“Sylvia did a great job checking in on my puppy, Max! We met up the day before to show her around and go over everything she needed to know to take him on a walk, feed him, and play with him for a while while I was out. She asked great questions and provided updates while she was there! I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.”

About: I’m a reliable and attentive dog sitter who treats every dog like part of the family. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any quirks that help a dog feel comfortable while their owner is away. I’m happy to handle walks, playtime, and basic commands, and I send regular photo and video updates so you always know your dog is doing well. I’m also comfortable with medication administration and special dietary or health needs. I WFH with a flexible schedule. Walks around the neighborhood are already a part of my daily routine, and I’d love to bring your dog along! V8 When I care for pets in your home, I keep them on their normal routine, same feeding times, walks, and any medications, so nothing feels disrupted while you’re away. I have a golden retriever of my own, so I’m comfortable with active, food-motivated dogs and know how to keep them calm and happy.
“We are so thankful for Lucy! She was available last minute to check in on our golden retriever while we were out of town. Lucy went above and beyond for a simple drop in visit - walking Saylor around to explore/potty, feeding her dinner (even her pre-dinner trick ritual haha), giving her plenty of water breaks, playing with her inside too, etc. This was our first Rover experience and we are so glad it was with Lucy, the peace of mind is priceless. We 1000% recommend her and will be requesting her next time!”

“While we debated having someone come check in on the cats while we were going for two nights, we are glad we had Sara come. We ended up having a water leak with water dripping through the ceiling. Sara let us know about this and put towels and bowls under the drips to lessen the damage from the water. Thank you, Sara! :)”

About: I have taken care of mostly dogs and cats, but i am not afraid to care for all others! I myself have dogs and ferrets all my life, so I am familiar with those needs. I am very good at understanding and following any requests or instructions that you might have for any pet, as well as sending updates in photo/videos while you are out of town. I am more than willing to do meet and greet for those who have a harder time trusting strangers to watch their fur babies! (I completely understand this feeling!!) Both you and your baby deserve to have that trust and reliability. I am currently working as part-time LMT, so my schedule can be flexible, leaving me with spare time to take care of your pets! Play time, walks, potty breaks, whatever might be needed I can assist with! Every pet has different needs and I can customize my schedule to fit.
About: Grown up with dogs all my life and absolutely adore them. Have trained a few puppies that we have had and taken care of my senior dogs as well. Love all animals will take very good care of your lovely pets while you are away. Working full time but have time before and after work for pet care and on the weekends. Will have some time over lunch break if needed as well. Growing up my pets we allowed in most areas of our house but certain areas needed to be more protected from the dogs getting into things like bedrooms or laundry. That stays true to the pet care experience and will ask about what each family prefers for their own pet. Walks on a leash are preferred over a collar but whatever the dog responds to best for the family will continue. Overall animals safety and also house protection is very important and will be the priority.
“Kady responded promptly to my sitting request! Once she arrived she was very calm and respectful to my dog who I explained is super nervous & timid the first time she meets anyone new. My dog had no issues with her. We will be using Kadys services in the future! 5/5 recommend!”

“Katie is AMAZING! We have a disabled cat, a senior cat and an easily spooked cat and she handled them all with such care and love! We have complex routines with each cat and she did it all beautifully! She is very accommodating and patient with working around schedules. She took lots of pictures and wrote detailed descriptions after each night of dropping in. I am 100% a returning client for her services. Book her, you will not regret it!”

In addition the high trestle trail is in our backyard which allows for nice long walks with your fur baby!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ankeny
Zoe did a great job taking care of our big pit bull and our ornery terrier puppy this last week. She did an excellent job of letting us know when there were concerns, brought in packages from the porch, and even offered to clean up the muddy paw prints that our boys trekked in while we were gone. Definitely plan to use this service (and request Zoe if possible).

Kady responded promptly to my sitting request! Once she arrived she was very calm and respectful to my dog who I explained is super nervous & timid the first time she meets anyone new. My dog had no issues with her. We will be using Kadys services in the future! 5/5 recommend!

It was our first time using Drop in visit with Rover and Madison was really good with our dog. She update us with all her visits and communicated really well. She also keeps a really good record in our report cards for our pup. We also love all the pictures update of our pup from her too during her visits !

We highly recommend Missy! She cared for our dog Orion like he was her own! She takes her time and gives all of her attention to your pet during the visits. We were out of town for a few days and didn’t have to worry about him once, we knew our pup was in good hands! We absolutely will book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
