About: I love dedicating time to pets giving them care, love and fun time. I want to give them the comfort of a warm, attentive and loving presence. I am a stay-at-home student and among other personal activities, I am able to dedicate myself full-time to this service both weekdays and weekends, day and night. I live with my husband and my 14-year-old stepson and we are all pet lovers! Although we may all enjoy the companionship of your pet(s), you can have peace of mind that pet(s) will be cared for 100% by me! I live in an apartment building with lots of comfortable space, safe, with windows screens. There is a dog park in the premises, there are many trails around that we can walk and have fun. Our view is to a beautiful green area where many birds come around to hang out and sing.

About: I have always been an animal lover, talking care of my own dog while helping friends, family members, or neighbors with their furry family members! I have owned 3 dogs total (two labs and now have my Great Pyrenees mix, Minnie🫶 who lives with my parents) but have also fostered 7 different dogs so have vast experience with different dog breeds, behavior patterns, and play styles! I would love to spend some time and help out with you and your pet:) I am a current masters student so my schedule varies but most school days are just a few hours in the morning or afternoon. I love to be active and would love to take your dog with me whether that’s on a run/walk or maybe the dog park! I treat my dogs like family and would love to do the same for you. About: Ive grown up with various types of dogs my whole life, ranging from chihuahuas to Rottweilers. During my senior year I completed a 150 hour internship at animal care clinic west and metro where I handled various breeds of cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments. From that I learned many different skills like animal handling and how to notice when a cat or dog is in distress. Not only that but I have volunteered at Furry Friend Refuge and have experience with rescue cats. I am comfortable walking, feeding, playing with, and caring for pets with different energy levels and needs.I I recently have been around indoor and outdoor farm cats these past couple of years and have become very comfortable with them and know how to take care of them. Currently my oldest dog who is a Rottie and 11 was born with hip dysplasia, meaning I am able to handle big dog with disabilities. I am currently a college student at the university as a biology major on the pre veterinary tract. I am currently on summer break so my availability is pretty open day to day. I will be baby sitting part time from Tuesday to Thursdays from 8am-4pm. When I am not doing babysitting, I am available all day and after 4pm the days I do babysit. I care for pets in my home by making sure they stay on a consistent routine with feeding, fresh water, exercise, bathroom breaks, and attention. I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, especially with older pets or pets with medical needs. Since my oldest Rottweiler has hip dysplasia, I understand the importance of patience, gentle handling, and monitoring animals carefully. I also make sure pets have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

About: Hey there! I’m Rachel and I’ve had a family dog for as long as I can remember. But now I have a family of my own- my partner and I have 4 kids and a mini zoo with 1 bunny, 2 ball pythons, 1 bearded dragon, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 6 mourning geckos and 6 aquariums with fish, snails, dwarf crayfish and shrimp. So, I have a lot of experience with a wide range of animals. Since I’ve started pet sitting on Rover I’ve also gained experience with raw feeding cats and dogs, chicken wrangling, mini home repairs, tree moving, raspberry picking and goose whispering. I used to volunteer every day at the local animal shelter while I was in highschool where I got tons of experience with all types of dogs and frequently helped out the neighbors with their escape artist husky! I previously worked as an assistant dog trainer. I’ve gotten tons of experience with how to better read animal’s body language, create and maintained presence control and facilitate healthy play. While most of my experience is with dogs, I am a true animal lover. One of the biggest perks of having me as your sitter is that our whole family helps take part. My 15 year old, Bella, is usually heavily involved in the care of the animals we sit. My other 3 younger kids also absolute love to take care of and play with all the animals. If your pets like to hang out and play with kids, get attention all day long… your pets are in for a treat with us! (For boarding) We truly strive to give dogs a home-away-from-home experience where they just jump right into our routine. Most of the time they end up sleeping in bed with one of our kids, playing with us outside, getting loves on the couch- all the stuff a family dog can expect. We stand proudly in our family beliefs of qualify pet care and don’t want to be a boarding spot where they put your animal in a kennel, let them out twice a day and charge you extra for playtime or potty breaks. We do generally keep our own dogs separated from our rover dogs just for everyone’s safety and ease. For repeat dog clients that we know well & think would play well with our dogs, we do let them play together. We have a neighbor who lets us use their fenced in quarter acre yard so we do a little meet and greet there in neutral territory. (For pet sitting at home): We do come and go more often when we are sitting pets at their own home but we still make it a family affair. We make sure to drop-in frequently to check on them, feed them, let them out and play with them! Bella loves to hang out with our pet clients and play with them. Sometimes I bring a different kiddo to stay the night with me each night so that they all get a chance to give individual attention to the animals we are watching. We also watch over the house and property. At one pet sit, there was a storm that ran through and a massive branch broke into the pet parent’s driveway, front yard, sidewalk and street! After we notified the owners, Bella and I got it moved out of the way of the street and sidewalk so the pet parents didn’t have to worry about it until they got home. We understand that pet sitting is more than just watching the pets at home and we like to provide a holistic approach. My wife, Leigh also cleans and manages houses when she isn’t at home with our kids. She was the manager and trainer at a locally owned high-end home management company for many years. If you want your house cleaned or you have an organizational project you want completed while you’re gone, let me know! Leigh would be happy to chat with you, figure out what you’re wanting accomplished and get it done while you’re gone. She’s got a plethora of clients who continue to be impressed with her work and ask her to come back as proof of a job well done- so it’s not just my (possibly biased) opinion. 😉 WINTER UPDATE : I have carefully curated my locational availability to be where I am comfortable taking care of pets. I do still accept clients outside of that area if we can manage it BUT I do plan to charge an additional $10+ for clients who are outside of our Rover limit to account for extra gas & travel time. Winter adds extra stress with the extra hazards of driving on snowy and icy roads and the extra time of scraping my vehicle off, driving slower, etc. Please keep in mind with any pet sitter (for house sitting or boarding in particular) that you are literally paying them to be working & on-call, driving to and from your home for many hours & compare that to what you expect from an hourly job. 🤍 I try to keep my prices as reasonable as I can while also respecting and protecting myself. I work as a school bus driver primarily so it leaves my summer & most major holidays pretty open! When I am at work my wife is usually home with some or all of the kids, so even when I’m busy- we have the ability to care for pets. I am pretty flexible but my main priority is making sure I am respectful of your space as much as I would want someone to be respectful of mine. Taking photos and communicating heavily with pet parents is top priority for me. If you wish to have less communication, just let me know so I don’t send too many cute pictures of your pets! I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself. We have a very large unfenced yard. We do not use any pesticides on our yard to protect the environment and animals of all kinds. 🌎🐝🦋 In the warm months, you’ll see lots of native plants, wildflowers and butterflies in our yard as a result. Please note: While we welcome pets of all kinds, we do not allow pet parents into our home. We want to make sure we are protecting the privacy and security of our children and their space. Also: we have 4 kids (see: mini-zoo reference above) it can be a mess up in here sometimes! 🤣

About: Born and raised a dog lover! I’ve have 5 dogs throughout my life that I have loved so dearly. I’ve grown up taking care of my friend’s dogs in HS and college. I love to go on walks, so why not bring your pup with me! I unfortunately do not have my own dog at this time with my significant other, but I hope to get one soon! I am a teacher who is taking a small step back in education to focus on my health. I know your dogs will help me A LOT during this transition, and they will be under great care.
