About: I've been pet-sitting around my neighborhood since I was 10, and grown up alongside dogs, cats, small rodents, and reptiles. I'm far from squeamish, and I love all creatures, even if they are grumpy, irritable, or messy. I volunteer at the ARL in Ankeny! I'm currently in school, but because I'm not taking a full schedule of classes, I can be around your pets multiple times over the school week every day. I have my own car, so I'm able to get where I need to easily. I don't do sports, so I'm free almost every day of the week, save for the occasional band event. My dog is a friendly older dog who is far from aggressive. She lives to sleep and sit in the sun, and is unbothered by even the most hyper of puppies. I do not have a fenced yard, but I love to walk pets, and will walk them in the morning, at night, or whenever they need it. I also have two cats who have mastered the art of avoiding new dogs when they are over. I can be high energy or low energy depending on what a dog needs, and love to stick to a schedule. The longer and more detailed the instructions, the better!

About: Growing up, I’ve cared for animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and love their pets. About: I've had dogs since the day I was born, and responsibly started taking care of them since I was around 10 years old. I've taken care of dogs from 8 weeks old to 16 years. As an adult, I've had 2 dogs and have cared for them in their crazy puppyhood to more gentle yet demanding senior care. As your dog sitter, I can provide enrichment via walks, playing, and basic tricks and skills you want me to work on with your dog. I can feed and refresh water bowls. I can help with medication if needed. I am happy to care for any of your pets' needs during a visit. I treat my all of my pets like my children and I am so excited to start caring for yours! I am a teacher currently on summer vacation. I am free to work during the week and some weekends from around 11-3 for drop in visits or walks. Once the school year starts back up, I may be available during holiday breaks and some weekends. Expect thorough reports and cute photos after a sitting or walk. As a regular user of Rover services myself, I know what I like and want from my sitters, so I will put that into my work. I will enter the home however is most comfortable with the client and lock the home back up when I leave. All walks will be leashed or contained in a stroller. I do not offer off-leash walks for the safety and liability of myself, your pet, and anyone we might encounter. If your pet is crated, I will crate them again when I leave. I will only enter spaces necessary for the care of the pet.

About: I have worked as a Supervisor at Wags Pet Resort and Hotel in Ankeny, IA for 5 years in October! I have worked with all different personalities, types, ages, sizes, and behavior of dogs. I have gained a lot of knowledge about dogs and the best ways to work with them based on their personalities and behaviors! I have experience with administering medication, baths, and caring for injuries. I would love to set up a meet and greet and understand your dog and your expectations of my visits! I am currently a Direct Support Professional and Personal Care Assistant in Iowa city! I also volunteer at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital! I have pretty open availability on the weekends and randomly throughout the weekdays! I will be as flexible as possible and willing to work with your schedule! I have a dog of my own so I understand what it takes to care for an animal inside a home. I would let your pet out multiple times during the day and stay outside and play with them to help wear their energy out. I think it is important for your pet to be outside and running around or just getting attention depending on their behavior and moods! Due to my experience I am able to see what a dog needs and wants based on their actions and I am willing to spend time with them multiple times throughout the day!

Growing up, my family always had dogs ranging from small to large breeds, so I’m comfortable with all sizes and personalities. About: I've been dropping in to aid family and friends with their dogs, cats, and other pets since I was in high school, and have been online doing general pet services for the last 3 or so years now. I myself have 3 cats and a snake. I have experience with giving cats eye medication, oral pills, medication mixed with treats/food, and creams. For dogs I've given creams and medication mixed with food/treats. I'm currently doing freelance work so my schedule is pretty flexible. Other than my own pet's schedule, I'm happy to find time for your pet's needs. I always make sure to check in with my clients to ensure they feel comfortable with me in their house. Things like where they're comfortable with me going and doing, where the pet(s) are allow to be, any routines that need to be done, and anything else they'd like to precaution or worry about.

About: I have a rescue dog and have worked with other rescues. I have experience in working with shy dogs who need a little more attention. I will love and take care of your pet like it’s my own! I have a golden retriever (Murphy) and a cat (Harlow) and I spend a lot of time with these cuties. I work full time but I love making time for the fur babies. I don’t have anything toxic for pets in my home that they could get into and I don’t feed my pets table scraps just in case.

About: I have had animals in my home since I was a child. I got my own puppy about 10 years ago and trained him to be a guard dog during my time as a missionary in west Africa. I love animals and treat them like family. I currently work remotely from home, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule when I’m not traveling. I am very attentive to the animals in my care! I currently don’t live in a home that allows pets, but I have had a lot of experience taking care of people’s pets and homes while they have been away.
