I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals.

WOW! Missy was amazing. She took my puppy on several long walks. She even cleaned my apartment for me. Also had great communication. Definitely would ask her to sit again for me! :)
We highly recommend Missy! She cared for our dog Orion like he was her own! She takes her time and gives all of her attention to your pet during the visits. We were out of town for a few days and didn’t have to worry about him once, we knew our pup was in good hands! We absolutely will book again!
Missy was great with Luna. Luna has separation anxiety and has been known to escape other peoples homes out of panic that I'm not there. Missy has a calm energy and her home is very peacefully. Luna seemed to feel safe with her during her stay
I think Missy has got to be the best sitter my dog Bella has ever had. Not only did Missy welcome the challenge of a spicy chihuahua but she mastered it. By the end she let her hold her! And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!
Missy is a HUGE animal lover! She has volunteered at the ARL of Iowa for quite a while and has fostered over 20 dogs so she has experience with different breeds and dog 'personalities'. She has two cats at home too. You can rest assured your pet will be well cared for while you are away.

Schedule
I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us.

Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

A typical day
I love going for long walks or jog with dogs. We have lots of toys to play with and a comfy couch! If your dog likes Jeep rides and visiting dog friendly businesses and you approve, off we go!
