About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor, in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. Peaches gets along with most dogs, but she can get a little overwhelmed with large, strong, high energy puppies. If you have an med/large dog that want to wrestle rough and doesn’t know it’s own strength, Peaches may not want it to stay over. Every dog is different so we will always have a meet and greet. I do have a doggy door that Peaches can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.
“We had such a great experience leaving our pup with Malvi and Andrej and their sweet dog Max for a long weekend. We were nervous as it was our first time boarding Benny, but our anxiety quickly dissipated as we got regular updates and photos of him getting lots of attention, playtime, and individualized care. Benny is oftentimes timid, but it was clear that he quickly settled in and was having a blast. I’m so grateful. We can’t recommend Malvi and Andrej enough and look forward to next time.”

“Austin and Majid took great care of our pup while we were away for a week. Our dog is a rescue with a history of some behavioral issues, and what drew us to them is that they were very comfortable and confident in taking care of pups with all kinds of temperaments. We appreciated the updates and felt great knowing she was safe and well-cared for.”

“Maryjo and Jon were such caring and attentive dog sitters for our Carlton. They have tons of experience with dogs, and it shows! Thanks for loving our boy for a weekend!”

“Winnie had such a great week with Amani! Amani was super communicative and sent frequent photo updates. Amani took great care of Winnie and we plan to use her again. Highly recommend!”

“Megan was an incredible sitter, I truly only have positive things to say about my experience. She was genuinely eager to spend time with my dog and take care of her. That alone told me everything I needed to know. She was extremely thorough with communication, planning, and following care instructions. Megan sent me regular updates with photos/videos and I felt so happy to know my dog was also happy. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Chad is my go-to dog sitter for a reason. He's watched my dog many times, and every single experience has been perfect. He is 100% reliable, and a great communicator. I can travel without a single worry, knowing my fur-baby is in the best hands. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Chloe came back in such great spirits and as if we were never gone! Jena took great care of her and was super attentive to my older dogs little quirks! Would definitely reach out again if needed!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.

“I appreciate Delina’s quick response to my booking request for a daily drop off for our 5 cats. I was a first-time Rover user, and she was super helpful in briefing me on the entire process. She sent me pictures and videos showing the cats in action during her visits. She loves cats, and she has good instincts that helped her win over these skittish felines quickly. I highly recommend her, and look forward to engaging her services again in the future.”

“Thomas is absolutely exceptional!! His report cards are beyond detailed and we can picture his entire time with our cat Tobin during each visit. He gave us SUCH peace of mind and soo many pictures while we were traveling for 2 weeks. He’s super communicative and is so attentive and caring and it’s so clear that our boy warmed right up to him!! THANK YOU THOMAS!!!”

“Lilla did an amazing job taking care of my cats. she sent lots of photos and detailed visit summaries, and even replaced my feeder ball that had broken while I was out of town. I definitely recommend her!”

“Gabby did a wonderful job taking care of my cat while I was away for my wedding! She sent thorough updates and was extremely patient with Lucy, since she is such a shy cat who needed a minute to warm up. I could not recommend her more. She was prompt, communicative, and over the top in her efforts to really play with Lucy and get some energy out during her visits.”

“Matt did a wonderful job caring for Nimbus and Yoda. Followed instructions and sent cute pictures to assure us they were doing well. They did not seem stressed out when we returned as they have sometimes.”

About: Hi there! I'm a dog mom of an energetic boxer, Gus. Gus is my first dog, but from a young age, I always walked dogs in the neighborhood. As an adult, I had over 4 years of experience with doggy roommates. I have experiences with many different personalities and sizes so I'm very comfortable with them. Gus is an excellent walking buddy who is good on the leash and so love to play with a grieve l friend for a visit. I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00, so I'm around most of the time to monitor play and keep the pets company. If it helps lighten the load when packing, I havethe following items already: Extra dog beds Dog bowls including a slow feeder Feel free to pack these items if course if they will make your pup happier to have their own. A few things I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:00. So I'm around the Pets most of the day. I also have a fenced in backyard for the them to run and and get some energy out. I will walk them in the neighborhood and will avoid busy streets. I also don't introduce them to other dogs while walking them to avoid any accidental negative greetings in my care.
“Josefa was wonderful with our dog Toby (mini schnauzer, 8 yrs old, 30 lbs) when she looked after him for the day. She was so warm, welcoming, communicative, and made sure that Toby was comfortable while in her care. Toby was super relaxed when we picked him up, which is a great sign. We're so glad to have found Josefa and will absolutely reach out again for doggy day care. Highly recommended! :)”

“Aaron & Paweena were great and accommodated me so last minute! My sweet boy can be a bit nervous at first when it comes to settling in but he had such a great day and was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day! I came back to him chewing on a treat they gave him & he barely acknowledged me picking him up lol this won’t be my last time booking!”

“Emily is such a great sitter she is accomidating and understadning. Winston loves going there and once he realizes where he is doing he tries pulling me to her building. Safe to say he likes his day care time with Emily”

“Chris was great! Very responsive and helpful. It was our first time using Rover, so we were nervous but Chris alleviated all fears. Highly recommend. Will use again.”

