“She did a very great job taking care of my babies. She actually made another visit in between times so they wasn't inside to long. Highly recommend her. I'd definitely have her do it again if she is available. Great job”

About: In addition to having dogs and cats as my childhood pets, I also worked with the Puppy Jake Foundation training service dogs for wounded veterans for two years, and spent a summer interning at Kawa Farms K-9 Training. I have always adored all pets, but dogs and cats have a special place in my heart! I’m spending the summer in Ames and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for last-minute bookings, frequent walks, overnight care, and lots of attention/playtime. I’m working part-time remotely over the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. I typically work about 4–5 hours on weekdays, leaving me with lots of availability for drop-in visits, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight sitting. Because I spend most of my time at home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m happy to accommodate pets’ normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for based on their individual routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medication instructions, and any specific preferences owners share with me. In my home, pets would have plenty of attention, supervision, and space to relax indoors. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be supervised and pets would always be kept safely on a leash when outside. In clients’ homes, I do my best to maintain pets’ normal routines to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, cuddles, updates/photos, and lots of companionship throughout the visit. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure while I’m there.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have experience taking care of my own cats and dogs. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need to feel safe and happy. I genuinely love animals and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m available weekdays and Saturdays with flexible scheduling. I’d love to help care for your pets and make sure they feel safe and happy. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment by following each pet’s routine, giving plenty of attention and care, monitoring behavior closely, and I will make sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and happy while in my care.

Along with during college, helping a breeder with her pups and personal dogs ranging from 1 day old to 12 years old. I am currently working an internship 3 days a week. I am completely free on my days off with just trips to the gym and local coffee shops. I am willing to spends time playing with dogs and going for walks on my days off due to having an open schedule. About: Hi! I’m Luana, a 23-year-old veterinary technician with professional experience in veterinary medicine, doggy daycare, and boarding. I’ve also been dog sitting for family and friends since 2018. I am passionate about animal welfare and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care that I would give my own. Monday to Friday: after 6:30 pm (drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: Very flexible (drop in visits, dog walking, and house sitting) I currently offer care in my clients’ homes, as my cat prefers to be the only pet in the household. I believe pets are often most comfortable staying in their familiar environment, where they can maintain their normal routines and experience less stress. During visits, I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, medication administration if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. As a veterinary technician, I am experienced in recognizing signs of illness or discomfort and always prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of the pets in my care. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they are away.
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the combination of genuine love for animals and the space I can provide for them to truly thrive. Anyone that knows me knows my absolute love for dogs of all types. Living on several acres gives dogs plenty of room to safely run, play, and explore, which keeps them happy and active during their stay. We have great indoor and outdoor room, with things like a doggy pool to stay cool in the summer and a large heated shop to run around in in the winter! I have experience caring for pets of all ages—from the extra patience and guidance needed for puppies to the gentle, attentive support required for senior dogs. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, giving medications if needed, and providing both exercise and comfort. I have personal experience with caring for dogs with special needs. Above all, I treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. My motto is that the pets come first in my schedule. Saying no to a dinner invitation because my husband is out of town and the dogs need walked? I do it all the time. My day starts with a long walk for my dogs and extra playtime to ensure their energy is at a good level before I go to work. Our evenings are spent outdoors with the dogs right along with us. The weekends are full days of outdoor time and extra enrichment for the dogs in our care. Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets. In my home, dogs enjoy plenty of space to play and explore on our acres of land, all while being supervised to ensure they stay safe. I have two super-friendly dogs of my own who love having new playmates, and I can also crate your dog if that’s part of their routine or helps them feel secure. Inside, I keep a clean, comfortable environment where pets can relax and feel at home. Whether I’m hosting in my house or caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, from feeding schedules to walks and medication needs. My goal is to provide peace of mind for pet parents by creating a safe, loving, and structured environment for every furry guest.
“Libby responded to my request quickly and was very accomodating with a last minute booking. When meeting with her, I was impressed with her cheerful & confident manner. She was comfortable giving my cat her medications and was happy to give me updates and pictures with each visit. I would definitely trust her in my home to care for Alice again!”

I love meeting new furry (or scaled or feathered) friends and hope to hear from you soon! I work full time in Ames but would be happy to care for your pets around my work schedule. About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from a local rescue. I recently earned a degree in animal science and have plans to attend veterinary school. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! I take my dog for two walks a day, a shorter 10-15 minute walk in the morning, and longer 30-45 minute walk after work in the afternoon. On days I am not working, I go on multiple short walks a day. There are paths I walk for both off-leash and on-leash walking. Typical available days are T-F. Weekends vary. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied. I take pride in keeping a pet environment clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.
