About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs. My corgi, Vinnie, had back and hip issues later in life, which taught me the importance of attentive and compassionate care. Growing up with labs and sharing nearly 10 wonderful years with Vinnie, I’ve developed a deep love for dogs. Over the past 20 years, I’ve helped friends and family care for their pets, always treating each animal like part of the family. I prioritize providing personalized, one-on-one care, and only in rare cases will I care for more than one dog or one family’s pets at a time. My volunteer work with the ARL has also given me valuable experience with a variety of breeds and unique needs. I work from home and can care for your pet throughout the day. I am willing to do long and short walks, or just play with your pet! Playing, cuddles, walks, potty breaks, whatever they need! I am very good at recognizing the tells for various dogs. I can usually tell when they need to go outside, need water, or are anxious. I will adjust to what the dogs need and am a very open communicator. My house is clean and safe for pets. I do have stairs in my home, but am willing to work with dogs who need additional support.

About: As a dog mama myself, I understand that our dogs are more than just our pets. They’re an integral part of our family! I strive to provide them with the necessary care they need, but also the enrichment they need to thrive and live a happy life. I love to play with them, take them out for walks, and provide them with love and pets. I'm always mindful that all pets should be greeted with a slow introduction, that does not come off as intrusive, or threatening. Even the most social pets, can behave differently when an unfamiliar person enters their home while family is not present. I always take that into consideration upon each visit, as I get to know your dog/cat, and build a trusting relationship. Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet". I have a flexible schedule where I can pop around to your pet when needed. I have a heart for animals along with the patience needed to give quality pet care. Your pet will always come first and I would treat them as if they are my own.

About: I have worked as a Supervisor at Wags Pet Resort and Hotel in Ankeny, IA for 5 years in October! I have worked with all different personalities, types, ages, sizes, and behavior of dogs. I have gained a lot of knowledge about dogs and the best ways to work with them based on their personalities and behaviors! I have experience with administering medication, baths, and caring for injuries. I would love to set up a meet and greet and understand your dog and your expectations of my visits! I am currently a Direct Support Professional and Personal Care Assistant in Iowa city! I also volunteer at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital! About: I've had dogs since the day I was born, and responsibly started taking care of them since I was around 10 years old. I've taken care of dogs from 8 weeks old to 16 years. As an adult, I've had 2 dogs and have cared for them in their crazy puppyhood to more gentle yet demanding senior care. As your dog sitter, I can provide enrichment via walks, playing, and basic tricks and skills you want me to work on with your dog. I can feed and refresh water bowls. I can help with medication if needed. I am happy to care for any of your pets' needs during a visit. I treat my all of my pets like my children and I am so excited to start caring for yours! I am a teacher currently on summer vacation. I am free to work during the week and some weekends from around 11-3 for drop in visits or walks. Once the school year starts back up, I may be available during holiday breaks and some weekends. Expect thorough reports and cute photos after a sitting or walk. As a regular user of Rover services myself, I know what I like and want from my sitters, so I will put that into my work. I will enter the home however is most comfortable with the client and lock the home back up when I leave. All walks will be leashed or contained in a stroller. I do not offer off-leash walks for the safety and liability of myself, your pet, and anyone we might encounter. If your pet is crated, I will crate them again when I leave. I will only enter spaces necessary for the care of the pet.

About: I have been caring for animals since I was a little girl. In 2007 I started working in doggy daycare and then started pet sitting and dog walking. In 2019 I became a dog trainer. I work as a vet teach I am flexible with my schedule. I do house sitting on weekends. I can do some weekdays we just have to work it out. I can open to dog walks and drop ins 24/7. When I come to your place I would make sure your fur baby in comfortable and have as much fun as you would with them.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. I’ve worked with highly trained dogs, and will honor any and all training your dogs follows.

