“Donald and Jeffrey were great. They kept me updated with how Jack was doing and were flexible with a schedule change due to possible bad weather. Thanks for taking good care of Jack!”

“Cierra looked after our 8yr old anxious chihuahua for 8 days. Communication was excellent, we got pictures and videos and text updates every day. Our dog had some special needs and Cierra was more than capable of handling them. She is very professional and reliable and we will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“As always, Briana took amazing care of my little pup. He’s been there a few times in the past few weeks and Briana has been so helpful and accommodating of travel issues and always makes sure my pup is happy and snuggled. So grateful!”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“I am so thankful to Alli and her family for taking such great care of my pup and highly recommend her. My dog got sick right before a work trip - Alli was extremely patient and understanding as I changed my travel plans at the last minute and was open to taking her, even knowing that she may need a return trip to the vet. My dog did absolutely fantastic in her care, Alli texted me regular updates and confirmed the sort of details that dog owners want to know when their dog is recovering from an upset stomach (that no one wants to see here.) Alli said she considers dogs part of the family and her care reflects that value 100%. Thank you, Alli!”

“I’ve been dragging my feet on leaving this review for one reason alone: I want to keep Elizabeth to myself! She is the best sitter I’ve been able to find on this app, and she is great at communicating both prior to a booking and during as well. My dog comes back happy and tired every time he stays with her and is always so excited to go back to her house. I trust her with my dog every time!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our Tony! Janel is kind, attentive, and truly loves dogs. Tony had never stayed in a different home before and has been pretty isolated. Janel was patient and loving to Tony and sent me cute pictures and notes. She was also very communicative and flexible when we had to change our pick up date. Tony adapted well to his new friends and I could tell he missed them after he left! Janel is the best!”

“Allie is wonderful! She has watched my pup twice and each time I’ve felt confident he is being very well taken care of. She was also incredibly understanding after weather delayed my flight home and I had to pick him up much later than expected. Would highly recommend!”

“Lia was so attentive to my dog Violet! So great to know she was in such good hands, Lia asked great questions and clearly cared to make Violet comfortable and happy during her stay.”

“Abigail did a great job caring for my dog over the 4th of July weekend. I was able to relax knowing my dog was in good hands. As a bonus my pup had a great time playing with sweet Stella. Abigail was easy to coordinate with, gave regular updates and also was very knowledgeable about dog play styles/dog behavior. Highly recommend!”

“Katherin was amazing! She sent detailed and thoughtful updates about my dog’s stay, giving me at least three updates a day, with such cute pictures! She made sure my dog ate, brushed her teeth, and gave her long walks around the neighborhood. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I recommend Katherin, your pup will have the best stay!”

“Zack was so professional and trustworthy. We hope he wasn’t lying when he said he wants to watch our fur monsters again!! He was reliable, communicative, and treated our dogs sooooo kindly. Thank you Zack!!”
“Jackalyn and her husband were amazing! They looked after our dog and cat and did a terrific job. They walked our dog 3 times a day and fed and played with both of our animals. Jackalyn was very easy and responsive to reach and sent us photos of our animals everyday. I would gladly let Jackalyn and her husband watch our dog and cat again, and appreciate the terrific job they did! Would highly recommend Jackalyn to all of my friends and family or anyone else.”

“Jasmine and Stormi were great with Roxy. Roxy was transitioning between dog foods during her stay and Jasmine handled it like a pro. I would highly recommend Jasmine for your next trip.”

“Matt and Kelly (and their sweet daughter!) took great care of Robbin while I was away! They took her on plenty of walks and runs and I received pictures while I was away which was very much appreciated.”
“Nicole is such a sweet person! Her love for animals by the way she took care of my pooch. She kept me updated and sent tons of really nice pictures. I most definitely will be using her services again!”

“Sarah took such great care of my cat while I was on vacation! She respected that my cat doesn’t always want to be pet or loved on and didn’t push that. She communicated well during the visits and gave me peace of mind that my girl was taken care of while I’m not home! I’ll definitely book with Sarah again in the future!”
“Bently took great care of our cat while we were away. He was always quick to respond, sent good visit summaries, and included lots of pictures! We’d definitely book Bently again!”

