“Jessica watched Tripper for us during our most recent trip out of town. It was our first time boarding Tripper anywhere, and he had a blast. He met and played with her dog Rip and cat Ghost as well as the other dogs she watched during his 5-day stay. He came home tired and happy. She communicated and was flexible with drop-off and pick-up, and sent us updates to let us know how Tripper was doing. We would absolutely love to board with her again. We highly recommend her!”

“Jessica did an excellent job with little B and he came home happy and healthy. He can’t settle down without his dog bed, so we were glad we could leave it with him. We also brought his food and water bowl. Jessica was professional, competent, and caring. Five star rating, for sure! We will definitely use her again.”

“Rizzo enjoyed yet another stay with Samantha & Matt. There is clearly no shortage of fun & activity during her stays. Thanks so much for taking such great care of her!”

About: Hi, I'm Emily! I'm not just a dog lover - I've been a dog mom to just about every size and personality. Over the years I've had my own Chihuahuas, Labs, Olde English Bulldogs, American Staffordshires, and American Bullies. So I’m very comfortable with strong, energetic breeds as well as tiny lap dogs who think they run the house. I particularly love the bully breeds - no judgment, just structure, play, and lots of affection. I know how to read body language for both a nervous 4lb Chihuahua and an 80lb Lab who thinks they’re a lap dog. I’ve cared for a dog who required a strict daily medication routine, so I am meticulous about timing, dosages, and watching for side effects. Pills, liquid meds, special feeding schedules - I’ve done it all and I take it seriously. My home is calm with a structured routine. My husband and I are early to bed and early to rise. I keep a clean but dog-proofed home with a predictable routine for potty breaks, walks, play, and rest. We walk in the mornings and sometimes again in the evening if the weather allows. I only book one client at a time so your pup(s) will get plenty of attention! I promise to send lots of updates, photos, and videos so you never worry. Your pup will be treated like family here - safe, loved, allowed on the couch and in the bed and very well cared for while you're away. I have a securely fenced yard and take daily walks in my neighborhood for exercise. Inside, dogs have plenty of places to lounge, with dog beds, toys, and a quiet areas for naps. My home is non-smoking, no kids with one American Bully named Rosco. Rosco is neutered, two years old, about 80 lbs and loves other dogs. Rosco is a high energy dog who does best with dogs who are playful but also tolerant. Rosco also does great with smaller dogs and puppies. I am open to dogs over 40lbs but not more than 60lbs. I never leave dogs unattended for long without them being kenneled. I am home most of the day but utilize kennels when we’re gone for everyone’s safety. We follow a twice a day feeding schedule and I will gladly follow your instructions to the letter for feeding, crate time, and walks. I’m currently between jobs and have plenty of time for pet care. My husband works during the week and is around in the evenings and the weekends to help care for our pups. I have a fenced in yard a very friendly bulldog named Rosco to keep your pup company. I can also crate your pup if needed.
“Elizabeth was amazing! So communicative, smart with how she handled the dogs in her care, and incredibly loving with my pup. I will absolutely be booking with her again.”

“Shannah and her husband were awesome with our kittens! We had to last minute travel for a family emergency and they were available to take care of Taco and Cheeto. They sent updates everyday and were really responsive. Would highly recommend!”

“Kari is quick to respond to messages and was easy to work with. She was super about last minute time changes. She sent pictures and kept me updated on how my girl was doing. All in all a good experience and Freddie gives her a paws up!”

“Morgan took amazing care of our senior dog Riley! He was so comfortable with her and she did amazing sharing pictures with us while we were away. Definitely recommend her!”

“I think Missy has got to be the best sitter my dog Bella has ever had. Not only did Missy welcome the challenge of a spicy chihuahua but she mastered it. By the end she let her hold her! And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Ivana did a fabulous job, truly going above and beyond our expectations! We felt that she treated our dog like family, exactly as we would treat her. We got daily updates/videos and in every one, our dog looked like she was having the most amazing time! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“Maricela was awesome with easing in Sami into her home, giving her space to get used to the new environment. She sent pictures daily and was always incredibly responsive in both the inquiry and once booked. She accommodated our requests and was incredibly friendly. Definitely recommend Maricela if you are looking for someone that will treat your pet as their own!”

About: Hi! I'm Ross, I grew up having Labrador Retrievers as family pets and have always had a strong love of dogs. I like all dogs, big or small! I'm great at responding to a pets needs. I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! Working from home gives me extra flexibilty to give the pups extra attention when they need it. Regardless of the setting I am able to follow the guidelines that you have set up for your pet. I look forward to getting to know your dogs!!

“This was the second time we left Stormy with Evan. The first time was for two weeks and it worked out so well for us and Stormy and I did not hesitate to leave him again with Evan for a weekend. I appreciate the photos and updates Evan sent while we were gone, and Stormy seems to enjoy staying with him. ”

“We were traveling out of state and needed someone to trust Forest with for the weekend. Wonderful people who took great care of Forest! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Rover.”

“This was an amazing choice for us and we will absolutely reach out again if we need a dog sitter. The dogs clearly had a great time and I'm so glad Hazel was around so they had an extra pal to hangout with. Communicating was easy and we felt well updated (and we loved the photos of the doggos)”

“Christy & Erkam were so great. Daily pictures and updates on how our pup was doing really gave us peace of mind and let us know she was having a great time. They took the time to understand her schedule and habits which really shows just how much they care. Wouldn't hesitate to have them watch our girl again!”

“Niko was very well cared for while staying with Lara and Cary. We received updates with pictures daily. They were very accommodating. We would definitely use them again:)”

“Meghan took such amazing care of little Buster! She sent fun photo updates of his walks and small adventures around the house, and she made sure we knew he was settled in immediately so we were stress-free and comfortable during our time away. As Buster is an emotional support animal for my foster so , this was a HUGE deal for us. Ten out of five stars!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pleasant Hill
Robbie and her family took great care of my pup while I was abroad for two weeks. My dog Pippa had an allergic reaction where the vet prescribed her a cone and medication right before I left. Robbie had no concerns over this last minute health change and gave me great confidence that Pippa would be well taken care of. She sent me many photos and videos while I was away of Pippa living life to the fullest. I am so glad I found her to take care of my dog.

I would absolutely book with Iyari again! She and her family were so kind, accommodating with shifting schedules for drop off/pick up, and they made my dog feel right at home the entire stay. They live on a gorgeous property with lots of space for pups to roam and play. It is not so hard being away from your pup when you know they’re in great hands.

Aly did such a great job with my two dogs. This is the first time they were left with someone other than family. She was great with communications and photos. I was nervous about leaving them for a week while on vacation out of state. I think both of them had a great time. We will definitely use her in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
