“Lia was highly responsive, helped us out in a bind on short notice, was incredibly accommodating, sent several helpful updates, sent a lot of cute and reassuring photos and gave me a sense of ease immediately. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“Christian was so good with my pup. He took to her immediately and based on the photos and videos he enjoyed his time with her. Christian was very responsive especially with me being a bit nervous about about my lil guy being cared for by someone new.”

“Abigail took great care of our aging fur baby. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos. We definitely plan to reach out to her for future dogsitting!”

“I was nervous about leaving Chilson since we only adopted him 3 months ago and he’s only just begun to feel at home with us. Haydenn had his heart when they first met and Chilson warmed right up! Was happy and content when I picked him up and I hope to ask Haydenn to watch him again next time we’re in DC.”

“Stephanie and Luis are the absolute best! They provided fantastic care for Toto. The communication was outstanding and frequent. The reassuring updates made my time away completely stress-free. Toto came home incredibly happy and well-cared for. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Nicole is such a sweet person! Her love for animals by the way she took care of my pooch. She kept me updated and sent tons of really nice pictures. I most definitely will be using her services again!”

“Rodrigo was a lifesaver on multiple occasions in just a few short days - accepting a frantic last minute booking I had when some plans fell through and being very patient and helpful dealing with unexpected travel delays on my return. Plus I could tell Watson had a great time and got along super well with the lovely Luna. I have actually already booked again as I knew Watson is in good hands. Thanks Rodrigo!!”

“Megan was an incredible sitter, I truly only have positive things to say about my experience. She was genuinely eager to spend time with my dog and take care of her. That alone told me everything I needed to know. She was extremely thorough with communication, planning, and following care instructions. Megan sent me regular updates with photos/videos and I felt so happy to know my dog was also happy. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Caitlin was great! We scheduled a meet and greet before our pup’s stay and she was very friendly & accommodating to our schedule. During our dogs stay, she sent a daily update with a few photos & how he was doing. Great experience, 10/10 would rover with Caitlin again.”

“Aaron and Paweena are life savers! We have recently relocated to DC and we are glad to find a sitter to take exceptional care of our 14 year old red heeler when he have to travel. They are communicative and provide consistent updates on his health and feeding patterns. Aaron and Paweena will continue to be our first choice for care.”

“Chloe and her family were great dog sitters, making my dog feel right at home. Even at pick up I could tell how happy he was to see me but how much he enjoyed his time.”

About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor, in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. Peaches gets along with most dogs, but she can get a little overwhelmed with large, strong, high energy puppies. If you have an med/large dog that want to wrestle rough and doesn’t know it’s own strength, Peaches may not want it to stay over. Every dog is different so we will always have a meet and greet. I do have a doggy door that Peaches can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.
“Oscar always lives his best life with Malvi and Andrej. They always make him feel like part of the family. We always know he’s in great hands with them and never have to worry while we’re away.”

“Austin and Majid took great care of our dog, Maisie over the holiday. They were amazing at keeping us in the loop, and Maisie came home happy and healthy.”

“Maryjo and Jon were such caring and attentive dog sitters for our Carlton. They have tons of experience with dogs, and it shows! Thanks for loving our boy for a weekend!”

“Amani took great care of my fat boy Chase. I highly recommend her services to anyone searching for a sitter. Will definitely use Amani's services again in the near future. Much appreciated from Chase and I.”

“Our experience with Chad was wonderful. This was our puppy’s first ever boarding experience…I as a pet owner was concerned cause she does get separation anxiety. Chad handled it so well. We got regular picture/videos and I knew that she was in an environment where she was being properly cared for. We would definitely return.”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.

Terrence was phenomenal. Took my booking last minute and was very professional. He kept me up to date everyday and had no problem with my staffs Koda. Size doesn’t matter to him small dogs, big dogs and anything in between. I will be using his services in the future. My biggest take away was peace of mind. Not once was I worried if everything was ok. Also his response time is impeccable. Literally look no further, this is your dog sitter right here.

Great experience with Jason! He was very communicative throughout, regularly sending photos and updates, which I really appreciated. He was also very flexible and kindly accepted my request at the last minute. Everything went smoothly, and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in his care. I would definitely recommend him and book with him again!

This was Missy's second time staying here and it was great again, we've already booked for a third stay! I got photos each day and they asked questions when they had concerns about a paw issue that Missy has as a result of a medication she is on. I'm really grateful they were so observant. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Madeleine took very good care of my dog Mino during a 6-day stay. She provided daily activities including walks, hikes, and fetch games (which my dog really loves). When I picked him up he was happy and his coat was clean and soft from a bath she had given him. I would definitely use her services again!

We cannot say enough good things about Katherin!! She truly goes above and beyond to care for Wrigley and gives such great updates on what they did every day and how she is. When Wrigley was having stomach issues she quickly updated us and added the pumpkin we suggested to her food so that we didn’t need to worry a bit about our girl! Wrigley was so excited to stay with Katherin again and there is no one better to watch our girl for long periods of time!

Mary was wonderful looking after my anxious 1.5 year old dog Lentil!! As a large puppy with nervous energy, Lentil can be a handful and Mary was up to the challenge. She was very accommodating, responsible, and easy to communicate with. I felt completely at ease leaving Lentil in her care. I received regular photos and updates while I was away and Lentil looked happy and well taken care of. I recommend Mary wholeheartedly and hope she will look after Lentil again!

Megan and Madeline and their good boy Bennie were amazing. My dog, Eddie, had a wonderful time. He has a new BFF in Bennie. I will have to book them again just so the boys can get together. The updates and check-ins were great. Made my time away so much better knowing Eddie was safe and well cared for. Thanks again M & M!