“Absolutely amazing sitter. She left detailed notes after every visit, sent pictures, and clearly put a lot of care and attention into checking on my cat. I really appreciated how communicative and thoughtful she was, it made being away so much less stressful. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she’s watching. Would absolutely book again!”

“Samantha took great care of my cat Cody! She gave him lots of attention and sent us pics while we were out of town. She also helped us resolve a non-cat/home related issue when we weren’t home. Would trust her to take care of my cat and home anytime!”

“Jannelle is just absolutely fantastic, hands down the best cat sitter ever. She followed all instructions related to my cat's care (and went above and beyond!) and sent detailed updates and photos about my cat every day. She did an incredible job making sure he was fed, cared for, and loved while I was away. I will absolutely rebook with her in the future.”

“Callen was able to accommodate a bit of a last minute trip - we truly appreciate her flexibility! She did a great job and our kitties were happy and well cared for while we were out of town.”

“Kalani did an amazing job communicating before and during the pet sitting, was punctual and reliable, followed instructions but made sure to ask questions when unsure (which makes me very happy!) and kept/left my house as organized and tidy as I when I left. I cannot state enough how amazing it was to come home after a week gone to very little cleanup needed!”

“Mikela was very personable and very communicative when we did our virtual meet and greet. Our kitty is very old and needed some extra care and she was very understanding and helpful about it. We were away with no service except for emergencies/ rare service spots so when we were able to check in she was very fast with responding and giving us updates. We super appreciated her and her attention to detail and how well our little old lady was cared for. We would absolutely book her again. Thank you Mikela!”

“Melissa is amazing!! I found her last minute before the Thanksgiving holiday, she was able to drop in on my cat twice a day for feedings and to administer insulin shots as he is diabetic. Melissa came to meet me and King for a meet and greet and she could not have been nicer, set me right at ease. She was always on time, asked questions when she needed, and took great photos of him while I was away. I felt really taken care of and will definitely be asking to use her service again!”

“Thank you so much for taking excellent care of our Little AJ and our home! Gabby has strong communication skills and she is very much a fully grown reliable grown up. She is dependable and very clear with timing and texting. Have to say this having dealt with a few different pet sitters over the years. :). Definitely will be working with Gabby again!!!”

About: For the past 8 years, I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities - and I truly love them all! I’m passionate about animals and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to care for your furry friend. In addition to my experience with dogs, I also have worked with children, which has taught me the importance of being patient, playful, and responsible. You can count on me to be trustworthy, attentive, and loving with your pet. Thank you so much for considering me! I am currently working part time and have lots of time in the morning and evenings to play with your pups! I would love for my day to full of dogs to love on! I currently live in an apartment with a dog park and a big space to run and play. I have lots of time for walks and playing. I have done lots of overnights and am very comfortable keeping your pets in your home or mine.

“Rosina was lovely and communicative about the day’s happenings. It was great having her watch our dog while we were seeing all the sights in DC on our trip. Highly recommended!”

About: I’m a huge dog lover and would love to take care of your baby! I grew up with/around dogs and have been pet sitting my friends’ dogs for years. My dog, Junie, is an easygoing girl who loves long walks and playtime just as much as she loves cuddling on the couch! We’d love to have your dog join us for fun and relaxation! My dog takes some medicine so I’m comfortable providing all sorts of medicines to your dog and accommodating for any special needs they may have. I always send lots of updates and photos cuz I know how important to me when I’m away from my pup! I work from home full time so your dog won’t be alone all day. I usually take my dog Junie out at least once during the work day but we can adjust based on your pup’s needs! I want your pet to feel at home! He/she will be allowed on the furniture as long as you allow that at home (don’t want to build any bad habits 😊). Junie and I love long walks before and after work and we’d be happy to have your dog join us. There is a dog park about a 10 min walk away that we got to pretty frequently as well. If your baby is more of a couch potato, we can make that work too! My dog, Junie, is very go with the flow and will be happy to do whatever your dog wants to do!
“My dog, Freddie, stayed with Joe for an afternoon while we were out in Beaufort. Joe has a great location, super convenient to downtown and a great backyard for the pups to play in. Joe made things super easy and his dog, Watson, kept Freddie busy and entertained for the afternoon. Would highly recommend Joe and Watson and hope to have Freddie stay again in the future!”

“Shelby was awesome! I had a last minute emergency, and she accommodated me and was very kind and flexible about it. Meech enjoyed his stay with her, I will definitely be taking him back there!”

