About: I've been a dog person my whole life. Our family has shared our home with everything from standard poodles to an American Eskimo, so I've handled big personalities, high-maintenance coats, smart dogs who need a job, and gentle seniors who need patience and a soft place to land. We recently lost our beloved standard poodle, and while we're not ready for another dog of our own yet, we have a lot of love with nowhere to go. We'd be thrilled to pour it into yours. Your dog will be our only pet, which means undivided attention: no competing for the couch, the yard, or the treats. Speaking of the yard, it's fully enclosed, so there's plenty of room to sniff, play, and stretch out safely, and we're an easy walk from a nearby park for longer outings. Our home also includes a dog-adoring 7-year-old who has grown up around dogs and knows how to be calm and respectful with them, and all interactions are supervised. By day I run a national nonprofit (from our home), so I'm organized, responsive, and used to being trusted with things that matter to other people. You'll get prompt replies, photo updates, and a sitter who actually follows your instructions, whether that's a medication schedule, a specific feeding routine, or a nightly belly rub quota. I work from home, so your dog won't be left alone for long stretches. My day has a natural rhythm that suits most dogs: a morning walk or yard time before I start work, a midday break for a potty trip and some play, and a longer walk to the park in the late afternoon once the workday winds down. In between, your dog is welcome to nap at my feet, keep an eye on the squirrels from the window, or supervise my Zoom calls. Evenings and weekends are family time, which means more play, more attention, and more couch cuddles. I'm happy to follow your dog's existing schedule for meals, medications, and bedtime, since I know routine is what helps most dogs settle into a new place quickly. Your dog's safety and comfort come first in our home. We have a fully enclosed yard for supervised play and potty breaks, and we're a short walk from several parks for longer outings, always on leash unless you've told me otherwise. I do a quick check of gates and latches before every outing, and dogs are never left unattended outside. Inside, your dog has the run of our home and is welcome on the furniture unless you'd prefer they stay off. We've never crated our own dogs, but if a crate is what makes your pup feel safe and settled, I'm happy to use one. Just bring it along with their bed, food, and anything else that smells like home.

They send photos and videos regularly! Dzov LOVES his friend Jax and Ziggy and is always pooped out from playing so hard with those two all day. About: I have been helping my mom with rover since she started two years ago and I want to do this on my own. My mom has a five star rating and so once I earn your trust and get to care and love your fur babv. I’m currently in high’s school finishing up to start on my adult life and work in the big world and hoping I can start on that with rover. I have a fenced back and front yard. Safety is my number one priority. I do what’s best for the owner and pet. So if you prefer them to be walked around the block, go to the dog park or just burn energy in the yard i will do what’s best for you and your fur baby

About: Hi! I’m Rachel, I’m eagerly looking for people who need pet sitters in DC! I live with my 10 year old, small dog, and we have lots of experience with ranging animal types, sizes, and ages. I live in a low environment, one bedroom apartment in NE. I have easy access to the MBT where my dog and I enjoy walks along the path and sometimes to the Alethia Tanner dog park. My experience in DC has been a lot of fosters lately, mainly dogs but a few cats as well. I’ve raised a few puppies and also hosted our home to middle aged and senior dogs while they found their forever homes. I look forward to taking care of your babies too! I work full-time but am hybrid, so I’m only in the office about 2 days a week. I spend the rest of my time working from home, with my dog. I like to spend a lot of time at home, both during the week and on weekends, so lots of quality time will be spent with your pup too I live in an apartment with an elevator with easy access to grass for short potty breaks and wider, open spaces for more exercise. My home is very chill and low-energy. If the weather permits and I have time after work, my dog and I enjoy short walks along the MBT to Alethia Tanner dog park.

About: Your pup will be in the hands of someone who literally loves all dogs and will keep your best friend happy, safe and sound. Your pup will be a place where dogs get a little vacation while mom and/or dad are away. I work freelance so I can always ensure that your dog gets all the walks and playtime he or she might need on the schedule that works best for them and is the routine you want followed. Our house was home to our late dog, Jennings, so it’s set up to make sure the environment is safe. If your dog loves a dog bed or maybe their human’s couch we’re set up to make them at home. We only have a small front yard but it is fenced and gated.
