“Sarah was amazing! She was great at communicating with me about how her time with Oreo was going and responded very well to a couple of unexpected situations that happened during my time away from home. I will definitely be asking her to help pet sit again!”

About: I've grown up with two golden retrievers and one lab, and many cats. In college, my roommates and I fostered a momma cat and her babies. Right now, I have two cats and a dog of my own. Therefore, I know how it feels to leave a pet alone and want it to have the best of care, and I'll make sure to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and active! I'm very reliable, responsible, and love working with pets! I volunteered at my local animal care league when I was younger. Right now, I volunteer at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. I've been on Rover for almost two years now and have watched dogs and cats. People tend to book me for their cats, since I am a bit of cat whisperer, but I personally don’t discriminate between cats and dogs :) Please let me know anything relevant about your pet's needs and I'll be happy to accommodate. This depends on when I am booked; I telework two days a week so those days are more flexible. If I am at the office, I would come by before and after work. Animals wouldn’t be coming to my home. For the clients home, I like to ensure that the pets are having their environment stay as similar as possible to what they usually receive, absent you!
“What a good thing to be able to trust someone with your dog and with Tiffany I felt it 100%. She was communicative- sending lots of updates and photos. From the photos it’s evident how happy my Nera was with being cared for and walked by Tiffany. Would rebook without hesitation.”

“Chase is an AMAZING dog walker. Phebe is always happy and Chase takes the *best* pictures to share! I always know my little pup is safe. Thank you, Chase! So grateful you’ll be able to keep walking Pheebs!”
“We loved Kalani soooooo much! Our dog, Maro, literally refused to switch to another walker after spending a few weeks with her while our regular walker was away, he adores her that much — we’re hoping he will reconsider now that she’s moving out of our area! She is amazing with dogs, super attentive and caring, and with pet parents she is perfectly professional, communicative, and reliable. 13/10 would recommend for any pet-related service!”

About: I’ve grown up around pets my whole life and have always loved caring for animals of all kinds. I’ve helped take care of family pets through walks, overnight stays, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. Professionally, I’ve cared for puppies and kittens, focusing on their safety, attention, and daily needs. I also have experience helping with potty training and creating positive routines for younger pets. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and always make sure they get the care, patience, and affection they deserve. I’m currently fun-employed so I will have all the time to spend with your loved pet! Giving them all the attention and making sure they feel safe and happy! I live in an apartment building, that is pet friendly! I currently have no pets of my own, so they will get my undivided attention! We live right by the water with quiet areas for walking, also opposite a park, excellent for a run around! For my anxious fur friends I’m very patient and we can take our time, happy to adjust walks and needs as they fit!

“Jannelle was so sweet with my 5-month-old puppy. My dog is a little nervous right now since she is so new, but Jannelle still got her out and about! Also, thank you so much for responding on such late notice.”