About: I have owned several dogs over the years, but as my life got busy I could no longer care for a dog in my home. I really miss having a pet but, cant commit to having one full-time. I really wished services like this were available to me years ago and now that it is available I hope to help others keep their pets! It helps me too! I get to enjoy the love of a dog or cat for a few hour a day or a few days per week while you get to take care of your personal business. I am a HR Professional by day and animal lover at all times! I work from home 100% of the time and I take a few meetings during the day away from home. My schedule is pretty flexible. I work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible. There are some hours during the week where I'll be away from home, but if you need to message me about the schedule or your specific needs, I'm sure we can figure something out. I am insistent on meeting the parents and the dog before I provide services. This way we can agree on the needs of the specific dog rather than focus on my needs. I use that meeting to decide and help the parents decide if I am the right caretaker for their fury loved one. I live in a secure condo building with plenty of pets in a neighborhood that is very walkable and has plenty of dog parks around.

About: I had a dog named Buddy that I loved deeply for 16 years. Buddy passed away two years ago and it has been difficult moving on without him.I am looking for opportunities to dogsit for companionship and an excuse to be more active. I have dogsat for family many times and have experience caring for a range of ages and breeds. I am most familiar with caring for senior dogs. I work fully remote and will be able to be with your baby throughout the day. Please consider me you new sitter! Pet care fits into my daily routine, since I work from home, I’m able to take care of the dog during the day and night. I typically wake up pretty early and keep a regimented schedule throughout the day. I make sure the dog is walked. I make sure that I spend a little time playing with them if they’re older dogs and I spend a little time rubbing them or petting them. Some dogs don’t like all of that so you really have to pay attention to what type of dog you’re getting. Luckily I love all dogs so it’s all fun for me.
“Allie is great with Asher and took his special needs seriously. Asher made the transition to her as a new daycare very well telling me he is happy. I look forward to working regularly with Allie.”

“Kristine was amazing! She helped make our trip to DC wonderful with both her welcoming smile every morning at drop off, and her insider knowledge and suggestions that made our travels more enjoyable. Thanks so much for everything, highly recommend!”

“Melissa is a great host! Sasha loves her. She takes care of Sasha like it was her own. Melissa is responsive and will keep you updated. She cares for your pet and make sure they are safe and well taken care of. Sasha knows when it is daycare and time to go to Melissa’s house.”

About: I’m a 27-year-old dog lover who has called DC home for the past 8 years, and caring for pups is truly one of my favorite things. As a proud dog mom myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to look after your furry family member. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I always aim to create a safe, loving, and fun experience for every pup I meet. Whether it’s a quick walk or some extra playtime, I’ll treat your dog like my own! Pet sitting fits perfectly into my schedule since I work nights and am up early with plenty of availability during the day. This allows me to give pets consistent attention, walks, and care throughout the daytime hours when they need it most. When pets stay in my home, I create a safe, clean, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I follow their usual routines and any care instructions you provide, and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection so they feel right at home.
About: I have been a dog owner for my whole life. I see Pet are a part of the family and I can relate how much love you have toward your dogs. I’m currently studying online working toward my real estate license, I love pet and I love walking them in park. I’m home pretty much all day so it is very convenient for me to care for dogs. Your fur baby is in good hands, in my condo I have dog fenced playground, all dogs must be on leach all the time and also I’m surrounded by Brennan park for long walks.

“Sonja was amazing! She came out on short notice to meet our pups, and she did an amazing job with them. She sent us photo updates and checked in every so often. The pups looked so happy; we could tell they were having a blast and that they loved her. As owners of two large breed dogs, it's difficult to find someone who is at ease around them, not afraid, and not overwhelmed by them, and Sonja was all that we could have hoped for in those regards. We definitely plan on using her services again! ”

“Sarah was amazing! She was great at communicating with me about how her time with Oreo was going and responded very well to a couple of unexpected situations that happened during my time away from home. I will definitely be asking her to help pet sit again!”

