share their Rover experiences
Havi has been a god send! Although she’s only been walking Frankie for two weeks, he has totally fallen for her. He watches the door each morning and when the door opens, he flies to meet her for his walk. The sight of his little wagging butt is so adorable. Havi is definitely a winner!

Kyle was fantastic! We did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and Macho instantly took to him, which gave me a lot of confidence. Kyle is friendly, professional, and communicative, keeping me updated and making the whole experience stress-free. Most importantly, Macho absolutely loves his walks with Kyle and is always excited to see him. I highly recommend Kyle and would book with him again without hesitation. Five stars!

I am so grateful for Thomas the incredible care he takes of my 3.5yo Great Dane! Thomas is a consummate professional, from diligence with all my requests to even thinking proactively about the weather. He is truly a wizard at capturing action shots, too! His detailed descriptions of the walk and fun pictures are such a ray of sunshine to receive in the middle of my work day. My Dane has some dog reactivity and I am grateful for Thomas’s ability to work around his needs. Thomas has been walking him for two weeks now and I will happily keep booking him for as long as I can.

Bruno and Victoria have walked and dog sat for my dog on multiple occasions and have also done some cat check ins. It is apparent that they are animal lovers and treat others' pets as their own. My dog is always ecstatic to run into them in the neighborhood so I know they take great care of her and give her lots of love while I am away. They have always been very communicative and reliable and are willing to work with my dog as she has some reactive behaviors on leash. I would definitely recommend booking Bruno to care for your pets!
