“Our first time leaving our dog with anyone and we were nervous about it, but we couldn't have chosen better people to leave her with. They were very friendly and they kept us updated with pictures and messages and were flexible when I needed to adjust our times. Our dog had a great time with their sweet doggie. Will definitely book again.”

About: I am a student at Iowa State University, eager to get some good puppy love. After moving from northern Illinois, I miss my family dogs dearly and want to help others with their dogs and give them the attention they deserve. Growing up, I had many dogs and cats, ranging from small to very large dogs. I am also experienced handling less friendly dogs, and am good at making connections with them. I’m currently working part time as a customer services representative at Iowa State’s Recreation Services and do research remotely in a lab at the university. I tend to be able to do early mornings or afternoons! My apartment is safe, secured by multiple locked doors and is regularly cleaned and uncluttered. At a clients house, I am sure to respect your pet’s way of life and the house rules as well.
“My pup Tucker had a great time with Stephanie & Shawn! They provided a good amount of updates and Tucker was worn out when he got back home! Will definitely stay in the future!”

“Amy and Casey were wonderful with our dog Matcha. We left her with Amy and Casey for 9 days over the holidays and felt completely at ease knowing she was in great hands. We received lots of photos and videos showing Matcha having lots of fun playing with their dog Duke, and she was clearly feeling safe as she snuggled with Amy and Duke. Amy and Casey have a large backyard where the dogs can run around and they have a lot of experience with dogs. We will definitely go back and we highly recommend them.”

“Libby did an outstanding job as always with my dog and cat. She graciously cared for them for an entire two weeks while I was away. She is so warm, kind, and flexible. My dog can be clingy with me when I leave him behind but he remembered Libby and was so happy to see her that he forgot all about me and danced over to greet her, his face completely lighting up and covering her with kisses.. That says everything about her wonderful loving care! So grateful for Libby!”

About: I’ve watched many dogs and two cats over the past 4 years usually over family friend vacations. I’ve worked with reactive dogs as well as two young puppies. I spoil my dogs and would be happy to treat your pets with just as much love! I am a part time college student so I have a TON of time to pet sit! As I prepare for dental school in the fall, I will also be free for summer work. I love staying with dogs in either an environment they are used to or my own depending on what the pet parent prefers! There is a fenced in dog park behind my apartment that is never occupied where I run around with dogs. If it is occupied, I would walk around the park nearby with lots to smell on the trail. I also love giving dog baths, so that could totally be included!
“Alivia was an amazing sitter for Ares! She was incredibly attentive and made sure he had everything he needed while I was away. She sent regular updates and photos, which kept me completely in the loop and gave me peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after, and I could tell Ares was comfortable and well cared for the entire time. I would absolutely trust Alivia to watch him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter!”

“Colonel had another stay with Kimberlee and Mitchell. As soon as we arrived, Colonel could not wait to start playing with their dog. Kimberly sent me updates each day which gave me peace of mind that everything was going well. We will be using them again and we highly recommend!”

“Our dog Luci had a great experience staying with Alysha and her family. They welcomed her in and made her feel at home right away. Communication was great with pictures and comments each day of the stay. Definitely recommend Alysha and would book again with her.”

“We absolutely loved having our Weimaraner, Hollis stay with Jacquelyn and her family! We felt so comfortable leaving her and Hollis enjoyed her time with them as well! There was never a doubt that she was safe and in excellent hands with them. We will definitely be rebooking with Jacquelyn every time we need to leave our Hollis.”

“Colleen was great and Peppa loved her! She kept in touch with pictures and video and took Peppa for rides and walks and snuggled with her when fireworks were going off for the 4th of July. She is super kind and thoughtful and also has a fenced in yard, which Peppa loved. We loved Colleen’s vibe and wish she would be our personal dog sitter. Peppa is probably thinking she wants to go back and that she had a fun vacation and a welcome break from us. 😛”

“Robbie & Family are the best sitters we’ve ever had. They go above and beyond in taking care of our Bolt. We will continue to book Robbie every chance we get!!”

“She was wonderful and I already rebooked with her. I got updates and I know that my dogs were happy. Her kids also helped and loved them. It was like they were just visiting in another family. They weren’t just in crates for days. They were with the family.”

“This was the first time we’ve boarded our dogs, and we were nervous. Jessica put us at ease by doing a couple of meet and greets to see if the dogs would be compatible. One at a public place, and one at her house. She treated our dogs as if they were her own. Jessica sent us photos and updates each day. They had a blast, and we will definitely use Jessica again the next time we need to board them.”

“Cliff did absolutely amazing with my dog while my husband and I were on a long vacation. I haven't boarded her anywhere in the past, she has always stayed at home and we had a dog sitter come in. Cliff was so attentive to our dog, gave her lots of attention and sent us pictures and videos. I would highly recommend him to look after your dog. He is always very responsive and my dog absolutely loved hanging out with Cliff and his dog and any other clients he had while we traveled. Excellent dog sitter!!”

“Casandra watched our boys for a whole week, and she did a fantastic job! She sent us tons of updates with pictures & videos that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that she cared for our two pups like they were her own, and she clearly gave them lots of love. They had a great time! I highly recommend Casandra, and we will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Savannah was amazing! She went above and beyond for our dog. She provided pictures and videos during our vacation, and let us know how everything was going. You can truly tell how much she and her husband care. Our dog was sad to leave her and her dogs behind.. shows how much love he received! Highly reccommed!!”

Ames pet parents share their Rover experiences
Katrina kept our two boys in her home for several days while were out of the country and we cannot recommend her highly enough. We visited her home twice before our trip and felt very reassured. While we were away, she was in regular communication and sent lots of photos. One of our guys has a recurring eye issue and it flared up badly while we were away. Katrina took great care of him. She took him to our vet and administered his medications. We were very worried about him and are so grateful to Katrina's family for taking such great care of him. I'd booked the incorrect dates and Katrina was flexible, making arrangements to extend our reservation. Katrina provided us (and our boys) an exceptional experience. We would not hesitate to book her again and recommend her unequivocally!

This is the second time we left Stormy with Samantha, and we did so with great peace of mind. He seems to enjoy going to her house, and Samantha and her family did a great job taking care of him, including all his medications and dietary needs. Will definitely hire her again next time we travel.

Sam watched my dog Milo for two nights. We did a meet and greet the week prior so Milo and her dog could get acquainted. Sam was flexible with drop off and pick up times and kept me updated throughout the weekend with notes and pictures. She worked through Milo's first night anxiousness and he settled in well by the next day. Milo loved the long walks and puzzles.
