Hi! I’m Aroa, a Spanish veterinarian currently based in Washington DC, working as a full-time pet sitter while continuing my studies here in the US. After losing my soul dog, I miss so much the company and routine a dog brings to me, so my house is open to puppies that will have the best care! My schedule allows me to spend most of the day at home, providing consistent care and a stable routine for the dogs I look after. I focus on daycare and dog walking, offering a calm, structured, and low-stress environment, ideal for dogs who do best with routine, supervision, and a peaceful home setting. With my veterinary background and years of experience, I’m especially comfortable caring for: • Senior dogs • Dogs with mobility issues or cognitive decline • Pets needing medication or close monitoring • Reactive or sensitive dogs who need a calm, experienced handler • Active puppies ✨ I’m especially a great fit for dogs who: • Prefer a calm home over busy environments • Need extra attention, patience, or supervision • Are reactive, shy, or easily overstimulated • Are used to a relaxed, home-based routine I always use positive reinforcement and adapt to each dog’s personality and needs. I have experience reading body language and managing reactivity in a safe, low-stress way. My goal is to make them feel secure, relaxed, and truly at home. Because this is my full-time work, I can offer: • A consistent daily routine • Flexible potty breaks and walks • Close monitoring of behavior, appetite, and well being 🏡 My home I provide a calm, quiet environment, and we also have a sunny private terrace with a small grass area, perfect for quick potty breaks between walks or for dogs who benefit from easy outdoor access. 🐾 Daycare requirements For daycare in my home, dogs need to be comfortable around cats, as my cat Minerva is part of the household (she does amazing with dogs!). 🐾 I’d love to meet you and your dog, I’m sure we will be the perfect fit!

I highly recommend Aroa. She watched our anxious Aja while we were on vacation, allowing us to see the city for the day. Aroa was professional, flexible with time and kept me updated with beautiful pictures throughout Aja’s stay. She was patient, intuitive and attentive to Aja’s needs, even sitting with her on the bathroom floor during a thunderstorm. I would not hesitate at all to book her again.
Aroa and her husband took an outstanding care of my little baby, keeping me posted about Bibian's rutines with lovely pictures. Aroa was friendly and professional all the time. You can see the true love and passion when she takes care of your furry loved ones. Aroa goes far and beyond when it comes to pet sit your dogs. I strongly recommend her good services to anyone without any doubt.

Aroa was wonderful with Brie! She was available to pick up a last minute request and was attentive. Brie is never fully open to a new person, but she was immediately comfortable with Aroa. Lots of pics and updates and we would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Aroa took great care of my four month old puppy while I was in the office. I got multiple check-ins and pictures throughout the day and I could tell from my pup’s body language that she was content and comfortable. Thank you!!!

Schedule
Pet care is my full-time focus, so I build my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. I spend most of the day at home, which allows me to maintain a consistent routine, offer flexible potty breaks and walks, and provide attentive supervision throughout the day. For drop-in visits, I plan my schedule carefully to ensure punctual, reliable visits that fit your pet’s routine.

Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, controlled environment, introducing pets gradually and ensuring everyone feels comfortable and secure. I only accept pets that are a good fit for my space and for my own pets. During visits in your home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s routine closely to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. With my veterinary background, I’m also comfortable recognizing early signs of stress or illness and acting accordingly.

Each day is adapted to the pet, but typically includes a balance of: • Walks tailored to their energy level • Mental stimulation and enrichment • Calm rest time in a relaxed environment • Interaction based on their personality (playful, independent, or cuddly) For more sensitive or older pets, I focus on gentle routines and low-stress activities that keep them comfortable and engaged.
