About: Multiple employments at veterinary practices >8000 hours working and handling all sorts of pets, mostly cats, dogs and small mammals. Dog training experience as well, not certified and mostly with police K9s I work full time, but once a month I work from home so I can very flexible those weeks, however, able to sit after work and on weekends. I will work around the pets needs and what you allow the pet to do at home as well. Very flexible here with whatever is needed.

About: Hi! My name is Roxy, and I’m a dependable, compassionate pet sitter who loves caring for animals of all kinds. Whether you’re away for a weekend or an extended trip, I provide loving care to help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy in their own environment. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other small pets, including feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic medications, and giving plenty of attention and affection. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I make it a priority to follow your instructions carefully. I have two friendly Australian shepherds and experience with many breeds, sizes and ages. I have grown up with pets my entire life and owned multiple dogs for 20 years. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members! I’m currently working a hybrid schedule and am home 2-3 days during the week. I have availability for in home and drop in visits or walks during the weekend as well. I have a fenced in yard with two friendly and fixed dogs to give yours company while away. Open to in home or drop in visits as needed along with walks and needed exercise. I have two children that have been raised around pets that respect them and enjoy playing with them. If your dog prefers a crate we are a crate trained home.

About: I helped take care of my family’s two senior cats. I assisted in giving them medications, cleaning their ears, and grooming their matted fur. I have cat and dog sat for friends and family (both young and old animals). I ensure they have plenty of food and water, clean litter boxes, go on walks, and spend time with them playing/cuddling. I am back from college for the summer and have plenty of free time on my hands! I am free to dog or cat sit until the end of August. I plan to be attentive to your animals and enthusiastic to spend time with them. I have no specific requirements but would love to chat more after booking the appointment.

About: I have been a dog walker at the ARL for 3 years. I have also taken care of many teachers, friends, and neighbors pets. As well as taken care of my school pets! I have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, and many other pets! I work at a veterinary clinic and have kennel shifts a few times throughout the week in the morning and evening. I am also a college student so I have classes. Aside from that I am available and fully willing to work around whatever I need ! I am a deep lover of animals. I have loved animals all my life, and I decided to pursue this love by doing all kinds of volunteer work. I have worked at the ARL as a volunteer for 3 years. I am going into college for animal ecology, and eventually going into vet school to study proper care for animals. I do whatever I can to make my dogs, cats, and other pets at my house feel as loved as possible as well as safe. I hope to make your pet feel the same way.

I’m currently a sophomore at Iowa State studying Criminal Justice. When I’m not in class I love spending time with friends, going for walks, and being with animals! About: I have over 2000 hours caring for shelter cats. I am the guardian of five cats. I'm comfortable around shy cats, kittens, old cats, all cats! I can administer simple medication if needed. I'm extremely patient and will take the time to let your cat get comfortable with me, or back away if your cat is stressed. I would love to play with your cat! I love cuddles! I love chillin' from a distance if that's what your cat needs. I'm a responsible adult and will follow the directions you leave for me. Your trip away from home will be worry-free in my care. I can also provide excellent care for small animals. Growing up I had a summer job caring for rabbits and a rabbit of my own who lived to be 12 years old! I also had a pet guinea pig named Oreo. I know how hard it is to find sitters for "exotic" pets. I grew up with family members with dogs (Rocky, Max, Snick, and Ginger) and have shelter experience with dogs as well. I want to meet your doggo! I have flexible job hours and can work around your schedule. I have a car and am not afraid to drive in inclement weather conditions. With my own cats, I feed them twice per day and give them hours of cuddle time. My experience at animal shelters has given me a lot of experience approaching cats with different personality types.

About: I've been pet-sitting around my neighborhood since I was 10, and grown up alongside dogs, cats, small rodents, and reptiles. I'm far from squeamish, and I love all creatures, even if they are grumpy, irritable, or messy. I volunteer at the ARL in Ankeny! I'm based in New Orleans during the school year, and Iowa during breaks! I'm currently in school, but because I'm not taking a full schedule of classes, I can be around your pets multiple times over the school week every day. I have my own car, so I'm able to get where I need to easily. I don't do sports, so I'm free almost every day of the week, save for the occasional band event. My dog is a friendly older dog who is far from aggressive. She lives to sleep and sit in the sun, and is unbothered by even the most hyper of puppies. I do not have a fenced yard, but I love to walk pets, and will walk them in the morning, at night, or whenever they need it. I also have two cats who have mastered the art of avoiding new dogs when they are over. I can be high energy or low energy depending on what a dog needs, and love to stick to a schedule. The longer and more detailed the instructions, the better!

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors dogs since I was 12. I love big dogs and small. I’m very active and love walking and running around with my pets. I’m a college student home for the summer taking remote summer classes so my schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available a majority of the week. I am surrounded by a large open grass yard and plenty of space in my home for inside or outdoor play. I also have a dog bed that I wash between every visit.

I have a flexible schedule and can make time for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays depending on what your pet needs. I love getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. I’m also good about keeping a consistent routine and making sure pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need throughout the day. I always want pets to feel comfortable, safe, and at home while they’re in my care. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure to stick to the pet’s normal routine as much as possible.
