About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I grew up with two dogs and two cats. I have years of hands-on experience walking, feeding, playing with, and caring for both cats and dogs while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter and fostered animals, giving me experience with pets of different ages and personalities. I know every pet has their own routine, and I’ll follow your instructions while providing dependable care. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m currently very flexible and can accommodate a variety of schedules, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I understand that every pet has their own routine and I’m happy to work with you to provide care that fits their normal schedule. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, a drop-in visit, or extra attention while you’re away, I’ll do my best to be available. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my priorities. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any other special preferences. I’ll treat your home with respect, keep it clean and secure, and make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I’ll also send regular updates if you’d like so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands!
About: I have taken care of the family dog and cat for six years. I have great experience with kittens and less with puppies but I am always willing to try new things. I have also cared for our bearded dragon and two parakeets. I am currently part-time. I will be staying in D.C. from June till September. I live with my awesome roommate and take care of our dachshund Willfred. Back home in Oregon I have a simple but sturdy fenced yard and another dog to keep yours company. I have a crate and food and water bowls.
“Rakel did an amazing job! She was so sweet, attentive, and professional. We have 2 pitbulls (who can be quite the handful) and she conquered the task effortlessly. I will 1000% rebook her!”

“Olivia was wonderful with my friendly yet very stubborn pup! Clued in to where he liked to walk and adjusted accordingly. She’s very kind, professional and responsive. Many thanks and highly recommend!”

About: I've grown up with two golden retrievers and one lab, and many cats. In college, my roommates and I fostered a momma cat and her babies. Right now, I have two cats and a dog of my own. Therefore, I know how it feels to leave a pet alone and want it to have the best of care, and I'll make sure to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and active! I'm very reliable, responsible, and love working with pets! I volunteered at my local animal care league when I was younger. Right now, I volunteer at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. I've been on Rover for almost two years now and have watched dogs and cats. People tend to book me for their cats, since I am a bit of cat whisperer, but I personally don’t discriminate between cats and dogs :) Please let me know anything relevant about your pet's needs and I'll be happy to accommodate. This depends on when I am booked; I telework two days a week so those days are more flexible. If I am at the office, I would come by before and after work. Animals wouldn’t be coming to my home. For the clients home, I like to ensure that the pets are having their environment stay as similar as possible to what they usually receive, absent you!

“Jada and Naz walked our two poodle mixes at 10pm every night while my husband was out of town for 18 nights. One of our dogs is anxious and reactive, but they were able to work with her kindly and effectively. They had very good communication and were good-spirited even when it was raining.”

“Logan kept my mind at ease as she watched my pug while was away for a week. I got multiple daily check-ins and she was easy to reach if I needed to know anything. I would hire again!”

About: When taking care of pets, I'm more loveable than anything and I also can be accertive but also loving and caring towards dogs and dogs love me especially pups. Im currently working part time, so ill have enough time to play and take care of your pups and dogs. I will make sure they are taken care of and loved on. I always walk my dog, make sure he has food to eat, play with him and overall make sure he's in a healthy safe place and knows he has a great owner who loves him.

