About: Hi! I am a mom to two Australian Shepherds (ages 4 years and 4 months) and a toddler. My husband, son and I love dogs. I really enjoy walking, playing and snuggling with dogs. About: NOTE: I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 3 years. About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.
About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. About: I am a homeschool mom. I have had several dogs over the last 26 years from blue heelers, labradors, a lab/dane mix and most recently an Australian Shepherd. I've house-broken and crate trained all my puppies and we also adopted an adult rescue dog and acclimated him to family life. I have crates of various sizes to keep your dog safe and comfortable at night, when we leave for an errand or to retreat to as needed.

“Katrina and her children took great care of my pup while I was away for the holidays. She sent lots of updates and photos. Her dogs are super sweet and were great playmates for Luna. She came home happy and tired from all the playtime. Katrina provided all of the dogs with Christmas treats and they each got to unwrap and keep a present! Great service. I will definitely contact Katrina in the future when Luna needs a place to stay.”

“Me and my baby boy Stewie love Savannah! She took the time to get to know Stewie and asked questions to provide great care. She has excellent communication, sent pics and provided updates on how he was doing. Stewie is a small senior dog and enjoyed the company of her two dogs. Savannah is very flexible scheduling drop off and pick up. She is a very caring and welcoming person and I would definitely use her again!”
“I think Missy has got to be the best sitter my dog Bella has ever had. Not only did Missy welcome the challenge of a spicy chihuahua but she mastered it. By the end she let her hold her! And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!”
“We have an incredibly shy dog. He is very leery of people and we have tended to not board him. Osvaldo and his family were AMAZING with our dog. They were petting him, he was sleeping at their feet, and they were taking him for walks in the park--something he never does well. We loved all the updates, his home was set up for taking care of dogs, and he had other dogs to play with while we were gone--something he loves. I think Osvaldo is a dog whisperer. Magic--sheer magic! Even our dog trainer couldn't get these results from him. We are forever indebted and will use him again!”
