About: Hi! I'm Ross, I grew up having Labrador Retrievers as family pets and have always had a strong love of dogs. I like all dogs, big or small! I'm great at responding to a pets needs. I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! Working from home gives me extra flexibilty to give the pups extra attention when they need it. Regardless of the setting I am able to follow the guidelines that you have set up for your pet. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have always had a passion for caring for them. Growing up, my family had two Saint Bernards and a Yellow Labrador, which gave me experience with large breeds from an early age. Today, I share my home with an English Springer Spaniel, a Throwback Pomeranian, and a couple of reptiles, so I’m comfortable caring for a variety of animals and personalities. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve been pet sitting for the past six years for friends and family. I understand that every pet is unique, and I strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or sticking to their normal routine, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I have a flexible schedule and am currently available early mornings, afternoons, and evenings. About: I have lots of experience working with dogs with Thyroid disorders, joint problems, hip problems, diabetes, and special diets. I'm very flexible. All you have to do is ask and we'll see. I've had Chocolate Labs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Poodles, Terriers, and Shih Tzus. I love animals especially puppies and dogs. I am also willing to watch your cats if you also have them. I wanted to be a veterinarian or veterinary assistant but I didn't quite have the grades for it so that's why I decided to become a dog sitter, a dog walker, pet care taker, dog lover, and pet lover. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. I’ve worked with highly trained dogs, and will honor any and all training your dogs follows.

Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet".
