About: New to Rover, not new to pet care. My golden retriever Annabelle has trained me well. I know the drill: the zoomies that need burning off, the "I definitely didn't just eat" stare, the way every dog thinks their routine is sacred (it is). I've also got two guinea pigs, Mimzy and Pip, so I'm no stranger to smaller, more delicate care too, if that's ever part of the mix. I care for pets of all shapes, sizes, and species. About: Feeding, watering, and exercising your four-legged family members is the easy part. My priority is making sure your furry friends feel loved and special while you’re not able to be there. I know the stress and worry of having to be away and hoping your pet is being well-cared for. I am there to ease your mind and to make it less stressful for you and your pet. I am an expert cat and dog snuggler and have been known to be a cat whisperer for those felines that don’t warm up easily. Although I am new to this platform, I am not new to taking care of pets. About: Hiii my name is Xochil, I am 26 years old, new to Rover, and am a fellow pet parent with 2 spoiled kitties and a bearded dragon of my own. I have years of pet sitting experience under my belt including professional pet care at a vet clinic and boarding facility. Along with growing up in a house full of a variety of different animals has made me a natural caregiver for most, if not all pets! Having the hands on experience with all sorts of breeds and temperaments, you can be assured your pet will be safe with me. If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s the understanding that each and every pet is different and one approach might not work for all, instead adjusting to each of your pets’ unique needs. As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it is to find someone to care for your babies when you're away so I am very flexible and understanding to any requests that may make you feel more comfortable- nothings off the table so please ask away! I look forward to hearing for you. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of availability for your fur babies! At this time, I do not provide in home boarding. I am good at monitoring stools and eating habits, always on the look out for any concerns. I am very weary of entering and exiting homes so pets can not slip out. Outside of the house, I am extra alert for off-leash dogs and other wildlife that may pose issues. If a problem arises with another dog, I know methods of separation and carry dog deterrent spray. I’m always present and in tune with their body language to make sure they’re comfortable and not showing any signs of distress or possible health concerns. The communication line is always open and you will receive plenty of photos with each visit so you can know for certain everything is looking okay. When I’m with your pet, it’s all about your pet and only your pet! I will never do something you have not listed in your instructions- the more in depth the instructions, the better!

About: Hi! I'm Ross, I grew up having Labrador Retrievers as family pets and have always had a strong love of dogs. I like all dogs, big or small! I'm great at responding to a pets needs. I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! Working from home gives me extra flexibilty to give the pups extra attention when they need it. Regardless of the setting I am able to follow the guidelines that you have set up for your pet. I look forward to getting to know your dogs!!

About: I've had cats my entire life, and my husband and I currently have two amazing but SUPER high energy little kitties named Eli and Finn. We are very obsessed, and they're spoiled! I have grown up in a very close, tight-knit family with LOTS of dogs and cats, and I've pet-sat more times than I can count. I LOVE animals and they tend to like me as well. I have experience with feeding, medicine, walking, vet visits, picking up animals from pet hotels, etc. I pet sit, house sit, and babysit for a lot of my family and friends, have been a nanny to my godson who has medical complications, and am well-trusted. My husband and I are going through fertility treatments, and the profit from my pet-sitting business will be supporting us in building our family! About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. I’ve worked with highly trained dogs, and will honor any and all training your dogs follows.

About: I’ve had for dogs of every age and size for my entire life, but have been a serious caretaker of them for about 10 years. I can give medicines including insulin shots, and will heed every dietary and exercise need given to me. I’m currently working full-time, however I commute from Ames to Des Moines every day so I am used to driving long distances. I also have a very flexible schedule and can work from home if I can give at least 2-3 days notice; I can leave for long periods at lunch; and I can get off work early if a drop-in visit is needed before 4:00. I can also stay as late as necessary into the evening, as long as expectations are communicated beforehand. I am extremely communicative and I will let my clients know if I am early, behind, or unable to complete a task. I cannot take pets into my apartment or workplace, however, I have experience with strictly and loosely trained animals in just about every situation under the sun. I am comfortable staying the night in a well secured home, or taking a few minutes to play with the pet(s) in the middle of the day. I am extremely clean and organized and will strive to leave my clients’ homes in the same shape or cleaner in case there are any accidents, as I am also well-versed in cleaning up after any mishaps from being left alone or too excited.

About: I’ve always been around cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve mastered the process of giving medications. I’ve volunteered in a shelter some years ago and I learned a lot while I was there. I’ve trained all of my current and past pets and even helped some friends with theirs. I craft my own pet food in my kitchen to ensure all nutrients are available to them. I take pet health to a very serious level! Currently, I’m just in school So I have plenty of time. I’m available Mon- sun at 10am, 3pm, and anytime after 5pm! Friday is the only day that I’m available at 11am rather than 10am but I’m free for the day after 11am. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. I take time to learn their personality, feeding schedule, litter habits, and any specific needs before caring for them. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure everything is left clean and secure. I’m also attentive to doors, windows, plants, and anything else a curious pet could get into. I give pets plenty of attention and playtime while also respecting them when they need space. If they need medication or any extra care, I’m comfortable handling that as well.

About: As a dog mama myself, I understand that our dogs are more than just our pets. They’re an integral part of our family! I strive to provide them with the necessary care they need, but also the enrichment they need to thrive and live a happy life. I love to play with them, take them out for walks, and provide them with love and pets. It’s important to me that they are not just physically cared for, but they are mentally stimulated through play and emotionally cared for at every visit. I'm always mindful that all pets should be greeted with a slow introduction, that does not come off as intrusive, or threatening. Even the most social pets, can behave differently when an unfamiliar person enters their home while family is not present. I always take that into consideration upon each visit, as I get to know your dog/cat, and build a trusting relationship. Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet". About: I have lots of experience working with dogs with Thyroid disorders, joint problems, hip problems, diabetes, and special diets. I'm very flexible. All you have to do is ask and we'll see. I've had Chocolate Labs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Poodles, Terriers, and Shih Tzus. I love animals especially puppies and dogs. I am also willing to watch your cats if you also have them. I wanted to be a veterinarian or veterinary assistant but I didn't quite have the grades for it so that's why I decided to become a dog sitter, a dog walker, pet care taker, dog lover, and pet lover.