About: I've grown up with two golden retrievers and one lab, and many cats. In college, my roommates and I fostered a momma cat and her babies. Right now, I have two cats and a dog of my own. Therefore, I know how it feels to leave a pet alone and want it to have the best of care, and I'll make sure to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and active! I'm very reliable, responsible, and love working with pets! I volunteered at my local animal care league when I was younger. Right now, I volunteer at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. I've been on Rover for almost two years now and have watched dogs and cats. People tend to book me for their cats, since I am a bit of cat whisperer, but I personally don’t discriminate between cats and dogs :) Please let me know anything relevant about your pet's needs and I'll be happy to accommodate. This depends on when I am booked; I telework two days a week so those days are more flexible. If I am at the office, I would come by before and after work. Animals wouldn’t be coming to my home. For the clients home, I like to ensure that the pets are having their environment stay as similar as possible to what they usually receive, absent you!
“What a good thing to be able to trust someone with your dog and with Tiffany I felt it 100%. She was communicative- sending lots of updates and photos. From the photos it’s evident how happy my Nera was with being cared for and walked by Tiffany. Would rebook without hesitation.”

“Kalani is wonderful! She is reliable, communicative and great with our pups. She is really wonderful with our higher-maintenance dog who is a runner and quite a barker. She is patient with him and takes great care to make sure he’s safe and secure. Best of all, we never have to worry about our pups on the days she’s scheduled to walk them. We’re so grateful! Thank you, Kalani!”

“Chase is an AMAZING dog walker. Phebe is always happy and Chase takes the *best* pictures to share! I always know my little pup is safe. Thank you, Chase! So grateful you’ll be able to keep walking Pheebs!”
“Michael was prompt, professional and wasn’t scared of my reactive pittie. I have never let anyone walk or take care of him without meet & greet first. I just couldn’t do that this time as I am injured.”

“Jannelle was so sweet with my 5-month-old puppy. My dog is a little nervous right now since she is so new, but Jannelle still got her out and about! Also, thank you so much for responding on such late notice.”

About: Growing up, we weren't allowed to have animals in the house. As an adult, I love playing with the fur babies and have some of my own now. Had one cat, then 2 and then 9 cats as well as two puppies. It helps me stay active while making an income along with keeping my schedule a bit flexible. This helps just in case I need to pick up one of my step sons. I walk my fur babies everywhere 2-3 times a day. My other fur babies (guinea pigs), make sure they have what they need for the day as well. Once everyone is taken care of, I then start my day officially.

About: Hi, I have had a lot of experience with my own pets, as I have had dogs all of my life, in addition to dog sitting that I have done on the side in previous years. I am such a pet lover and I am really looking forward to this experience, especially since I work 100% remote. Some things that distinguish me from other people is that I am open to learning, so new experiences and situations come easily to me. Secondly, I am extremely caring, especially when it comes to other people's animals, since I understand what its like to leave your pet in the care of somebody else. I am also easy to work with and have no issues communicating through any possible issues. Working 100% remote allows me the flexibility to integrate pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. I can take short breaks throughout the day to attend to my dog’s needs, whether it’s a quick walk, some playtime, or feeding. I also make time for longer walks in the morning and late afternoon, which gives both of us a refreshing break and helps my dog stay active. Being remote means I can adapt my schedule to ensure they get the care and attention they need without interrupting my work flow. In my home, I provide pets with a comfortable and spacious environment where they feel right at home. My 3-bedroom house offers plenty of room for pets to explore and relax, and I have a fenced-in backyard that allows for safe, supervised outdoor play. I prioritize creating a nurturing and engaging environment, ensuring pets have ample attention, playtime, and exercise. For walks, feeding, and any specific needs they may have, I tailor my routine to each pet’s preferences. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I keep their routines consistent, providing the same level of personalized care and attention to ensure they feel secure and happy in their familiar environment.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong pet parent currently sharing my home with a dog and cat of my own, so caring for animals is just part of daily life around here. Because I work from home, your pup won't be left alone for long stretches — there's almost always someone around for belly rubs, a quick play session, or a nap on the couch. I aim for a balanced routine: walks and play to burn off energy, plus plenty of downtime to relax. I live in a house (no fenced yard, but I'm happy to leash-walk as often as your dog needs), and I'm set up to host small and medium dogs comfortably. Puppies and seniors are equally welcome — I'll adjust the pace and schedule to whatever your dog needs to feel at ease. I offer boarding, doggy daycare, dog walking, and drop-in visits, so whether you need overnight care or just someone to check in during the day, I've got you covered. Your dog will be treated like one of my own — because while they're with me, they basically are. Pet care is woven into every day around here. I work from home, so my own dogs and cats set the rhythm of my schedule — morning walks and breakfast, a midday stretch and play break, afternoon check-ins between meetings, and evening wind-down time. Adding a guest dog doesn't disrupt that routine; it just means one more happy face in the mix. Because I'm home throughout the day, I can offer consistent feeding times, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention without your dog ever feeling like an afterthought. Weekends are a little more relaxed — longer walks, more play, and lots of couch time. Boarding & Doggy Daycare (in my home): Your dog becomes part of the household for the day or the stay. I follow whatever feeding schedule and routine you send me, keep fresh water available at all times, and offer regular leash walks throughout the day (I don't have a fenced yard, so potty breaks are always on-leash and supervised). There's a mix of play, walks, and downtime, and your pup is welcome to settle in wherever they're most comfortable — on a bed, the couch, or right next to me while I work. I'll send photo updates so you can see how they're doing. Dog Walking: I show up at the scheduled time, follow any walking preferences you've shared (pace, route, favorite spots, things to avoid), and keep your dog leashed and attentive the whole time. After the walk, I make sure they have fresh water and are settled before I head out, then send a quick update with photos and notes on how the walk went. Drop-In Visits / House Sitting: I follow your instructions closely — feeding, fresh water, medication if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and any other routines your pet is used to. I'll also keep an eye on the basics around the house (lights, mail, plants) if that's part of what you need. You'll get a photo update from every visit so you know your pet is happy and your home is in good hands.