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Friends, family, neighbors, and pet owners have trusted me to care for their pets as if they were my own. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what helps them feel safe, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic medications, reinforcing routines, or simply providing companionship, I am attentive, patient, and dependable. I know how important communication is when you’re away from your pet, so I provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins for peace of mind. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. I work remote, so I’m often home throughout the day and can accommodate pets who need companionship, regular walks, medication, feeding schedules, or frequent potty breaks. I enjoy maintaining pets’ routines and providing updates so owners can travel with peace of mind. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any household guidelines provided by pet parents. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats through house-sitting and pet-sitting assignments, including senior pets. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, communication, and making sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while their owners are away.
About: Hi! I’m a work-from-home pet lover with a flexible schedule, which means I’m available for mid-day walks, morning, or afternoon — whatever works best for you and your pup. I’ve had my own dog for six years, raising him from puppyhood, so I understand what it takes to care for a dog at every stage of life. He has health issues, and I’ve administered oral medication to him twice daily, so I’m completely comfortable and experienced with pets who have medical needs — no added stress for you there. Beyond my own dog, I’ve cared for friends’ and family members’ pets over the years and have been on Rover for several years. Most recently, I spent three years caring for a Bernedoodle who came to my home every day and stayed overnight regularly — so I have plenty of experience with both dog daycare and boarding in my own space. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. If your dog isn’t feeling their best, I’ll always communicate with you openly and handle it with care. Your pet is in good hands! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. Since I work from home full time, I’m here throughout the day — there’s no rushing home between meetings or squeezing in a walk during a lunch break. My schedule is flexible enough to accommodate morning drop-offs, mid-day walks, afternoon playtime, or whatever a pet needs that day. Having cared for my own dog for six years, daily pet care is just a normal part of my life — feeding, walks, medication, and check-ins are already built into my day. It’s less of an added responsibility and more of something I genuinely enjoy. I’m comfortable walking pets around the city in various neighborhoods(reactive or friendly pets). I’m happy to play with, feed, crate, etc. pets after their walks or drop ins.
“Simply awesome!! Emilee was super helpful and knowledgeable. She met my dog Hank it was an instant connection! So happy to have found a great reliable person I can trust.”

About: I was born and raised around doggies. I live in SW and its a doggie heaven around here. The parks are plentiful and the area is very welcoming to our furry family! Lola, my three y.o., terrier mix and I live comfortably in a coop community. We enjoy a lovely run most mornings and long walks in the afternoon & evenings. We love hiking, playing fetch & tug. We acknowledge and appreciate a regular routine each day. There is a lot of love, praise, toys & treats to go around. Our building is safe and secure as well. I will care for & love your baby as I do my own.

About: I've been the primary caretaker of my family's shiba inu and jack russell terrier and have experience training them. I work from home almost all days of the week and love pets! I work remotely almost all days of the week and barely have any meetings! I would be able to give walks every 2-4 hrs and live near a great dog park. They would have my full attention most of the day :D I live in an ~700sq ft 1 br apartment which is near the edge of the Capitol Hill area. It's about a 5 min walk away from a great dog park!

“Even during these unprecedented times, emergency dog care is needed, and Brittney was up to the challenge. She's quick to respond, asks all the right questions, and provides calm and reassurance that your pet is being taken care of. Great communication and service!”

“Megan was really sweet and I can tell she really loves dogs. I was super sick when I contacted her asking if she could take my pup. She went out of her way to send me updates during the walk but also when she was arriving. She was also incredibly polite! I hope I can ask her to take my dog out again as she came back in such high spirits but then layed down tired out from her walk. Thank you so much Megan!”

Charlie went above and beyond taking care of my dog on 4th of July. They already had a plan in place for safe walking considering the severe heat and left a nature video on for the afternoon to help drown the noise of the flyovers! Would rebook Charlie any day, highly recommend!

Robert was our walker for more than 3 years, and we never once had any issues with his service. In fact he frequently went above and beyond, offering to help monitor minor medical issues we were treating during his walks, placing packages inside our apartment when we weren't home to grab them during the day, and handling last minute emergency requests when they came up. Plus, both our pets adored him. 10/10, would recommend to anyone, and we are sad we can't keep him on now that we have moved.
Audrey is quite literally the best!! She took Reese on midday walks for the past eight months, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She was so loving toward Reese, incredibly communicative, reliable, and truly became the backbone of my household—even always making sure the Brita was filled up! Knowing Reese was in such caring hands every day gave me so much peace of mind while I was at work. I am so thankful for Audrey and everything she did for us. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pets like they're family!

Julia has been fantastic with my dog Tucson. From the start Tucson connected with Julia and has very quickly grown to trust to her (which is not the case with everyone). I have also appreciated Julia's excellent communications and reliability. I can recommend Julia without hesitation.
