“Our kitties loved Tim, and they were very happy and calm when we returned home. He provided lots of play time for the younger cats, and lots of photos while we were away. I think they were disappointed it wasn't Tim when we walked in the door!”

About: My family had dogs growing up so I have some experience walking and playing with dogs. I also have had my cats for about 7 years. I work from home Wednesdays and Fridays and could easily stop in for check ins during those days. I love to go on walks to grays lake so definitely looking for a dog or two to take with me. I would prefer a set of rules for my clients pets so I would know best how to service their pet while they are away.
“I loved this service. It was very comforting to see the pictures and reports with how Teddy was. Justus was very good with Teddy and even brought my mail and deliveries in while I was away!”

“Becky was a life saver on the trip. We had two cancellations last minute and she stepped in and helped out with walking Dove. She does a great job providing updates and taking care of our dog. We appreciated the timely and complete updates from the walks and the way she helped out by bringing in packages while gone. Having a respectful and trustworthy sitter is something that is so helpful on a trip to be able to enjoy it. We highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs but more recently have been watching friends and families dogs (including a young lab puppy). Tell me everything about them so I can make them feel more comfortable! No detail is too small. My weekdays and weekends are very flexible for walks and/or check-ins. Please see my schedule for booking—multiple visits per day is no problem for me. I cannot provide home boarding, but I can be flexible enough to spend as much time as you want with your fur baby at your place!

“Kayla was great! She was friendly and immediately loved on our cat during our initial meet and greet! She was prompt with her drop ins and kept us well informed while we were away! Her report cards were fun to read and she always included great pics to let us know the cat was well taken care of!”

About: I’ve cared for pets regularly through graduate school and grew up with animals around my entire life. I’m a current cat owner and regularly care for friends dogs during the day and on weekends. Flexible availability this summer. Currently spending my summer studying so happy to watch your pets and study from your home. I can fit in daily walks and feedings quite easily. Happy to follow your instructions for safe and dependable pet care. I’ve watched pets with backyard access, regular leashed walking, and mobility issues. Glad to meet your pets needs.

About: I have always had a dog in my family since I was born! I had dog sat for friends and coworkers for as long as a week at a time. I am working full time with a non profit so my hours are pretty flexible. I would take care of pets in the morning before I go to work and they would be my first stop when I head home. I would respect the clients property and their rules and routines! Making sure everything is clean if not cleaner when how I found it! Nothing is better then coming home from a trip to a clean place!

“Christina is truly caring and patient with our cat Spaghettio. She was so kind and made even such a shy cat warm up to her right away. She replies right away and always has your pets interest in mind. I highly recommend Christina!”

“Kirsten did a great job with my high-maintenance cat. She came to the house twice a day, fed him, cleaned his litter box, PILLED him, and went above and beyond to play with him. I highly recommend her for your pet-sitting needs!”

“Roswell did a great job with Jack. We received updates on how things were going and what he did. She even left cute little paw prints she had done with him, super cute. Roswell just seems comfortable with animals in general. We would definitely use her again!!”

About: I’m used to caring for dogs with very different needs and personalities. From seniors who need a little extra patience, to dogs with medical or mobility needs, to high-energy pups who are basically tiny crackheads. I’m comfortable with medications, routines, behavior quirks, and giving each dog the kind of care that works best for them. I’m open to all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. Big dogs and “scary” breeds are absolutely welcome here! I’m available evenings and weekends, which is when most of my time is already centered around my own dogs. I’m happy to spend my nights and weekends doing drop-ins, walks, playtime, feeding, medications, or just keeping your pet company while you’re away. I currently offer care exclusively in your home, where your pet can stay comfortable in their own space and routine. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications, playtime, and all their little quirks.
“Emily was thorough and attentive while watching our two cats for the weekend. She checked in with us and sent photos for each visit, and even accommodated some specific medication needs for our older cat, Sweet Pea. We loved the attention she gave and felt very comfortable leaving our pets in her hands. We will definitely be reaching back out to her for future travel needs!”

About: With a lifelong ownership of dogs and cats, my experience expanded into rescue fostering in 2021. During this time, I have successfully handled pets that deal with separation anxiety, reactivity, handicaps, and limited obedience/cooperation. I am genuinely excited to learn more about your pet(s), their specific care requirements, and their quirks. I’d love to have responsibility of being your trusted caretaker while you’re away! I am currently working fully remote so am able to do all activities through the weekdays, and have flexible hours on weekends. I’m available to accommodate your schedule to the best of my ability. My home is pet-free, ensuring a comfortable environment for your pet(s), especially if they don’t get along well with other animals. Drawing from my experience with reactive dogs, I am experienced in implementing safety measures during outdoor walks or encounters with other animals.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pleasant Hill
I needed last minute care for my dogs before a trip and she was amazing. She took great care of my dogs even through my dogs weren’t used to new people visiting the apartment. She even checked in on them during bad weather. Really appreciate the help and would recommend.

Rachel is amazing! Maybe a "cat whisperer?!" First time leaving my dog for more than 1 night. I loved the pics I got more than I expected! It eased my mind, so I could concentrate on my work trip duties. She gave great care & love to my 2 cats and 1 dog. Highly recommend! Good job, I will use again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
