“Jessica treats my pup great, he seems so happy when she comes for check ins! She always sends pictures and communicates how the visit went. I highly recommend her!”

“Nejra was very responsive to my messages. She kept me well informed on how my cat was doing while I was away and the daily photos gave me piece of mind that she was doing well while I was away. I'd definitely book her services again.”

“Thank you for watching my princess while I was on my vacation. Because she is shy around strangers, it was such a relief to see her trust you and become more comfortable with you each day”

“Ashley was wonderful with Rocky and very dependable. She not only took care of Rocky’s needs, she played with him and made sure he was not feeling lonely. She was excellent about communicating with us. This service is so helpful.”

“Alishea is so good with my pup! He is young and still a bit skiddish with new people. She is kind and patient with him and is so consistent - which he needs. Thank you for everything, Alishea!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better drop-in sitter for my cats. She truly went above and beyond, especially for my oldest cat who had matted fur. After asking for permission, she removed the matted areas and educated me on maintenance. I can tell how much she loves cats and how knowledgeable she is about them. I am so glad I found Rover and Sara.”

“Emily was awesome! She sent cute pictures and was very communicative. If there was anything she was unsure of she was not afraid to ask. I’m very pleased with my experience using Rover and I’m so glad I found Emily!”

“Christina is truly caring and patient with our cat Spaghettio. She was so kind and made even such a shy cat warm up to her right away. She replies right away and always has your pets interest in mind. I highly recommend Christina!”

“Troy was awesome with Asher!! Left very detailed feedback, and got him some much needed exercise during the day while I'm gone. Asher was very tired after, which is the goal! I have no complaints and would recommend to anyone looking to supplement some socialization and exercise for their pets.”

About: I have spent much of my life taking care of different animals. I grew up on a farm handling chores for animals of all kinds from horses to dogs and cats. I currently have a 3 year old Maine Coon cat named Boston! I currently work mornings, typically 7-3 M-F. My hours vary depending on the week and what I am busy with at work. I work shifts on weekends and nights when needed I have a yard for your pet to run around in and play. I do have 3 other pets in my home that are properly vaccinated and friendly!
About: I’ve been caring for pets for family and friends for much of my life and am excited to bring those skills to Rover. I have owned my own dog for 6 years now and have learned a ton about having a dog that requires boundaries and maintenance for triggers of his reactivity. I’ve learned patience and am happy to do that for your furry friends as well! I work from home on Mondays and Fridays which gives me the flexibility to leave for drop-in visits throughout the day and after work! Tuesday-Thursdays can also be arranged if your home is near my office - contact me for details! While I’m unable to care for others’ pets in my own home since my pup prefers human friends, I will care for your pet in any way you need in your own home. I prefer homes where I can let your pet out into a fenced yard but am happy to take pets out on a leash if they are leash trained and/or you prepare me for their behavior.
“Emily was thorough and attentive while watching our two cats for the weekend. She checked in with us and sent photos for each visit, and even accommodated some specific medication needs for our older cat, Sweet Pea. We loved the attention she gave and felt very comfortable leaving our pets in her hands. We will definitely be reaching back out to her for future travel needs!”

“She did a fantastic job with the dogs. The last sitter I found on Rover pretended to let the dogs out and my puppy almost died. That was years ago, but I was very nervous about using the service again. I would definitely recommend her and will rebook with her in the future.”

The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Grimes is $18
Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Grimes
Madison did a really great job with my two timid cats. We had just had some floor work done on the house the day before our trip, and Madison did a great job of making them feel comfortable and keeping them on schedule. Both kitties usually don’t come out when company is over, so I wasn’t expecting any pictures or anything aside from updates on their feeding times. Instead, I received several lovely pictures of them playing and looking completely relaxed in her company! She also did a great job staying on top of the litter and keeping everything neat and tidy. I will definitely try to book her again the next time I’m traveling and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great cat sitter!

Lynsey is amazing! 11/10 recommend her as a sitter - she will take good care of your fur baby! I have been lucky to be her client a few times now, and I will certainly continue to request her first when I am out of town and need a sitter to take care of my cats!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grimes. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
