About: Visiting pets will be treated like members of our family where they will be attended to all the time. I do not kennel my pets. I am retired so now I stay home with my pets. I am available all hours and will fit any of my schedule that comes up around your pets needs. My pets are my babies. They do not stay out all day. I am good at monitoring stools and eating habits, always on the look out for any concerns. I am very weary of entering and exiting homes so pets can not slip out. Outside of the house, I am extra alert for off-leash dogs and other wildlife that may pose issues. If a problem arises with another dog, I know methods of separation and carry dog deterrent spray. I’m always present and in tune with their body language to make sure they’re comfortable and not showing any signs of distress or possible health concerns. The communication line is always open and you will receive plenty of photos with each visit so you can know for certain everything is looking okay. When I’m with your pet, it’s all about your pet and only your pet! I will never do something you have not listed in your instructions- the more in depth the instructions, the better!

About: I’ve had for dogs of every age and size for my entire life, but have been a serious caretaker of them for about 10 years. I can give medicines including insulin shots, and will heed every dietary and exercise need given to me. I’m currently working full-time, however I commute from Ames to Des Moines every day so I am used to driving long distances. I also have a very flexible schedule and can work from home if I can give at least 2-3 days notice; I can leave for long periods at lunch; and I can get off work early if a drop-in visit is needed before 4:00. I can also stay as late as necessary into the evening, as long as expectations are communicated beforehand. I am extremely communicative and I will let my clients know if I am early, behind, or unable to complete a task. I cannot take pets into my apartment or workplace, however, I have experience with strictly and loosely trained animals in just about every situation under the sun. When I was in college I worked at a doggy day care where I took care of multiple dogs, including feeding, taking them on walks, and giving them lots of love.