About: Hi! I'm Krista and I genuinely love spending time with dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them. I recently said goodbye to my sweet and quirky 12‑year‑old German Shepherd. Caring for her throughout the years has given me experience with all the different stages from energetic pups to the oldies with mobility challenges and slower routines. My shepherd struggled with anxiety around other dogs, so I’m very familiar with reading body language, creating safe distance, and keeping walks calm and controlled. Throughout the years, I have cared for and spent ample time with doggos belonging to friends and family members and look forward to the opportunity to give others peace of mind when they need to leave their loved ones. Lots of walks, pets, play time and of course, photos/videos for owners! I work from home so there are lots of opportunities to go outside. There are a few parks nearby and lots of grassy areas. I also have dog beds, dishes and plenty of toys! Please note, my building unfortunately has restrictions on the following dog breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamutes, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Malamute, Pit Bull Breeds, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier and Wolf Dogs. I live in a condo building but there's lots of areas outside to venture around! I do own a crate if needed/preferred. I will bring your dog on many walks and ensure they have lots of play time (for the youngins) and rest (for the oldies) :)
“Serena is great! We needed a last minute affordable dog sitter while we went on a family Vacation and Serena came thru! We would recommend her for sure. She is friendly and has great communication. She sent pictures of our dog Taz throughout his stay. We will use Serena’s services again.”

“Vania was really great and accommodating. The dogs were happy and they made it really easy on us with updates and keeping the dogs longer with our late flight. Would definitely use them again”

“Super responsive, super friendly, sent tons of pictures and videos during the stay. Even went above and beyond to handle some of our dog's particular issues/factors.”

“Matt and Kelly (and their sweet daughter!) took great care of Robbin while I was away! They took her on plenty of walks and runs and I received pictures while I was away which was very much appreciated.”
“Aleyna was amazing! She was so accommodating to Geronimoe’s needs & made sure she was comfortable during her stay. She sent photos and videos throughout the day, which gave me reassurance my baby was in good hands. Aleyna provided updates every step of the way and was easy to stay in contact with. I will be booking with her again! She’s the best!”

“Bailey just had another great experience staying with Shelby! She is excited and happy to visit her in her home. Shelby is always extremely responsive and sends me pics daily. She goes the extra mile taking Bailey to parks, even on a snow day!”

“It seemed like Dakota did really well and enjoyed his time with Mary and her dog. Mary was accommodating to our scheduling needs and accommodated a meet and greet to make sure the pups would get along. Dakota seemed to enjoy her outdoor spaces. We would book Mary again”

“Kelly was so wonderful with dog sitting Jayke. She was patient, kind, and chill which is what I needed for my anxious lil shih tzu. She sent pictures without me even having to ask and was very nice and professional. I will definitely book again. Thank you so much!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
