About: In addition to having dogs and cats as my childhood pets, I also worked with the Puppy Jake Foundation training service dogs for wounded veterans for two years, and spent a summer interning at Kawa Farms K-9 Training. I have always adored all pets, but dogs and cats have a special place in my heart! I’m spending the summer in Ames and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for last-minute bookings, frequent walks, overnight care, and lots of attention/playtime. I’m working part-time remotely over the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. I typically work about 4–5 hours on weekdays, leaving me with lots of availability for drop-in visits, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight sitting. Because I spend most of my time at home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m happy to accommodate pets’ normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for based on their individual routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medication instructions, and any specific preferences owners share with me. In my home, pets would have plenty of attention, supervision, and space to relax indoors. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be supervised and pets would always be kept safely on a leash when outside. In clients’ homes, I do my best to maintain pets’ normal routines to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, cuddles, updates/photos, and lots of companionship throughout the visit. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure while I’m there.

About: I have owned a dog since I was 7, along with helped local families by watching their dogs while on vacation. Along with during college, helping a breeder with her pups and personal dogs ranging from 1 day old to 12 years old. I am currently working an internship 3 days a week. I am completely free on my days off with just trips to the gym and local coffee shops. I am willing to spends time playing with dogs and going for walks on my days off due to having an open schedule. I am comfortable coming to other houses to make sure their dogs stay less stressed and feel for comfortable in their surroundings. I take them for walks in the neighborhood on leashes.

About: Hi! I’m Luana, a 23-year-old veterinary technician with professional experience in veterinary medicine, doggy daycare, and boarding. I’ve also been dog sitting for family and friends since 2018. I am passionate about animal welfare and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care that I would give my own. Monday to Friday: after 6:30 pm (drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: Very flexible (drop in visits, dog walking, and house sitting) I currently offer care in my clients’ homes, as my cat prefers to be the only pet in the household. About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the combination of genuine love for animals and the space I can provide for them to truly thrive. Anyone that knows me knows my absolute love for dogs of all types. Living on several acres gives dogs plenty of room to safely run, play, and explore, which keeps them happy and active during their stay. We have great indoor and outdoor room, with things like a doggy pool to stay cool in the summer and a large heated shop to run around in in the winter! I have experience caring for pets of all ages—from the extra patience and guidance needed for puppies to the gentle, attentive support required for senior dogs. The weekends are full days of outdoor time and extra enrichment for the dogs in our care. Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets. In my home, dogs enjoy plenty of space to play and explore on our acres of land, all while being supervised to ensure they stay safe. I have two super-friendly dogs of my own who love having new playmates, and I can also crate your dog if that’s part of their routine or helps them feel secure. About: I'm an experienced animal caregiver of many species. I have owned dogs for about 10 years and have lots of experience administering medications and providing specialized treatments. I have worked previously with mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, etc and currently own chickens and dogs. I'm comfortable providing a nail trimming service and bathing if requested. About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from a local rescue. I recently earned a degree in animal science and have plans to attend veterinary school. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! I take my dog for two walks a day, a shorter 10-15 minute walk in the morning, and longer 30-45 minute walk after work in the afternoon. On days I am not working, I go on multiple short walks a day. There are paths I walk for both off-leash and on-leash walking. Typical available days are T-F. Weekends vary. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied. I take pride in keeping a pet environment clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.

About: I grew up taking care of dogs on our family farm. I was responsible for feeding, watering, cleaning, and spending time with them each day. I also grew up with a cat in the home. I love animals and enjoy taking dogs on walks. Besides my school schedule, I am very free. I have my own car and I live on campus. I am available in morning and evening and in between classes. I can fulfill any need that you may have for caring for your animal in your home. I live in a dorm on campus, which is not animal friendly:)

About: I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2024. I work in the small animal emergency/critical care department. I am RECOVER certified and Fear Free certified. I have been an animal my whole life and am now devoted to taking care and improving their lives. I do have a full time job but I start late in the day. If you need me to walk your dog or check in at your home I can do early mornings to early afternoon. My schedule also changes month to month from week days to weekends so depending on the month I can have more availability during my days off. I always make sure to see the comfort levels of animals before interaction. I bad interaction can break your pets trust. My FEAR FREE training has allowed me to work with patients comfort levels and how to appropriately handle scared animals. My CPR RECOVER training certifies me to be able to perform CPR on your pet effectively.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors dogs since I was 12. I love big dogs and small. I’m very active and love walking and running around with my pets. I’m a college student home for the summer taking remote summer classes so my schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available a majority of the week. I am surrounded by a large open grass yard and plenty of space in my home for inside or outdoor play. I also have a dog bed that I wash between every visit.

About: I have owned dogs my entire life. I am accustomed to the good, bad, and everything in between when it comes to owning a pet. Some of my dogs in the past have had medical issues of varying sorts, so I am no stranger to strict/detailed feeding. I am also used to walking dogs daily regardless of rain, snow, or sunshine. I'm currently a graduate student so my schedule is a bit random. I am most available in the early mornings or evenings. I'm always in need of a study break though and would be as flexible as possible. My living situation doesn't allow for me to keep your pet with me. However, I'm happy to stop by and either check on your pet or give them a walk!