About: Based in Navy Yard. Grew up with dogs (two cavaliers) and love them! Also have experience with cats as well (two maine coons!) I’m happy to help you with drop in visits and walks etc :) open to overnight care once I know your pet! I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and I am in town most weekends with a lot of availability. Open for morning, afternoon, and weekends. I do not have any pets in my home. I will treat your home and your pets as if they are my own! I will always send you pics and updates when with your furry friends.
About: Growing up, we weren't allowed to have animals in the house. As an adult, I love playing with the fur babies and have some of my own now. Had one cat, then 2 and then 9 cats as well as two puppies. It helps me stay active while making an income along with keeping my schedule a bit flexible. This helps just in case I need to pick up one of my step sons. I walk my fur babies everywhere 2-3 times a day. My other fur babies (guinea pigs), make sure they have what they need for the day as well. Once everyone is taken care of, I then start my day officially.
About: I’m a 27-year-old dog lover who has called DC home for the past 8 years, and caring for pups is truly one of my favorite things. As a proud dog mom myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to look after your furry family member. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I always aim to create a safe, loving, and fun experience for every pup I meet. Whether it’s a quick walk or some extra playtime, I’ll treat your dog like my own! Pet sitting fits perfectly into my schedule since I work nights and am up early with plenty of availability during the day. This allows me to give pets consistent attention, walks, and care throughout the daytime hours when they need it most. When pets stay in my home, I create a safe, clean, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I follow their usual routines and any care instructions you provide, and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection so they feel right at home.
About: Hi, I have had a lot of experience with my own pets, as I have had dogs all of my life, in addition to dog sitting that I have done on the side in previous years. I am such a pet lover and I am really looking forward to this experience, especially since I work 100% remote. Some things that distinguish me from other people is that I am open to learning, so new experiences and situations come easily to me. Secondly, I am extremely caring, especially when it comes to other people's animals, since I understand what its like to leave your pet in the care of somebody else. I am also easy to work with and have no issues communicating through any possible issues. Working 100% remote allows me the flexibility to integrate pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. I can take short breaks throughout the day to attend to my dog’s needs, whether it’s a quick walk, some playtime, or feeding. I also make time for longer walks in the morning and late afternoon, which gives both of us a refreshing break and helps my dog stay active. Being remote means I can adapt my schedule to ensure they get the care and attention they need without interrupting my work flow. In my home, I provide pets with a comfortable and spacious environment where they feel right at home. My 3-bedroom house offers plenty of room for pets to explore and relax, and I have a fenced-in backyard that allows for safe, supervised outdoor play. I prioritize creating a nurturing and engaging environment, ensuring pets have ample attention, playtime, and exercise. For walks, feeding, and any specific needs they may have, I tailor my routine to each pet’s preferences. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I keep their routines consistent, providing the same level of personalized care and attention to ensure they feel secure and happy in their familiar environment.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong pet parent currently sharing my home with a dog and cat of my own, so caring for animals is just part of daily life around here. Because I work from home, your pup won't be left alone for long stretches — there's almost always someone around for belly rubs, a quick play session, or a nap on the couch. I aim for a balanced routine: walks and play to burn off energy, plus plenty of downtime to relax. I live in a house (no fenced yard, but I'm happy to leash-walk as often as your dog needs), and I'm set up to host small and medium dogs comfortably. Puppies and seniors are equally welcome — I'll adjust the pace and schedule to whatever your dog needs to feel at ease. I offer boarding, doggy daycare, dog walking, and drop-in visits, so whether you need overnight care or just someone to check in during the day, I've got you covered. Your dog will be treated like one of my own — because while they're with me, they basically are. Pet care is woven into every day around here. I work from home, so my own dogs and cats set the rhythm of my schedule — morning walks and breakfast, a midday stretch and play break, afternoon check-ins between meetings, and evening wind-down time. Adding a guest dog doesn't disrupt that routine; it just means one more happy face in the mix. Because I'm home throughout the day, I can offer consistent feeding times, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention without your dog ever feeling like an afterthought. Weekends are a little more relaxed — longer walks, more play, and lots of couch time. Boarding & Doggy Daycare (in my home): Your dog becomes part of the household for the day or the stay. I follow whatever feeding schedule and routine you send me, keep fresh water available at all times, and offer regular leash walks throughout the day (I don't have a fenced yard, so potty breaks are always on-leash and supervised). There's a mix of play, walks, and downtime, and your pup is welcome to settle in wherever they're most comfortable — on a bed, the couch, or right next to me while I work. I'll send photo updates so you can see how they're doing. Dog Walking: I show up at the scheduled time, follow any walking preferences you've shared (pace, route, favorite spots, things to avoid), and keep your dog leashed and attentive the whole time. After the walk, I make sure they have fresh water and are settled before I head out, then send a quick update with photos and notes on how the walk went. Drop-In Visits / House Sitting: I follow your instructions closely — feeding, fresh water, medication if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and any other routines your pet is used to. I'll also keep an eye on the basics around the house (lights, mail, plants) if that's part of what you need. You'll get a photo update from every visit so you know your pet is happy and your home is in good hands.
Anacostia dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was my first time using Rover and I was initially a bit nervous about the process. Not anymore- Madison earned my trust immediately after the first walk. She was on time, communicative before and after booking, she shared photos, and she was incredibly flexible throughout. 10/10 would recommend!

We downloaded the Rover app as an alternative to using a kennel because of the high prices, and honestly, we were a bit skeptical at first. But within just a few hours, we connected with Michael — and everything changed. After reading his reviews, we scheduled a meet‑and‑greet to see how our dog would react. Our dog took to him immediately, which made the decision easy. We booked Michael for two walks a day for seven days while we were on vacation and set up a lockbox so he could access our home. Michael was caring, compassionate, and genuinely loving toward our dog. It was clear he went the extra mile every single day. We came home to a happy, well‑cared‑for pup — and we saved a ton compared to boarding. Thank you, Mike. You’re amazing.

What a good thing to be able to trust someone with your dog and with Tiffany I felt it 100%. She was communicative- sending lots of updates and photos. From the photos it’s evident how happy my Nera was with being cared for and walked by Tiffany. Would rebook without hesitation.
