About: I have had pets ever since I was little! Anything you can think of I have probably had as a pet from Dogs and Cats to Guinea Pigs and Reptiles. As an Animal Ecology major, I have a strong understanding of animal behavior and care. I love spending time with all kinds of pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am currently in college, but I have plenty of time to give a helping hand when needed! I have a lot of availability, whether that’s before classes, in between, and after! I am available to care for your pet whether that be Feeding, Potty Breaks, Playtime, Walks, or just some Quality time needed! Although I am not able to take animals in since I am residing on campus, I am able to go wherever I am needed!

About: I’ve taken care of a range of animals that I think equips me for the kindness, knowledge, and skills to care for your pet. I’ve had many cats and dogs including a lab and a Great Dane. Training them in both in potty training to playing dead. I’m currently a student at ISU but have classes only Tuesday and Thursday till 5 so am open the rest of the week. I don’t have a job yet so free for whenever. I’ve done lots of pet sitting before at other’s homes my home does not accept pets though. I’m very trustworthy and comfortable with the boundaries you may have at your home.

About: I am a trained wildlife biologist and I have had pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils) my whole life! I have previously been employed and the Humane Society and Bloomingrove Vetrinary Hospital where I was professionally trained to take care of pets. This includes daily walking, feeding, and cleaning, as well as monitoring behavior and administering medication. I am a graduate student at ISU studying Wildlife Ecology! I love to spend my spare time with animals to take my mind off of school and to get outside. My schedule is very flexible! I spend quality time with pets and make sure they get the stimulation they need! I also ensure that they are in safe situations and that I am vigilant when other animals/people are around.

About: My family has had two different dogs since I was born. I also owned my own dog starting when I was 17 years old, and got another dog 4 years ago. Neither are no longer with us. I have taken care of cats for neighbors (changed litter boxes, fed wet and dry food). I also owned a rabbit and turtle growing up. I work from home but I am available before 6:30a and after 4:30p Monday-Friday and open anytime on Saturday and Sunday. I no longer have any dogs of my own so I’m looking forward to spending time with animals again, when I have free time. Following your rules for your pets is important to me. Feeding, walking, brushing/petting, and play time are all things I can provide for your pet.

About: I have had pets my whole life (dogs and cats). I love meeting other people’s pets as well! I currently have a 1 year old golden retriever and a 5 year old cat. I am currently a registered nurse. I work 3 days a week and need a little something to do on my days off! My fiance and I are also planning a wedding so why not make a little extra money by spending time with adorable animals! I can provide care to your animals however you would like me to, I have a very big heart for animals so I will treat them as my own :)

About: I have spent years taken care of animals in both a professional setting and with my own pups at home. I have worked as a kennel assistant and as a veterinary assistant for many years, providing care for animals of all ages and sizes during their times of need. Back home in New York I have two dogs, 10 and 3, who I love spending time with and miss dearly when I am away. My professional animal experience has allowed me to read animals cues, and get to know each pets unique personality. So weather your per loves playing and long walks, or hanging out on the couch, I will make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me. If your animals need any extra care or time warming up, I am experienced in working with anxious pets, administering medications, or caring for multiple pets at the same time. I am currently a veterinary student at Iowa State University, where my schedule is fairly predictable from week to week. I am typically at school from 9-3, and am available for drop ins over my lunch hour (12-1). I am a early bird so I can walk or drop in on pets before class in the mornings, and with all the studying I do I am available for late nights as well. My weekends are open aside from studying, and during these weekends I love spending time outside. Your pets comfort is my top priority, and I think maintaining a routine is the best thing for pets when their owners are away. When caring for pets in your home, I will work my schedule around their exercise needs, feeding schedule, medication schedules, etc. When caring for your pets, I will take as much time as needed to learns your pets personality, so I can best integrate myself into their routine in the times you are away. As a future veterinarian, I will also consistently be looking for signs of illness, and focus on creating a low stress environment for your pet. I am also always looking for cute photos, so you will receive updates and pictures from me so you can enjoy your time away from home knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving lots of love from me.

About: I’ve taken care of many friends’ pets in the past and take care of my own 2 year old cat. I’ve also house sat multiple times and feel comfortable with pitties as well. My weekly routine is fairly open right now. I am currently unemployed and have a very flexible arrangement. I will work most weekends as well. I provide lots of love and affection for the animals I stay with and care for as well as follow the instructions to the letter in order to ensure safety.

