About: I’ve watched many dogs and two cats over the past 4 years usually over family friend vacations. I’ve worked with reactive dogs as well as two young puppies. I spoil my dogs and would be happy to treat your pets with just as much love! I am a part time college student so I have a TON of time to pet sit! As I prepare for dental school in the fall, I will also be free for summer work. I love staying with dogs in either an environment they are used to or my own depending on what the pet parent prefers! There is a fenced in dog park behind my apartment that is never occupied where I run around with dogs. If it is occupied, I would walk around the park nearby with lots to smell on the trail. I also love giving dog baths, so that could totally be included!
“Colleen was amazing! She was flexible and responsive throughout the whole process and shared photos during boarding. Most importantly, she was great to our pup! We highly recommend using her if you’re looking to board!”

“Nicole and her family were so great with our 6 month old cavachon. They loved on her like she was their own. We knew from our first visit to their home, that they were a perfect fit! Piper was so worn out from all the love and attention she received, she fell asleep on our 5 minute drive home. We will definitely be back!”

“They have watched my dog multiple times now! I won’t go to anyone else but Erin and Chris to watch my fur baby! They take care of him like he is their own dog. My dog loves to be at their house! I get daily picture updates and it always looks like he is having the time of his life. He truly gets treated like a king at their house❤️. If you are deciding who to book with, book with Erin and Chris. I promise you won’t be disappointed🤗”

“Jessica is a terrific dog sitter. We rarely leave our dog, so when we do it is nice to feel comfortable leaving her with a trusted sitter. Our dog spent her weekend away from us playing with Jessica's dog and being treated like family. She is worn out from all of the fun she had. We will be using Jessica again!”

“If I could give Jessica 10 stars, I absolutely would! She was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. Jessica made both Cleo and our entire family feel at ease. We had never left Cleo with anyone before, but from the photos, it was clear she felt right at home. We received daily updates, pictures, and walks, which reassured us that Cleo was in great hands. So grateful for Jessica and her husband!”

“We had a last minute need for a dog sitter and Lara and Cary were very responsive. We are so happy with how they cared for our two dogs. Based on the conversation and the pictures they sent, our pups were totally spoiled during their stay. Thanks so much for taking such great care of our fur babies!”

“Cliff did absolutely amazing with my dog while my husband and I were on a long vacation. I haven't boarded her anywhere in the past, she has always stayed at home and we had a dog sitter come in. Cliff was so attentive to our dog, gave her lots of attention and sent us pictures and videos. I would highly recommend him to look after your dog. He is always very responsive and my dog absolutely loved hanging out with Cliff and his dog and any other clients he had while we traveled. Excellent dog sitter!!”

About: In addition to having dogs and cats as my childhood pets, I also worked with the Puppy Jake Foundation training service dogs for wounded veterans for two years, and spent a summer interning at Kawa Farms K-9 Training. I have always adored all pets, but dogs and cats have a special place in my heart! I’m spending the summer in Ames and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for last-minute bookings, frequent walks, overnight care, and lots of attention/playtime. I’m working part-time remotely over the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. I typically work about 4–5 hours on weekdays, leaving me with lots of availability for drop-in visits, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight sitting. Because I spend most of my time at home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m happy to accommodate pets’ normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for based on their individual routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medication instructions, and any specific preferences owners share with me. In my home, pets would have plenty of attention, supervision, and space to relax indoors. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be supervised and pets would always be kept safely on a leash when outside. In clients’ homes, I do my best to maintain pets’ normal routines to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, cuddles, updates/photos, and lots of companionship throughout the visit. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure while I’m there.
“Robbie & Family are the best sitters we’ve ever had. They go above and beyond in taking care of our Bolt. We will continue to book Robbie every chance we get!!”

“Our dog sitter canceled on us last minute before we left the country. Amy and Casey were very accommodating, took our dog in the next day and sent us many pictures, updates and even bathed our dog when he got into the mud. Would definitely use them again.”

“We absolutely loved having our Weimaraner, Hollis stay with Jacquelyn and her family! We felt so comfortable leaving her and Hollis enjoyed her time with them as well! There was never a doubt that she was safe and in excellent hands with them. We will definitely be rebooking with Jacquelyn every time we need to leave our Hollis.”

“I had to leave my dog for a week while I was on vacation, and Jodi did an amazing job making sure she felt comfortable, safe, and loved while I was away. I came home to a happy and relaxed dog, and I truly appreciated the updates/pictures she provided throughout the week!”

“Absolutely amazing care given to our girl. Jenevieve was excellent at communicating and sending pictures. I felt at ease that she was getting a lot of love when I couldn't give it to her.”

“Leo had a great time with Johanna! It was kind of a late notice trip and she was able to accommodate having Leo for 4 days. So nice having someone local and right here in town. She sent a pic each day and let me know how he was doing. He will be very excited to go back when we need to board him again! Leo gives a 5 paw rating! ??”

“Roxxie had a great time! Lynsey is communicative, flexible, and reliable. She has the cutest little girl who knows how to interact with dogs as well. I recommend booking with her for anyone who is considering!”

Ames pet parents share their Rover experiences
This is the second time we left Stormy with Samantha, and we did so with great peace of mind. He seems to enjoy going to her house, and Samantha and her family did a great job taking care of him, including all his medications and dietary needs. Will definitely hire her again next time we travel.

Sam watched my dog Milo for two nights. We did a meet and greet the week prior so Milo and her dog could get acquainted. Sam was flexible with drop off and pick up times and kept me updated throughout the weekend with notes and pictures. She worked through Milo's first night anxiousness and he settled in well by the next day. Milo loved the long walks and puzzles.

My dog had such a good time with Gina! She was very responsive and sent frequent updates. She was very good about administering my dog’s medication and keeping me in the loop with his care. It’s clear that he was very loved and well taken care of with Gina! Thanks Gina for taking such amazing care of my sweet baby!
