I currently work full time from my home and have availability to drop in throughout the day for walks and to look after your animals. I love going for walks and playing with animals. About: Hey there! As the daughter of a veterinarian, growing up around animals was a given so I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and health statuses (if your pet needs any specific care). I also have two cats of my own! I look forward to meeting your pets! I currently work a full time day job, so my availability at the moment is mostly evening/weekend, but certain circumstances may allow for additional availability depending. About: Multiple employments at veterinary practices >8000 hours working and handling all sorts of pets, mostly cats, dogs and small mammals. Dog training experience as well, not certified and mostly with police K9s I work full time, but once a month I work from home so I can very flexible those weeks, however, able to sit after work and on weekends. I will work around the pets needs and why you allow the pet to do at home as well. Very flexible here with whatever is needed.

About: I have been a dog walker at the ARL for 3 years. I have also taken care of many teachers, friends, and neighbors pets. As well as taken care of my school pets! I have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, and many other pets! I work at a veterinary clinic and have kennel shifts a few times throughout the week in the morning and evening. I am also a college student so I have classes. Aside from that I am available and fully willing to work around whatever I need ! I am a deep lover of animals. I have loved animals all my life, and I decided to pursue this love by doing all kinds of volunteer work. I have worked at the ARL as a volunteer for 3 years. I am going into college for animal ecology, and eventually going into vet school to study proper care for animals. I do whatever I can to make my dogs, cats, and other pets at my house feel as loved as possible as well as safe. I hope to make your pet feel the same way.

About: I’ve been taking care of my dogs since high school and have taken care of family friends pets as well over the years. I love animals and I love taking care of them. I am currently on summer break from school, and trying to keep myself busy this summer with a job before I have to go back. About: I have always loved animals and caring for them. I grew up taking care of mostly dogs, but I have experience with other animals like cats, goats, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I love meeting new animals and helping care for them. I am currently a student at Iowa state but am available all day Tuesdays and Thursdays and weekends. I’m available in the afternoon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I cannot provide boarding because of the pets I have at home, but I can visit pets or stay overnight with them at their homes. I’ve stayed in ankeny overnight a few times but prefer to stay in Ames due to my classes being in the morning.

About: I have loved all animals for as long as I can remember. I take pet care very seriously, and want to do my best to provide great service to pets and owners alike! I work part time as a direct support professional, and I am currently only working evening shifts on Mondays and Thursdays. I would be available all day (about 7am - 11pm) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. As of right now, I will only be able to take care of pets in clients homes and take dogs for walks, but I have experience with many different dogs and cats and knowing boundaries/behavior signs.

About: I have over 2000 hours caring for shelter cats. I am the guardian of five cats. I'm comfortable around shy cats, kittens, old cats, all cats! I can administer simple medication if needed. I'm extremely patient and will take the time to let your cat get comfortable with me, or back away if your cat is stressed. I would love to play with your cat! I love cuddles! I love chillin' from a distance if that's what your cat needs. I'm a responsible adult and will follow the directions you leave for me. Your trip away from home will be worry-free in my care. I can also provide excellent care for small animals. Growing up I had a summer job caring for rabbits and a rabbit of my own who lived to be 12 years old! I also had a pet guinea pig named Oreo. I have flexible job hours and can work around your schedule. I have a car and am not afraid to drive in inclement weather conditions. With my own cats, I feed them twice per day and give them hours of cuddle time. My experience at animal shelters has given me a lot of experience approaching cats with different personality types.

About: I have owned a dog since I was 7, along with helped local families by watching their dogs while on vacation. Along with during college, helping a breeder with her pups and personal dogs ranging from 1 day old to 12 years old. I am currently working an internship 3 days a week. I am completely free on my days off with just trips to the gym and local coffee shops. I am willing to spends time playing with dogs and going for walks on my days off due to having an open schedule. I am comfortable coming to other houses to make sure their dogs stay less stressed and feel for comfortable in their surroundings. I take them for walks in the neighborhood on leashes.

About: Let me introduce myself. I am Christina and the proud owner of a Yorkie named Maggie, American Eskimo dog named Dewey and a Morkie named Harley. I am home every evening and are pretty flexible with our work hours. Our dogs are very well socialized and spoiled. Maggie loves her toys, Dewey loves to run, and Harley loves to sleep. I am very patient and consistent with my dogs. I enjoy teaching them new tricks and keeping them stimulated. I have five children, ages 13 to 19, that may not all be at the house at the same time . The kids are very helpful with taking the dogs for walks, feeding them and playing with them outside or inside. We live in a clean, smoke free 5 bedroom home. We have a large area to run and play. We live on 8 acres and take the dogs for walks often. Our deck is the length of the house and the animals enjoy spending time sunning themselves or watching birds, deer, etc. I work full time, am usually home by 5:00 pm and off in the summer (June and July). My husband works sales and has a very flexible work schedule. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks and keeping them stimulated. I have five children, ages 13 to 19, that may not all be at the house at the same time . About: Hi! My name is Allison, and I would love to care for your fur family member! I have grown up around dogs and have been the primary caretaker for our family pets. Not only have I cared for our family dogs (labs & golden retrievers), but I have also dog-sat and walked dogs for other family members and friends since I was 10 years old. I have experience with other animals as well. I am currently taking a summer college course (M-Th mornings) and have late morining though early evening availability. I have some weekend availability as well. I believe compassion, respect, and structure are the keys to keeping your pet safe. About: I have a 5 year old cattle lab mix who has a personality like no other. I have taken care of dogs my entire life. Whether that be family, friends, or neighbors. They have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and bathe their furry beasts. While I have lived with dogs my entire life I have recently (in the past 4 years) joined the cat family and am growing my knowledge on cats. I have taken care of dogs from the ages of 3 months to 18 years and am very familiar with puppy training (mostly potty training) and senior care (slow, medications, and weak hind end). I have worked with the friendliest of dogs and some with aggression issues that were slowly and correctly worked through. When someone trusts me with their animal I treat them as my own if not better. All pets deserve the most love, attention, and of course… treats!! I am a full time student at Iowa State and a part of the Equestrian Hunt Team. I have lots of free time that I would love to dedicate to checking in on your animals or giving them a chance to stretch their legs! I would provide the best care and work with the pet owner on the specifics to what applies to their pet the best. If needed I can provide a leash for walks!

During visits, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, whether that’s going on walks, playing with their favorite toys, or just keeping them company so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience working with dogs and cats of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m comfortable handling both high-energy dogs that need lots of activity as well as more relaxed or older dogs who prefer a slower pace. My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to accommodate your needs. I’m available for the majority of weekdays and most weekends!
