“Nicole has been walking and watching my dog for months— I can’t say enough nice things about her! She is so good with my dog, a pleasure to work with, and I would highly highly recommend her!”

“Thank you Joseph!! He came to the rescue in a time of need and on a short notice. Fast communicator and knowledgeable of dog behaviors. Would definitely rebook and recommend to others.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was very young. My parents have always had two to three dogs when I was growing up, so I am very used to taking care of them. I have taken care of all ages from puppies to older pets. I understand the importance of a pet being part of a family and would love to take care of yours! I am very flexible on weekends and somewhat flexible on Mondays and Fridays as well! I am available when ever you need me to be on the weekends! Although I don't have any pets currently, I am used to taking care of yard pets as well as pets with limited space, whether that be walks or going to the dog park!
“Wilber had a great first walk with Mike. I received a detailed report and some great pictures. Mike even received Wilber’s seal of approval via some face kisses and the opportunity to rub his belly!”

“Michael was prompt, professional and wasn’t scared of my reactive pittie. I have never let anyone walk or take care of him without meet & greet first. I just couldn’t do that this time as I am injured.”

“Claire was very responsive and open to meeting before booking for a quick meet and greet. She’s timely, responsive to Rover messages, and was patient with Fritz on their first walk and send lots of updates and cute photos. Will definitely book with Claire again!”

“Absolutely! Here’s your revised review with those thoughtful details included: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were visiting Washington D.C. and needed someone to walk and care for our pup while we attended events. Rut was amazing! She even met us the day before for a meet-and-greet at no charge, which gave us total peace of mind. She came to our hotel and walked our cavapoo twice — she was incredibly professional, accommodating, and kind. She really went out of her way to work with our schedule and timeline. Her communication was excellent, and we felt completely at ease leaving our pup in her care. Highly recommend her to anyone needing trusted and thoughtful pet care in DC”

About: I have rescued and cared for multiple street dogs to full recovery, as well as having had my own. I currently have an English Cocker Spaniel, who has a lot of energy, but I found I still have more care to give. I used to work at a no-kill animal shelter for about 3 years, caring for dogs of all ages and illnesses. Highly experienced with puppies and senior dogs, with some cat care. I’ve provided dog training services, maintained training regimens, provided physical therapy, administered medication for all ages and conditions, and has experience with all temperaments of dogs. I look forward to sharing my love, care, and experience with your furry family member! I am currently working from home and found extra time in my schedule to give more care to pets. My mornings are generally more available and fluid. I live in a townhouse with a small front yard. For boarding or pet sitting in my home, I look forward to having another fur baby to be friends with my own. But I can give that same care in your home if need be!
“Aroa was fantastic with my two huskies! This was also my first experience with Rover and Aroa made it great, she was communicative, great with my dogs and dried them off for me after a walk in the rain. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Janet was wonderful! Our sweet, but unenthusiastic, pittie loved her immediately and even gave her a half jump up. She was great at communicating, met all of his needs and wiped his feet before I had to ask.”

“We couldn't be happier with the love and care Emily has offered our pup, and the ways she has gone above and beyond to help us out. We have needed an occasional dog walker to help in the afternoons, and Emily has been most accommodating of our schedule needs. Our pup was a bit scared of the stranger coming into her home, but Emily patiently and lovingly cared for our pup, doing whatever was necessary to provide for her. Emily is a wonderful communicator, always sharing an update, and being patient with us. We will for sure be calling upon Emily again, and so appreciate her love and care for our pup!”

About: While growing up I helped my family run a dog sitting business out of our home. I am very experienced at walking and caring for dogs, especially medium to large breeds. I also grew up with two dogs of my own, a labrador and a beagle, who are both currently 14 and still incredibly healthy. I'm a big advocate for proper exercise, mental stimulation, and real food. Current student available to for walks / check-ins until Mid-August! Not accepting reoccurring bookings. Available on weekdays and on weekends on a case by case basis. I am more than happy to take dogs on longer walks or even runs. I grew up with labradors (and one very active beagle) so I am used to dogs with high activity needs. I am also comfortable caring for shy/timid dogs that need extra time adjusting to new humans. I am slow and intentional with my interactions and don't mind a little extra work to built trust.
The median cost per walk for dog walking in Capitol Hill is $20
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Capitol Hill
We had a great first walk with Russell! Communication was great and our dog Dashi had a great walk with Russell. Our dog is a bit reactive and Russell handled Dashi's triggers very well and made for a nice walk. We look forward to walking with Russell again soon.

Kaylee was reliable, professional, and friendly crouching down to meet my bostie at her level upon greeting — scoring immediate points in our hearts! Binx met her with an enthusiastic wiggle butt each subsequent walk visit (used 3 days in a row while I’m on crutches), which told me everything I needed to know. Kaylee handled my dog’s reactivity to squirrels and other dogs with confidence, making me feel completely at ease as well. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend Kaylee for her sweet spirit and understanding of short-nosed small dog needs amidst DC summer heat.

Max has been wonderful since our meet and greet. Having 2 very different dogs with anxiety with one and the other loves everyone. They get very excited when meeting new people and Max was very understanding. He ask questions would never have thought. I will be using him whenever I need a dogsitter. I highly recommend Max.
