Hi there! I'm Sharon and I grew up caring for our dogs and their newborn pups (7-9 at a time) in my family home. In my 20s and 30s, I have always been the go-to person for my friend's pets in DC (mostly rescues), and even flying across time zones on the west coast to be the trusted caretaker for their pets when they are away from home for several days. I lead with empathy and understanding and would love to help out and care for your animals when you need a nurturing hand.

Sharon took great care of Jersey. She asked a lot of questions when we dropped her off that set us at ease that Jers would be in and good hands, and she was! Sharon sent the perfect amount of updates and pics. We would definitely recommend Sharon and would use her again.

Sharon is amazing with our pup! She accommodated a weird one day schedule and fulfilled everything that was asked of her! Our pup left the day with her with a huge smile and a lot of memories! We got multiple updates and pictures throughout the day and she was very quick to reply to any questions.
Always a positive experience with Sharon. She takes great care of Mischa who is very shy but will always come out to say hi to Sharon. I’ve used Sharon a few times and can highly recommend her for cat sitting!

Schedule
I am available to work around your pet's schedule, as I work remotely during the day and also lead an active lifestyle (lots of walking, running, and sports). I can adjust to the individual animal's activity and energy levels so they can feel the most comfortable while you are away.

I live in a dog-friendly ~800 sq ft apartment in NoMa (pictured in gallery), and have space for crates if one needed to be brought over. Please make sure your pet is comfortable getting on/off elevators for walks and time outside! Please let me know what makes your pet the happiest and helps with any anxieties and I am happy to accommodate.
A typical day
I have been in the DC fitness industry for almost a decade and am very active, having ran 3 ultra-marathon relays and actively boxing. You do not need to worry about whether your pet's activity levels will be a match. I can adjust to all. At the same time, I am a homebody at heart and enjoy cozying up next to a furry friend for quiet nights in.
