About: Hi! I'm Krista and I genuinely love spending time with dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them. I recently said goodbye to my sweet and quirky 12‑year‑old German Shepherd. Caring for her throughout the years has given me experience with all the different stages from energetic pups to the oldies with mobility challenges and slower routines. My shepherd struggled with anxiety around other dogs, so I’m very familiar with reading body language, creating safe distance, and keeping walks calm and controlled. Throughout the years, I have cared for and spent ample time with doggos belonging to friends and family members and look forward to the opportunity to give others peace of mind when they need to leave their loved ones. Lots of walks, pets, play time and of course, photos/videos for owners! I work from home so there are lots of opportunities to go outside. There are a few parks nearby and lots of grassy areas. I also have dog beds, dishes and plenty of toys! Please note, my building unfortunately has restrictions on the following dog breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamutes, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Malamute, Pit Bull Breeds, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier and Wolf Dogs. I live in a condo building but there's lots of areas outside to venture around! I do own a crate if needed/preferred. I will bring your dog on many walks and ensure they have lots of play time (for the youngins) and rest (for the oldies) :)

About: I’ve always been a lover of cats. I grew up with two cats and have over 10 years of experience caring for cats of all ages and personalities. I also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I primarily worked with cats by providing enrichment, socialization, feeding, and cleaning. In addition, I’ve fostered three litters of kittens (12 kittens total) from 3-12 weeks old, helping them grow confidence and caring my for them during their most important early weeks. This included bottle feeding the youngest kitten, providing vaccinations, giving flea baths and combing out fleas, and cleaning up after the sickest kittens. About: I have owned several dogs over the years, but as my life got busy I could no longer care for a dog in my home. I really miss having a pet but, cant commit to having one full-time. I really wished services like this were available to me years ago and now that it is available I hope to help others keep their pets! It helps me too! I am currently working a hybrid schedule where I have some days in the office and at least two or three days of work from home a week. However my schedule is pretty flexible. I recently picked up some contract work where I am 2-3 days a week in the office 9-5 and then the other days 100% remote. There are some hours during the week where I'll be away from home, but if you need to message me about the schedule or your specific needs, I'm sure we can figure something out. I live in a condo building so dogs who are reactive to noises or activities by other pets when looking out the window may not be a good fit if they bark a lot, as my neighbors are used to a quiet environment. I require meeting the parents and the dog before I provide services. This way we can agree on the needs of the specific dog rather than focus on my needs. I use that meeting to decide and help the parents decide if I am the right caretaker for their fury loved one. I live in a secure condo building with plenty of pets in a neighborhood that is very walkable and has plenty of dog parks around. If your dog is not friendly to other dogs, children or people, my neighborhood might not be the best fit as there are a lot of dogs out and about on our daily walks. I am the best fit for dogs who are well leash trained, used to a quiet home environment, and are friendly to both dogs and people. I do not allow large dogs on furniture. I make an exception for small dogs under 15 lb.

Please note, my building unfortunately has restrictions on the following dog breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamutes, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Malamute, Pit Bull Breeds, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier and Wolf Dogs. I live in a condo building but there's lots of areas outside to venture around! I do own a crate if needed/preferred. I will bring your dog on many walks and ensure they have lots of play time (for the youngins) and rest (for the oldies) :)

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.

“David & Santos are THE BEST! They have taken care of my sweet girl multiple times now and they are so wonderful with her! They are very responsive, easy to communicate with, and always send photos of her snuggling or playing with them. She gets taken on lots of walks and spoiled with love there! My dog typically has anxiety when I leave, but she does so great with them and I don't have to worry while I'm gone! She also has a condition that she takes a variety of meds for, and they are very diligent about making sure she gets them on time and caring for her. 11/10 would absolutely recommend!!”
