About: I have had pets ever since I was little! Anything you can think of I have probably had as a pet from Dogs and Cats to Guinea Pigs and Reptiles. As an Animal Ecology major, I have a strong understanding of animal behavior and care. I love spending time with all kinds of pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am currently in college, but I have plenty of time to give a helping hand when needed! I have a lot of availability, whether that’s before classes, in between, and after! I am available to care for your pet whether that be Feeding, Potty Breaks, Playtime, Walks, or just some Quality time needed! Although I am not able to take animals in since I am residing on campus, I am able to go wherever I am needed!

About: Hi! I’m Luana, a 23-year-old veterinary technician with professional experience in veterinary medicine, doggy daycare, and boarding. I’ve also been dog sitting for family and friends since 2018. I am passionate about animal welfare and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care that I would give my own. Monday to Friday: after 6:30 pm (drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: Very flexible (drop in visits, dog walking, and house sitting) I currently offer care in my clients’ homes, as my cat prefers to be the only pet in the household. I believe pets are often most comfortable staying in their familiar environment, where they can maintain their normal routines and experience less stress. During visits, I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, medication administration if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. As a veterinary technician, I am experienced in recognizing signs of illness or discomfort and always prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of the pets in my care. About: hoping to go to college for veterinarian schooling. love dogs of all breeds and have never let a breed stop me from loving an animal. i have a leopard gecko, a kitten and a Havanese. currently out of school and i would love to spend more time with fluffy friends during my free time. walks are part of my daily routine. i have a fenced-in yard and a friendly havanese, he is slightly territorial but would never hurt another animal. lots of toys and treats in my home for dogs.

About: For several years, I’ve cared for friends dog while they are away and needing someone to provide care, either extended in home stays or just popping in. I had a dog when I was growing up, and I loved being able to take her on walks and little adventures, now I just have cats. I enjoy walking dogs and taking them to the park for some enrichment and exercise! Providing some time during the day to keep your pet company is something I love to do. As a pet owner, when I'm away for longer than normal, it always makes me feel better knowing my pets have someone to check in on them, so I love to do that for others when I can! I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I am available for daytime care during the work day, as well as last minute care needs! I am happy to take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, and provide engaging play and attention. For cats, I'm happy to follow their cues, hanging out nearby, providing opportunities to play, and come get some affection if they want. I pay close attention to animals and their needs, responding quickly to any cues they are giving me about what they may want or need. If a dog seems stressed, we will head back home and get back to a comfortable space. With cats, I always let them set the pace and get comfortable.

About: Since I was young I have been around dogs. We used to breed yellow labs when I was younger and my family always had a dog that needed taking care of. After work I have a very open evening. I like to stay busy and active. During the weekends I am always outside and playing with my dog My dog Theo is very telling in what he wants. I make sure he has plenty of outside time (unless it’s hot) and try to let him do what feels natural for him.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have owned a dog since I was 7. Over the years, I’ve also helped local families care for their dogs while they were traveling, and during college I had the opportunity to help a breeder care for puppies as well as their adult dogs. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work with dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I also have hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic, and I’m currently a second-year veterinary student. Between my personal experience with pets and my veterinary training, I’m comfortable providing attentive, responsible care and following individual instructions for each pet. I’m currently in veterinary school, so my schedule is busiest during the weekdays, but I have more flexibility on weekends for house sitting and longer stays. I’m also available for drop-in visits and walks during the week when my class schedule allows. I’m very intentional about keeping my Rover calendar updated so families know when I’m available. I enjoy spending my free time outside, walking, and being around animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine! I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while their owner is away. I’m happy to follow specific instructions for feeding, walks, medications, potty breaks, and anything else your pet needs. My experience working in a veterinary clinic has also taught me to pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in their home, I’m respectful of their space and their family’s home and make sure everything is secure before I leave.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs in my household since I was a child, but my experience caring for cats truly expanded in 2020 when I began fostering kittens of various ages. In 2021, I took my passion further by working as a veterinary assistant, gaining hands-on experience with medical care and daily cat and dog needs. Most recently, in 2024, I worked as a kennel technician at a local animal shelter while on break from college, where I cared for cats and dogs of all personalities and health backgrounds. I am trained in administering medications, handling pets of all ages and temperaments, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I would love the opportunity to bring this experience and care to your furry companions. I’m a college student who is free most afternoons, and, am available for drop ins most days except for Tuesdays, if you're interested in a time, please send me a message and I will respond as quickly as I can, my schedule is fairly flexible! About: I am a trained wildlife biologist and I have had pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils) my whole life! I have previously been employed and the Humane Society and Bloomingrove Vetrinary Hospital where I was professionally trained to take care of pets. This includes daily walking, feeding, and cleaning, as well as monitoring behavior and administering medication. I am a graduate student at ISU studying Wildlife Ecology! I love to spend my spare time with animals to take my mind off of school and to get outside. My schedule is very flexible! I spend quality time with pets and make sure they get the stimulation they need! I also ensure that they are in safe situations and that I am vigilant when other animals/people are around.

About: My friends, family and neighbors have come to me when they need someone to look after their pets. I’ve pet sit for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, fish and reptiles. During the week, I have veterinary school with breaks between classes. I was a vet assistant for 5 years so I gained plenty of experience with a variety of animals. Animal care is one of my passions so walking and sitting in my free time is something I enjoy! I’m am a veterinary student during the week so I’m looking to help walk dogs or pet sit on the weekends and days I get off. I have breaks between classes that I can utilize as well I live in an apartment with lots of trails and parks nearby. I hope to get them outside and walking especially during nice days. About: I have one dog and one cat at home who I love to hang out with. Since I moved to college I haven't been able to be around animals, I would have so much fun entertaining your pets!! I am currently a student at Iowa State University but I have free time all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays that I would love to use to play with your pups! Making sure your pet's needs are met is very important when leaving them, I would love to come over and play with them as well as support them in anyway needed while their parents are out of the home!

About: I've had animals my entire life. Taking care of our dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and reptiles were one of my main responsibilities growing up. I am a very quiet and calm person which makes me very good around the more cautious critters. I'm a full-time college student but I have availability around my class schedule in the middle of the day. I don’t work besides this and I’m free most weekends. I don't have the ability to keep any pets in my own apartment but I have a car and am able to get around in Ames. I grew up in scouts and the first point of the scout law is trustworthy.

About: I’ve taken care of many friends’ pets in the past and take care of my own 2 year old cat. I’ve also house sat multiple times and feel comfortable with pitties as well. My weekly routine is fairly open right now. I am currently unemployed and have a very flexible arrangement. I will work most weekends as well. About: I provide experienced, reliable dog care focused on dog walking and drop-in visits. I'm available for house sitting on the weekends. I grew up around working dogs, helping my grandfather and stepdad, who were coon dog haulers. From a young age, I was responsible for feeding dogs, cleaning kennels, and learning how to read behavior and body language. As an adult, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs, including nervous and reactive dogs. I also fostered a dog with aggression issues, which gave me real experience with triggers, stress signals, and safe handling. Meet-and-greets are required to ensure safety and a good fit for every dog. When boarding, I prefer to have smaller dogs due to living in a duplex. I can have 1-2 at a time. My dog gets along with most dogs, it seems he prefers dogs his size and smaller. I am experienced in walking 2-3 dogs at once. I have learned how to deal with dog fights and aggressive/reactive dogs through training. I have plenty of time for walks and Drop in visits. I would love to play with your pups and spend quality time with them. I will treat your home with the utmost care and your pet with affection.
