About: Visiting pets will be treated like members of our family where they will be attended to all the time. I do not kennel my pets. I am retired so now I stay home with my pets. I am available all hours and will fit any of my schedule that comes up around your pets needs. My pets are my babies. They do not stay out all day. I have 1/3 acre of fenced grassy yard for pate to play in, when they’re not inside with me.

Our kitties loved Tim, and they were very happy and calm when we returned home. He provided lots of play time for the younger cats, and lots of photos while we were away. I think they were disappointed it wasn't Tim when we walked in the door!

About: ***So you want a housesitter? Please read carefully before booking. ***I have an 11lb Havanese in my home who will be w/me for housesitting and boarding assignments*** I live and work downtown (full-time remote). I can host your pet overnight in my home; stay overnight in your home if needed. Pop-in visits to provide breaks, walks, feeding if you live within a reasonable distance. I can also provide day care services. Very flexible and try to respond promptly bc we all have busy lives. I do not have a crate. Bringing your own crate is optional but not required. House broken/trained is preferred. I prefer to host 1 dog at a time. 2 dogs from the same household would be possible but prefer not to mix dogs from multiple households. ***Housesitting notice - I do have an 11lb Havanese puppy that would accompany me for overnight housesitting assignments. He's house-trained, does not shed and very friendly with people and other dogs.*** ***Boarding / House-sitting requests please note that I have a 1yr old 11lb Havanese in my home. Very social, friendly and playful. He gets along w/all people and dogs. He will also be w/me for any house-sitting bookings. House-trained and not destructive.*** I usually reply to requests within 10-20 min. If it's after 11 then the next morning. I work remote full-time Mon to Fri 8-5. Can do pop-in visits, walks and feedings as needed or on a set schedule that works best for your pet's current routine. Condo here and unfortunately do not have a yard but there are lots of green spaces near my condo at 10th and Mulberry. Space is over 1200 sq ft so plenty of room for your pet. ***I do have an 11 lb Havanese puppy that loves attention but is very smart and picks up on queues from other dogs. Shy and timid upon introduction and will play only if the other dog engages. Loves people and attention. My Havanese will be present for boardings and will accompany me for house-sitting bookings***

About: I’m used to caring for dogs with very different needs and personalities. From seniors who need a little extra patience, to dogs with medical or mobility needs, to high-energy pups who are basically tiny crackheads. I’m comfortable with medications, routines, behavior quirks, and giving each dog the kind of care that works best for them. I’m open to all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. Big dogs and “scary” breeds are absolutely welcome here! I’m available evenings and weekends, which is when most of my time is already centered around my own dogs. I’m happy to spend my nights and weekends doing drop-ins, walks, playtime, feeding, medications, or just keeping your pet company while you’re away. I currently offer care exclusively in your home, where your pet can stay comfortable in their own space and routine. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications, playtime, and all their little quirks.

About: I grew up with 2 dogs! I raised my Snickerdoodle since she was a newborn puppy and taught her all sorts of tricks. I also own one cat and am very used to the lifestyle and care for both dogs and cats. I grew up around dogs and have been lacking doggy time since moving into an apartment and having to leave my childhood dogs with my parents so I'm hoping to be able to fill that hole in my heart by helping others dogs in the community! I am currently working full time from 8:45 to 5:08 but anytime before or afterwards during the weekday I would be available! I am also entirely available every single weekend! I have owned dogs my entire life growing up and am very accustomed to them! I also currently own a cat and have also grown very accustomed to that lifestyle!

About: What truly sets me apart is that I don’t just view pet sitting as a job; I view it through the lens of a dedicated pet parent. My own 80lb German Shepherd/Husky mix is my absolute entire world, and raising a large, highly intelligent, and high-energy breed has given me incredible hands-on experience. Because of my background, I am entirely comfortable, confident, and physically capable of handling large breeds and managing strong pullers on walks with secure, attentive leash handling. I am also deeply attuned to unique personality quirks, whether a dog has high-energy mental stimulation needs, a specific grazing/eating habit that requires patience, or anxiety around changes in routine. I treat every single animal with the exact same level of devotion, love, and strict safety standards that I give my own. Because my own dog is the center of my life, a pet-centric schedule is already second nature to me. My daily routine is built entirely around consistent morning and evening walks, and plenty of dedicated playtime and mental stimulation. Integrating your pet into my schedule is easy because I am already very active, organized, and adhere to a structured routine at home. I am able to do this because I work from home and my work schedule is very flexible. Whether I am stopping by for a drop-in visit, or taking your dog for a walk, your pet becomes a natural extension of my day. I treat every single animal with the exact same level of devotion, love, and strict safety standards that I give my own. When caring for your pet in your home, my absolute highest priorities are safety, emotional comfort, and respect for your space. I will strictly adhere to your specific instructions, security preferences, and your dog’s established routine to keep their stress levels at zero and to give you peace of mind when you have to be away from them. I know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home, and to leave your furry loved one in the care of someone else. I treat every single animal with the exact same level of devotion, love, and strict safety standards that I give my own.

I have a very flexible full time job schedule, so I am able to stop by at any time of the day or evening if needed! I provide loving, reliable care in the comfort of your pet’s own space. About: I have lots of experience working with dogs with Thyroid disorders, joint problems, hip problems, diabetes, and special diets. I'm very flexible. All you have to do is ask and we'll see. I've had Chocolate Labs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Poodles, Terriers, and Shih Tzus. I love animals especially puppies and dogs. I am also willing to watch your cats if you also have them. I wanted to be a veterinarian or veterinary assistant but I didn't quite have the grades for it so that's why I decided to become a dog sitter, a dog walker, pet care taker, dog lover, and pet lover. I will take the best care of your pet and love it like my very own. Hope to hear from you soon. I'm available for house sitting on weekends and some week nights just ask me. Availability for pet care all week depending on the hours needed. I always accompany pets when they are outside even in a fenced in yard. I take short or long walks depending on what is requested.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