About: My family has had pets my whole life, and I spent a lot of time taking care of them. I’ve always had an ability to connect with animals of all sizes (and attitudes)! One of my strongest suits when meeting a new cat or dog is to evaluate and understand their own specific body language. They can tell us what they need, we just have to listen! I know some pets take a little longer to feel comfortable around a new human, and I always give them the space and patience that they need. I work during the day at a school, so I’m mostly free outside of school hours. I am also off work during school holidays. I do have some evening and weekend activities, but I still have plenty of time to take care of pets. Routines are very important for animals, so I will do what is needed to keep those routines in place and make them feel happy in their own home. As long as I know what the expectations are, we are good to go!

About: Interacting with animals has always been the highlight of my day. I have a decade of professional experience with pet care, primarily dogs and cats, but small animals and exotics as well. I have a beloved senior dog and a giant day gecko at home, but I grew up around a large range of animals, including dogs, birds, lizards, frogs, rodents and sugar gliders. About: As a dog (and animal) lover with experience as a dog-foster mom, animal rescue volunteer, I will provide your precious pup with loving care. We lost our wonderful 15-year-old Boxer in October 2025 and after many years of having a 'home dog' as my daughter called Bristol, we are solely getting our cuddles and pets now from our pup guests. I'm looking forward to making your pup feel as 'at home' as can be while you are away. My experience with dogs in shelters, dog sitting for friends/neighbors, and being a dog mom for 20+ years to my sweet girls (Samantha, Briley & Bristol), in addition to being raised in a family that adored dogs, leaves me with a soft spot for each and every furry, 4-legged pooch. My Rover journey loosely started in 2018, but I was actively fostering dogs through Underdog MN in Minneapolis and didn't have the space to also take on Rover clients. Then, there was the series of events: pandemic, welcomed a daughter, and moved to Iowa. I started providing care through Rover in late 2024 and it has been so rewarding and fun. We have really enjoyed getting to know our repeat guests and my daughter and I talk about our newfound dog friends even while they aren't with us, hoping we can see them again. Safety first! Often, there will be two dog guests at one time, while always being mindful of temperaments and preferences of each dog. Occasionally, during busy times there may be 3 pups visiting, especially in brief overlaps of drop-offs and pick-ups. While dogs can have the run of the house, they are supervised and dogs from different homes are not left alone together while I'm away, which typically is for relatively brief periods of time to do a drop-off/pick-up or errand. Dogs are also fed separately in their own areas for safety. If your pup is more of a grazer (as our Bristol was), I may have to offer the food periodically throughout the day when another pup guest is present making sure it's available when they are wanting it but not leaving it out throughout the day. I know the importance of having strong communication and trust in those who are caring for your dog and hope to meet your pet very soon! I have the benefit of working remotely and enjoy taking time throughout the day to provide pet care. My schedule is flexible and I can adjust according to what's needed to allow pups to spend time outdoors or take walks. I have a fenced-in and very spacious backyard! I follow all safety instructions from each family to ensure animals stay safe and are always supervised. In addition to yard safety, effective March 2026, I have started a kennel cough protocol. Fortunately, there have been no known cases (asymptomatic or symptomatic) but after learning recently that droplets can remain in the air for up to 2 weeks, I've incorporated an extra cleaning step after each dog visit to have an extra layer of disinfectant and would also like to ask each family to share info on updated shots for Bordetella which is required yearly, but more ideally if dogs will be in social settings is ideal every 6 months. If you'd like to share a screenshot over the app or bring along the forms, it will be great to confirm the safety of your dog and minimize any risk to the next guest. In the same records should be the current Rabies and Distemper/Parvovirus (DHPP or DAPP) as well.

About: Hi there! I’m Austin. I have two cats that are the center of my world. I know how stressful it can be finding a sitter that you trust to give them the best care while you are away. I promise to care for your pets as my own and provide a ton of photos! I work Full-Time Monday-Friday. My hours are typically 8-5 so I am available before work and after work. Weekends are usually free so I am flexible. It depends on the needs of the pet/ owner but my promise is to keep both you and your pet happy! I know what it’s like to miss them!
