Hi, I’m Meg! I have 16 years of dog walking and pet care experience, both for my own pets and for others. I have extensive expertise with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, and fish. I love walks and play time and am very focused on each individual animal’s personal needs, comfort, and happiness. I’ve cared for animals with diverse emotional and medical conditions, including dogs and cats with hearing or vision impairment, anxiety, restricted diets, and senior pets, and I’m extremely responsible with strong attention to detail. I also strive to have clear and prompt communication with owners, and you can expect lots of cute pics of your pets and updates from me! 🥰 I am a wildlife researcher in my day-job, so I’m truly dedicated to animal wellbeing on both a personal and professional level!

Megan has done a great job watching and pet-sitting my pets! I have one medium sized dog and two bunnies. She is so kind and patient with my pets. My dog is not the easiest to manage, and Megan always does such a great job caring for him. She give regular updates and is great with communication. I highly recommend her to help care for your pets, of all shapes and sizes!
Megan took excellent care of our Tank. We received frequent pictures of him & he always looked comfortable & happy. He was given plenty of walks & so much love. 10/10 would recommend again!
Megan has watched our two dogs multiple times and I would absolutely recommend her to other clients. She is attentive, caring, and you can tell she really enjoys spending time with your pets. She also really enjoys walks, so your pups are going to get lots of exercise beyond just pets!

I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate walks or care any time of the day or day of the week, including mid-day, weekends, or overnight.

Safety, trust & environment
I live part of the year in Washington, D.C. and part of the year in Davis, California. I provide dog walking, daytime drop-in care, and housesitting in both cities. If you live in D.C., your dog is also welcome to overnight board at my apartment and we can explore the many parks and trails in the area. If you live in Davis, your dog is welcome to visit my spacious, fenced backyard that is foxtail grass-free for playtime and exercise, but I unfortunately cannot board animals at my house there. When it comes to clients’ homes, I am very respectful of your space and will also make sure that any pet messes are kept clean.
A typical day
I am delighted to meet whatever needs or preferences that a pet may have. I love long walks with higher-energy pups and playtime with pups and cats, or am happy to relax and cuddle with animals that prefer to be at home - or to give shyer animals their space. One of my favorite parts about our furry friends is their ability to bring us into the moment, so when I’m with your pet I will give them my undivided, distraction-free attention and love. Because my professional research is focused on wild big cat and canine behavior, I have a deep interest in enrichment activities that stimulate natural behaviors and joy in dogs and cats, so I’d love to discuss ways to incorporate this into my time with your pet!