About: I have several years of training by and experience with handling and caring for pets. I have experience with all different animals from being a dog trainer, working in vet clinics to working with large farm animals. I’m currently looking for early morning opportunities and evening opportunities. I’m also open to overnight stays as needed. I can be flexible in those early and evening hours! I provide lots of care for your animals, if they need any maintenance (nails clipped, ears cleaned, medications, etc.) I’m totally comfortable with that from my work experience. I love to spend lots of quality time with your pet and get to know them and what they need!

I have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your pet like you do. I have experience with feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure dogs feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. About: For several years, I’ve cared for friends dog while they are away and needing someone to provide care, either extended in home stays or just popping in. I had a dog when I was growing up, and I loved being able to take her on walks and little adventures, now I just have cats. I enjoy walking dogs and taking them to the park for some enrichment and exercise! Providing some time during the day to keep your pet company is something I love to do. As a pet owner, when I'm away for longer than normal, it always makes me feel better knowing my pets have someone to check in on them, so I love to do that for others when I can! I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I am available for daytime care during the work day, as well as last minute care needs! I am happy to take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, and provide engaging play and attention. For cats, I'm happy to follow their cues, hanging out nearby, providing opportunities to play, and come get some affection if they want. I pay close attention to animals and their needs, responding quickly to any cues they are giving me about what they may want or need. If a dog seems stressed, we will head back home and get back to a comfortable space. With cats, I always let them set the pace and get comfortable.

About: hoping to go to college for veterinarian schooling. love dogs of all breeds and have never let a breed stop me from loving an animal. i have a leopard gecko, a kitten and a Havanese. currently out of school and i would love to spend more time with fluffy friends during my free time. walks are part of my daily routine. i have a fenced-in yard and a friendly havanese, he is slightly territorial but would never hurt another animal. lots of toys and treats in my home for dogs.

About: Everyone knows me as the dog-obsessed friend. I've never met a dog I didn't have a connection with. Dogs seem to sense that something is different about me and that I'm the one to go to for extra love and pets. I have particular experience with and compassion for senior dogs. My husband and I rescued an 8 year old black Lhasa Apso in Chicago and got to spend 4 wonderful years making sure her remaining time was filled with love and happiness. That experience opened our hearts and minds to just how special a relationship with an older dog can be, and is what inspired us to open our home to fostering animals. When I'm not fostering or dog sitting, I'm playing with my neph-pups, seeing what the neighborhood dogs are up to, or watching funny dog videos online. I work from home full time as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I am able to set my own schedule allowing me the flexibility to be available for all your pet's needs. Our home has a spacious fenced-in backyard for lots of running (plus some daring squirrels and rabbits around that seem to want to be chased). We have an adjustable crate for varying sized fur babies that I line with comfy blankets and padding. We keep the crate in our guest room with a noise machine and overhead fan so they feel comfortable and safe. For dogs who are used to sleeping in a bed, we forego the crate and just let a pup snooze right on the guest bed. If it's your home, I follow your instructions to make sure your pet is as comfortable and happy as if you were still there. I'm also a big photo taker! I will provide pup-dates multiple times a day until you tell me to stop.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have owned a dog since I was 7. Over the years, I’ve also helped local families care for their dogs while they were traveling, and during college I had the opportunity to help a breeder care for puppies as well as their adult dogs. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work with dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I also have hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic, and I’m currently a second-year veterinary student. Between my personal experience with pets and my veterinary training, I’m comfortable providing attentive, responsible care and following individual instructions for each pet. I’m currently in veterinary school, so my schedule is busiest during the weekdays, but I have more flexibility on weekends for house sitting and longer stays. I’m also available for drop-in visits and walks during the week when my class schedule allows. I’m very intentional about keeping my Rover calendar updated so families know when I’m available. I enjoy spending my free time outside, walking, and being around animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine! I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while their owner is away. I’m happy to follow specific instructions for feeding, walks, medications, potty breaks, and anything else your pet needs. My experience working in a veterinary clinic has also taught me to pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in their home, I’m respectful of their space and their family’s home and make sure everything is secure before I leave.
