Heidi and her boys were very good to Ella. They stopped in for a meet and greet right away, sent lots of pics and were very considerate. Highly recommended!

About: Growing up, I’ve cared for animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and love their pets. I truly love all animals and enjoy staying active, so whether your dog needs a long walk, run, or extra playtime, I’m happy to help! As a full-time teacher, my availability is limited during the school year. However, I am primarily looking to provide pet care during the summer months when I have a very open and flexible schedule. Throughout the summer, I am available most days and accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I will follow each pets routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide.

About: I have been around animals all throughout my life. I am recently new to the rover community and looking to get a step in the door. I am comfortable around any sort of animal and am willing to adapt and learn as I go. I am currently a student but have a lot of free time on my hands! I love to go on walks and would love to take your fur baby outside! I have a fenced in backyard and a friendly dog that loves to play. I take my dog on daily walks and am qualified to give her oral medication daily. She gets lots of pets and pup cups to know she feels loved.

About: All my life i’ve been caring for family pets but within the last few years I have done walks, drop in’s, overnights, and feedings for friends and family (dogs and cats) I have worked with dogs from puppies to seniors and can give tailored care to your animal’s specific needs. I also have lots of experience with cats, I have four myself and love being around them!! I have had practice giving medication to pups orally so can also help with that if need be!! I’m currently not working another job so my schedule is extremely flexible!! I rarely have other commitments so chances are i’ll be available if you need a sitter for your furry friends!! I am unavailable from 4-5 on weekday evenings. Safety is extremely important to me, i’ve definitely been called an over worrier but in my opinion safe is always better than sorry. Keeping my own animals safe and happy is and always has been one of my number one priorities and I promise to treat your pets with the exact same level of care. Making sure they have all their necessities and that anything dangerous or off limits is out of reach or put away is another things that’s very important to me because I know how much our furry friends love to get into things. Home safety is big as well, things like ensuring doors are locked and setting alarms if they are available so you know your pets and your home are being taken care of.

About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

About: As a dog mama myself, I understand that our dogs are more than just our pets. They’re an integral part of our family! I strive to provide them with the necessary care they need, but also the enrichment they need to thrive and live a happy life. I love to play with them, take them out for walks, and provide them with love and pets. It’s important to me that they are not just physically cared for, but they are mentally stimulated through play and emotionally cared for at every visit. I'm always mindful that all pets should be greeted with a slow introduction, that does not come off as intrusive, or threatening. Even the most social pets, can behave differently when an unfamiliar person enters their home while family is not present. I always take that into consideration upon each visit, as I get to know your dog/cat, and build a trusting relationship. Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet". Requested information about your pet -Medication schedule -Behavioral issues that may affect walking your pet on public sidewalks, history of biting or aggression while being fed. -Ongoing medical conditions -Vet number and/or emergency contact I currently work on a hybrid schedule - 3 days in West Des Moines and 2 days at home in Ankeny. I have a flexible schedule where I can pop around to your pet when needed. I have a heart for animals along with the patience needed to give quality pet care. Your pet will always come first and I would treat them as if they are my own.

Jessica was great! She took time out of her night to come visit Koda the night before she walked him and see how they did with each other! She was also a great walker and was willing to just hang out with him outside of his kennel and play with his toys! We will definitely be going back to Jessica again!

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages and personalities. I currently have an 8-year-old teddy bear dog of my own, so I understand the importance of routine, patience, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for every day. I also regularly care for my sister’s 2-year-old German Shepard while she’s at work, which has given me experience managing a more energetic, younger dog and balancing different needs at the same time. My other sister has 2 cats that I care for while she’s away so I am very comfortable will all animals. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve provided pet sitting services for friends and neighbors. This has helped me become reliable, adaptable, and attentive to each pet’s unique routine, whether that includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or just making sure they feel safe while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and focus on creating a calm, safe, and positive environment so both pets and owners feel confident and at ease. I currently work part time helping children with autism learn basic life skills. So I have plenty of time to give lots of attention and care to every pet you have. I care daily for 2 dogs and occasionally for 2 cats. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize safety, trust, and maintaining a comfortable environment at all times. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision, so I take that responsibility seriously. I respect your home as if it were my own—keeping it clean, secure, and following any specific instructions you provide. I make sure doors are locked, routines are followed closely, and your pet stays in a safe, familiar environment that helps reduce stress while you’re away. Your pet’s well-being is always my top priority. I pay close attention to their behavior, energy levels, and any signs that something may be off. Whether it’s sticking to feeding schedules, ensuring safe walks, or providing a calm space for rest, I focus on creating a consistent and secure experience. You can expect clear communication and updates while you’re away, so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: Animal lover and owner for 15+ years, with experience caring for dogs, cats, snakes, and a crested gecko. I genuinely love caring for pets, whether they’re mine or yours! I’m always happy to help keep them safe, loved, and well cared for As a stay-at-home mom, my schedule is naturally flexible, which allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I love being able to use that flexibility to help care for other families’ pets whenever they need it. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space and your animals with the same respect and attention I give my own. I follow all routines closely, provide plenty of love and supervision, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment.

About: Throughout high school, I was asked to dog sit many times whether it was for coworkers, friends, family, or people who knew me from a friend! I'm used to taking dogs on walks and caring for them in their homes. We have always had a dog in the house as well, so I'm familiar with the needs that have to be fulfilled for dogs! I am a college student and taking classes at DMACC. Since I only attend one in-person class, I figured I'd like to get out of the house some way by dog sitting/walking! I have a job at a restaurant that I work at for 3 days a week, but I wanted to find another way to keep myself busy until I transfer to a university this fall. In the past, I have always gone to a client's house to care for their dog or dog walk. I live in an apartment and wouldn't be allowed to have and care for pets in my home.
