About: I have been a dog owner my entire life. Growing up I had the main responsibilities of walking our dogs (shih tzu and Labrador) as well as feeding them. I’ve loved dogs my entire life and after college finally got my first dog! As a dog parent I understand what makes a great sitter: reliable, great communication, and a genuine love for dogs. I am excited to meet your dog and take care of him/her just like I would my own dog! Right now my weekends are completely free and my weeks vary from work from home to in the office depending on the day! I can be flexible when needed though! I have a great neighborhood to walk dogs in plus a nearby dog park. I will abide by your rules to make sure your dog feels at ease the entire time.

About: I’ve been working closely with dogs since I was four years old. We moved around a lot growing up and I would always helped her readjust to feel safe in new areas. I would get to know neighbors’ and friends’ pets, and with this early life experience, I’m a natural at getting pets to feel comfortable with me. I have experience working with senior dogs and dogs in recovery from injury, as well as dogs who have been rescued or traumatized by scary situations. I am currently in school, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I typically have 1-2 classes per weekday, either in the morning or at night, leaving the majority of my schedule open for pet care. I always make sure pets’ emotional needs are taken care of. For example, I pay very close attention to body language. At home, if my dog is ever purposefully ignoring me, I check with her to see if something is wrong.

About: When I was 16 I was given the choice between getting a dog or a car… and chose a dog. I always have had a love for dogs, whether it’s having my own or being able to be around others. Growing up I had an English Bulldog that I adored. After I moved to DC, my roommate and I fostered a dog from the Humane Rescue Alliance and she was recently adopted! We had her for 4-5 months, and she was an absolute joy to have. She was found on the streets of DC, so I had to work with her on some things like walking on a leash and getting her basic commands down. Now that we don’t have her anymore, I would love to take care of others dogs! I work a sales job, so my weeks are pretty flexible. I have fully remote Mondays and Fridays so those are usually the best days for me to help out during the week, as well as the weekends. I live in a townhouse very close to meridian hill park and would love to take a dog on walks/to the park to play or just hangout!
