About: My experience in the dog industry goes beyond just boarding or sitting. I have the knowledge, skills, and experience training dogs of all ages and breeds, including service dogs. I currently work part time teaching group classes, leaving quite a bit of my time available to do other things involving dogs. In addition to a safe and friendly place to stay, your dog will get daily enrichment activities and, if needed, house manners training (go to place, leave it, keeping all 4 paws on the floor, going in/out of doorways). I work part-time training group classes, which allows me to have the time needed to care for the dogs staying with me. I'm available for boarding during the week, weekends, most holidays, single overnights and extended stays. My availability for day time sitting can vary but my calendar will always be updated with those times. All interactions between dogs are supervised to ensure those interactions are a positive experience and a safe experience. I don't have a fenced in yard so each time going outside is on leash, so leash manners will be worked on. I have crates and exercise pens for dogs who get crated at night. During meal times dogs are separated from each other as a precaution to prevent resource guarding. I do have a "gated community" inside my house to prevent mischief in the kitchen or going upstairs to bedrooms.

About: I have been the main caretaker of any animal I’ve ever had, some because I was the one who begged for it. And others because I just love animals so much that their care is only half the fun. I have experience with animals in all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. My puppy experience ranges from being the one who nursing a parvo puppy back to excellent health, she is now 3 years old and thriving. I also have a senior dog, who is such a joy but I think he forgets he has arthritis with all of his puppy antics. I also have a lot experience with teaching many tricks so don’t be surprised if your animal learns something new every time they see me! I work from home and have only two courses a day, so I have a lot of time on my hands to do a good pet care routine. My babies (my cats and hermit crabs) are on a routine or rather I am. We do feedings in the morning and have an hour of down time for everyone to “stretch” their legs before I go to class. I’m away for 3 hours before I’m back and during that time I can walk a dog if one is staying. And then I work from home so pretty much I’m at the animals beck and call whenever they need anything. I am in an apartment which lessens the risk of anything happening to your pet on my watch! Also with living in an apartment by campus we can always go for walks and meet some college students wanting some animal love!

She was absolutely amazing—flexible with scheduling and willing to drive over even when the roads were still messy from snow (the most difficult part of our drive for us that day wasnt i35 country. It was i35 city) and it was freezing outside. That alone meant so much to us. Our dog can act like a spoiled, slightly naughty princess, and definitely knows how to test people who aren’t confident with dogs. "Oh look, there are other dogs and you're not my Mom so I can bark at them and not listen to you!" But with Nejra, it was a completely different story—our dog listened, respected her, and clearly felt comfortable. That made me so happy. My pup is a covid dog. Born during covid, she never got that full interaction with people. She was a little shy at first, but warmed up to Nejra right away!! It’s obvious she’s experienced, confident, and genuinely great with dogs. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such good hands.
