About: I've been pet-sitting around my neighborhood since I was 10, and grown up alongside dogs, cats, small rodents, and reptiles. I'm far from squeamish, and I love all creatures, even if they are grumpy, irritable, or messy. I volunteer at the ARL in Ankeny! I'm based in New Orleans during the school year, and Iowa during breaks! I'm currently in school, but because I'm not taking a full schedule of classes, I can be around your pets multiple times over the school week every day. I have my own car, so I'm able to get where I need to easily. I don't do sports, so I'm free almost every day of the week, save for the occasional band event. My dog is a friendly older dog who is far from aggressive. She lives to sleep and sit in the sun, and is unbothered by even the most hyper of puppies. I do not have a fenced yard, but I love to walk pets, and will walk them in the morning, at night, or whenever they need it. I also have two cats who have mastered the art of avoiding new dogs when they are over. I can be high energy or low energy depending on what a dog needs, and love to stick to a schedule. The longer and more detailed the instructions, the better!

If your dog prefers a crate we are a crate trained home.

About: I have been a dog walker at the ARL for 3 years. I have also taken care of many teachers, friends, and neighbors pets. As well as taken care of my school pets! I have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, and many other pets! I work at a veterinary clinic and have kennel shifts a few times throughout the week in the morning and evening. I am also a college student so I have classes. Aside from that I am available and fully willing to work around whatever I need ! I am a deep lover of animals. I have loved animals all my life, and I decided to pursue this love by doing all kinds of volunteer work. I have worked at the ARL as a volunteer for 3 years. I am going into college for animal ecology, and eventually going into vet school to study proper care for animals. About: I have owned a dog since I was 7, along with helped local families by watching their dogs while on vacation. Along with during college, helping a breeder with her pups and personal dogs ranging from 1 day old to 12 years old. I am currently working an internship 3 days a week. I am completely free on my days off with just trips to the gym and local coffee shops. I am willing to spends time playing with dogs and going for walks on my days off due to having an open schedule. I am comfortable coming to other houses to make sure their dogs stay less stressed and feel for comfortable in their surroundings. I take them for walks in the neighborhood on leashes.

About: I have experience in feeding, grooming, and dog sitting. I am good with connecting with all sorts of dogs no matter the age, size, or personality. I’m patient and will make sure all animals feel safe and comfortable around me and I will make sure to keep the owners updated. I am a student in College student looking for some extra animal experience! I am free every morning, in the earlier afternoons, as well as most evenings! I will try my best to make my schedule work for all types of different schedules! I will schedule my day around feeding, walking, playing, and a plenty of check ins throughout the day to make sure the pets are doing good! About: My grandfather was a veterinarian for 50 years. I fortunately got to grow up living with them & was able to see animals of all ages, shapes & sizes. I don’t think there was a day where I wasn’t with him at the office “helping” out (scooping poop and cleaning kennels). In my own adult life, i have 4 of my own animals who I treat better than myself 🤣 i love them to pieces and always do my best to ensure their needs are met. You can expect me to do the same for you! My 17 yr old man Tiger has some extra care needs so I am 100% comfortable with doing extra care needs for your animals. I’m a social worker that is able to make her schedule most weeks. I work from home a few days a week and am able to make a flexible schedule. You can trust me to provide for your animals as I provide for my own. I work for the State of Iowa & have passed a background check with no concern.

About: I trained both of my childhood dogs fun tricks. I am familiar with taking care of puppies up till senior dogs. I am comfortable with walks/bathroom trips (picking up feces if need be), feedings and medicine administration. I am a manager of a coffee shop, having a pretty flexible schedule to check on your fur baby when you need :) 🐾 Also, depending on location, I might not be available to do multiple check ins a day. I live on a first floor apartment, my kitties get a lot of enrichment from watching the birds outside. About: Let me introduce myself. I am Christina and the proud owner of a Yorkie named Maggie, American Eskimo dog named Dewey and a Morkie named Harley. I am home every evening and are pretty flexible with our work hours. Our dogs are very well socialized and spoiled. Maggie loves her toys, Dewey loves to run, and Harley loves to sleep. I am very patient and consistent with my dogs. I enjoy teaching them new tricks and keeping them stimulated. I have five children, ages 13 to 19, that may not all be at the house at the same time . The kids are very helpful with taking the dogs for walks, feeding them and playing with them outside or inside. We live in a clean, smoke free 5 bedroom home. We have a large area to run and play. We live on 8 acres and take the dogs for walks often. Our deck is the length of the house and the animals enjoy spending time sunning themselves or watching birds, deer, etc. I work full time, am usually home by 5:00 pm and off in the summer (June and July). My husband works sales and has a very flexible work schedule. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks and keeping them stimulated. About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.

About: I’ve taken care of family dogs since I was a kid and have 2 dogs of my own that I treat like my own children. I am a working professional in athletic development of athletes and love to take care of pets in need in the time that I am not coaching my athletes. My wife and I treat our dogs like children. We have a great fenced in back yard for them and take them on 2-3 45 minute walks per day :)
