About: I’ve taken care of many friends’ pets in the past and take care of my own 2 year old cat. I’ve also house sat multiple times and feel comfortable with pitties as well. My weekly routine is fairly open right now. I am currently unemployed and have a very flexible arrangement. I will work most weekends as well. I provide lots of love and affection for the animals I stay with and care for as well as follow the instructions to the letter in order to ensure safety.

About: I am a current Iowa State pre vet student interested in experience taking care of animals. I have grown up having cats and dogs and currently have 9 pets. I am comfortable with dogs of all temperament and have worked with anxious and reactive dogs. I have years of experience from watching my own animals as well as friends and families. I am currently in school and have plenty of time especially in the afternoons as well as am flexible and able to make mornings work as well as plenty of time on weekends I am very patient and love to make sure I stay long enough to give pets the attention and play that they want. About: I have always loved animals and caring for them. I grew up taking care of mostly dogs, but I have experience with other animals like cats, goats, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I love meeting new animals and helping care for them. I am finishing my degree at Iowa state and will graduate in August. I am not sure what I want to do after I graduate, so I’m filling my schedule with pet sitting. I have a very open schedule for a while until I figure out what’s next for me. I can visit pets or stay throughout the day with pets at their homes, but I am not available to stay overnight. I treat animals as my own and truly love getting to meet and work with animals. I make sure to ask questions before giving treats or doing anything that pet owners might differ on. I make sure to stick to whatever schedule pets are used to and follow specific instructions regarding their needs. I provide daily updates and pictures so you know what’s going on and how pets are doing.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors dogs since I was 12. I love big dogs and small. I’m very active and love walking and running around with my pets. I’m a college student home for the summer taking remote summer classes so my schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available a majority of the week. I am surrounded by a large open grass yard and plenty of space in my home for inside or outdoor play. I also have a dog bed that I wash between every visit.

About: I know how energetic dogs are, and I am as well so we’re a perfect match! I can keep them entertained while they are also making my day so much brighter! I am a full time student with a part time job. My availability differs each week but don’t be afraid to ask! I love to go on long walks and I can entertain any dog for hours. I have 2 dogs at home, but here at college I do not have any pets. My apartment does allow pets so it would be no problem to have them over:) I also have the option of a fenced in yard if your little pup prefers to run around freely.

About: I have spent years taken care of animals in both a professional setting and with my own pups at home. I have worked as a kennel assistant and as a veterinary assistant for many years, providing care for animals of all ages and sizes during their times of need. Back home in New York I have two dogs, 10 and 3, who I love spending time with and miss dearly when I am away. My professional animal experience has allowed me to read animals cues, and get to know each pets unique personality. So weather your per loves playing and long walks, or hanging out on the couch, I will make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me. If your animals need any extra care or time warming up, I am experienced in working with anxious pets, administering medications, or caring for multiple pets at the same time. I am currently a veterinary student at Iowa State University, where my schedule is fairly predictable from week to week. I am typically at school from 9-3, and am available for drop ins over my lunch hour (12-1). I am a early bird so I can walk or drop in on pets before class in the mornings, and with all the studying I do I am available for late nights as well. My weekends are open aside from studying, and during these weekends I love spending time outside. Your pets comfort is my top priority, and I think maintaining a routine is the best thing for pets when their owners are away. When caring for pets in your home, I will work my schedule around their exercise needs, feeding schedule, medication schedules, etc. When caring for your pets, I will take as much time as needed to learns your pets personality, so I can best integrate myself into their routine in the times you are away. As a future veterinarian, I will also consistently be looking for signs of illness, and focus on creating a low stress environment for your pet. I am also always looking for cute photos, so you will receive updates and pictures from me so you can enjoy your time away from home knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving lots of love from me.

About: In addition to having dogs and cats as my childhood pets, I also worked with the Puppy Jake Foundation training service dogs for wounded veterans for two years, and spent a summer interning at Kawa Farms K-9 Training. I have always adored all pets, but dogs and cats have a special place in my heart! I’m spending the summer in Ames and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for last-minute bookings, frequent walks, overnight care, and lots of attention/playtime. I’m working part-time remotely over the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. I typically work about 4–5 hours on weekdays, leaving me with lots of availability for drop-in visits, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight sitting. Because I spend most of my time at home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m happy to accommodate pets’ normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for based on their individual routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medication instructions, and any specific preferences owners share with me. In my home, pets would have plenty of attention, supervision, and space to relax indoors. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be supervised and pets would always be kept safely on a leash when outside. In clients’ homes, I do my best to maintain pets’ normal routines to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, cuddles, updates/photos, and lots of companionship throughout the visit. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure while I’m there.

About: Since I was young I have been around dogs. We used to breed yellow labs when I was younger and my family always had a dog that needed taking care of. After work I have a very open evening. I like to stay busy and active. During the weekends I am always outside and playing with my dog My dog Theo is very telling in what he wants. I make sure he has plenty of outside time (unless it’s hot) and try to let him do what feels natural for him.

About: I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2024. I work in the small animal emergency/critical care department. I am RECOVER certified and Fear Free certified. I have been an animal my whole life and am now devoted to taking care and improving their lives. I do have a full time job but I start late in the day. If you need me to walk your dog or check in at your home I can do early mornings to early afternoon. My schedule also changes month to month from week days to weekends so depending on the month I can have more availability during my days off. I always make sure to see the comfort levels of animals before interaction. I bad interaction can break your pets trust. My FEAR FREE training has allowed me to work with patients comfort levels and how to appropriately handle scared animals. My CPR RECOVER training certifies me to be able to perform CPR on your pet effectively.

About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from local rescues. I recently earned a bachelors degree in animal science and currently attend veterinary school at ISU. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! Pet care is built into my schedule and comes as second nature to me now after being immersed in it for so long. On average, a minimum of 3-5 hours of my day are dedicated to my animals. I enjoy taking my dog on multiple walks a day, of varying lengths, to ensure he has enough mental stimulation and exercise to meet his needs. Training is also a constant in my household, whether that be scheduled training sessions, or simply consistent work throughout daily tasks. I find it important to build a bond with my animals as well as those I meet, and training helps strengthen that bond. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) and training exercises are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied and stimulated. I take pride in keeping my environment and my animals’ clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food and water bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.