“Rodrigo and Luna were wonderful partners for my dog Cooper when we needed help with day care! We really appreciated Rodrigo’s flexibility in scheduling and look forward to sending Cooper to visit again soon.”

About: I have been helping my mom with rover since she started two years ago and I want to do this on my own. My mom has a five star rating and so once I earn your trust and get to care and love your fur babv. I’m currently in high’s school finishing up to start on my adult life and work in the big world and hoping I can start on that with rover. I have a fenced back and front yard. Safety is my number one priority. I do what’s best for the owner and pet. So if you prefer them to be walked around the block, go to the dog park or just burn energy in the yard i will do what’s best for you and your fur baby
“Criza is amazing! Very attentive and kind, my pup seems to always have a great time with her. She’s really responsive to requests, and always seems to be on time (even when I’m not haha). 12/10 she’s great!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have experience caring for birds, fish, dogs, and cats. My family has primarily had Shih Tzus and Boxers, and I currently have an 11 year old Shih Tzu. Caring for her has given me a strong understanding of the patience, comfort, and slower pace that senior pets may need. I also help care for my neighbor’s cats when she works overnight shifts. I’m comfortable following different routines and making sure each pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for. I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to provide regular attention, companionship, potty breaks, meals, and time outside throughout the day. Since I’m home most of the time, pets are not left alone for long periods and can settle into a comfortable routine. I live in a condo with a private fenced yard, which gives dogs a safe place to spend time outside. My home is calm and comfortable, and I currently have one senior Shih Tzu who is quiet and spends much of the day resting. I follow each pet’s feeding, medication, bathroom, and care instructions closely. I also take time to learn their personality, routine, and comfort level so they can feel secure while in my care.
“Max took such good care of our (not so easy!) girl Hoagie! He’s super responsive and easy to coordinate with, and clearly very good with dogs. Hoagie seemed to love him, and came back to us tired and happy, and he gave us good insights into her that we hadn’t even known yet ourselves! Thank you, Max!! Will definitely be sending Hoagie back!”

“I am truly impressed with Brittany! She communicates, flexible and made us feel secure using Rover for the first time. We have used her services 2xs so far and have several bookings scheduled already. Thank you Brittany for being great!”

“Kyle was fantastic! We did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and Macho instantly took to him, which gave me a lot of confidence. Kyle is friendly, professional, and communicative, keeping me updated and making the whole experience stress-free. Most importantly, Macho absolutely loves his walks with Kyle and is always excited to see him. I highly recommend Kyle and would book with him again without hesitation. Five stars!”

About: I cared for a dog for three years. Also, I run at least six miles each morning, and so I have the physical stamina to keep up with any dog. I’m available at almost all times throughout the day to give your pet the care and the walk they need. Even if it’s early in the morning. I’m an attorney who has cared for a dog before. This was from 2018 until 2022. I’m compassionate, fit, healthy, and ready to work with your dog.
“Matthew has walked Millie and my neighbor's dog a few times for me. Most times, my requests have been on short notice, and Matthew is always quick to respond. Millie is a "stroll and sniff" kind of walker, but she always seems to enjoy her walks with Matthew and comes back happy. (Millie actually smiles when she's happy.) I would absolutely recommend Matthew to anyone who is looking for floof-care and will continue to use him.”

“We were devastated when our Rover Walker relocated to the west coast; but Rover has provided a plethora of phenomenal Walkers. Becca is pitching in during vacation. She’s so kind and responsible. She shows Frankie such care and gentleness. In fact she is so good with him that I want her to continue beyond vacation. She will be walking him two days a week providing me with a much needed morning rest. Frankie has taken to her like a stamp to a letter.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩”

“I am so grateful for Thomas the incredible care he takes of my 3.5yo Great Dane! Thomas is a consummate professional, from diligence with all my requests to even thinking proactively about the weather. He is truly a wizard at capturing action shots, too! His detailed descriptions of the walk and fun pictures are such a ray of sunshine to receive in the middle of my work day. My Dane has some dog reactivity and I am grateful for Thomas’s ability to work around his needs. Thomas has been walking him for two weeks now and I will happily keep booking him for as long as I can.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for pets for family and friends. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, and keeping pets company while their owners are away. I’m very active, so I’m especially happy to give energetic dogs the exercise and attention they need! I’m patient, attentive, and will always follow your pet’s normal routine and your specific care instructions. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos along the way. As a graduate student, my schedule gives me flexibility throughout the week for pet care. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits around my class schedule, as well as house sitting during the week and on weekends. I keep my Rover availability updated so pet parents can easily see when I’m available! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my priorities. When caring for pets in their own home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and any household preferences. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention while also respecting their space and usual routine. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet and home are being well cared for while you’re away.

About: I have experience taking care of dogs and cats of all behavioral backgrounds, particularly highly anxious rescue dogs who have been through trauma as puppies from humans, shelters and natural disasters. As a freelance artist, my unique schedule allows me to dedicate time to pet care that a typical 9-5 does not. I have the ability to spend quality time with your pet and flexibility to adapt to your pet's schedule as much as possible. I maintain a calm and caring environment for the pets I care for. I know it can be hard for pets when their owners leave, so I prioritize making their environment feel as normal as it does when their owners are home.
