About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes small to extra large as well as cats and even some exotic pets. I have been the go to sitter for my friends and family every time they go on vacation. I love caring for animals and can’t wait to help you with yours. I am experienced with animals- puppies to elderly dogs, kittens to elderly cats. I homeschool my kids so I have a very flexible schedule and can work with what you need. I mostly have open afternoons and Friday through the weekend. While I’m taking care of your pet I will do all I can to assure they are taken care of physically as well as emotionally offering love, play and exercise, whatever it is they need that day. Every pet is different and I will work with you to ensure they are getting what they need from me, walks, pets or play.

About: I have dog sat my friend’s dog, her aunt’s dog, and my sister’s dog. Dog sizes range from small to large. I love taking dogs for walks. I also love snuggles just as much. :) I would be available Thursday night after 5:30 to Sunday evenings. I currently work all day Monday, Tuesday/Thursday afternoons (12:30-5:30), and Wednesday mornings (7-12). I am off on Fridays. I live in a secure condominium. The front and side doors are both locked on the building at all times. Only homeowners have keys. I have stayed in other people’s houses as well. I always make sure to leave the house looking clean when I’m done dog sitting. That way you don’t have to worry about cleaning up after me upon returning home.

I also have dogsat for my neighbors with dogs of all sizes, from Shih Tzus to Bernese Mountain dogs. My schedule is very flexible during summer. About: Hi! I'm Gabby, and I'm a dependable, compassionate animal lover who would love to care for your pets as if they were my own. I have grown up with dogs of all sizes, and I have always had a soft spot in my heart for all pets because I know how important they are in our lives. I'm attentive to individual needs and understand that every pet has their own unique personality and routine. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby for company, I'm happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for every step of the way. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I have a very flexible schedule, and I am able to check in on your pet throughout the day at whatever time works for you and your schedule. I believe the best pet care starts with maintaining each pet's normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I can easily follow your instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, walks, and special needs. I make sure pets always have fresh water, plenty of attention, exercise, and a clean, safe environment.

About: Growing up, my family didn’t have pets, so I love my friends and family’s pets like they are my own! I am intentional and ask questions when learning from owners how to best interact with their pet(s). I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats, up to two of each at the same time. I prioritize playtime and being active with any pet I’m responsible for. I’m comfortable with both cats and dogs, and can adapt my skills and schedule based on their unique needs. My schedule is extremely flexible as I continue the job search post graduate school. I am able to support pet owners with short-term drop ins, frequent walks for high energy pets, and extended stays. I am available to care for pets in their own home. I aim to ease any stress by keeping their environment familiar and maintaining their usual schedule as much as possible.
“Absolutely fantastic. Daniel goes above and beyond to make sure that your pets are well loved. On top of that he even got my mail and moved my trash for me without even asking. He's on thr top of my list whenever I need service again.”

“Zaira helped me out with a short notice request to take care of my cat, Ernestine. Prompt and professional in her responses to confirm...checked in and out each visit with pictures...as well as provided a complete report card of Ernestine each day. Would definitely reserve with Zaira, again!”

I can easily crate your dog if needed. I’m happy to let them out, take them for walks, spend time for snuggles or play and even feed them a meal if necessary.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in West Des Moines with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
