I am recently retired and have some on-going activities and appointments, but I also have quite a bit of freedom to determine my own schedule and be flexible. I have time and availability for daily visits, dog walking, or even in your household for overnight care.

Please let me know more about your pets better. When are their mealtimes and exactly what do you feed them for each meal? Where do they like to sleep and how? How do they usually spend their day? Inside? Outside? Sleeping? Playing? What do they enjoy doing the most? Do they have any naughty or unacceptable behaviors? What do I need to do to become friends with your pet(s)? I require a Meet and Greet to help facilitate this process.
A typical day
Like with people, I think pets need a variety of activities on a daily basis that stimulate them both physically and mentally. And each animal is unique. I like to check in with each owner to find out what kind of activities their pet enjoys, be it a brisk walk, a trip to the dog park (if your pet is a dog!), a game of throw and retrieve, playing with their favorite toys, tug of war, or even a swim. Then as I get to know your pet better, it might be time to introduce some new activities. Sometimes introducing a new type of play or exercise will stimulate an animal mentally. But some pets are more comfortable with routine. It's all about getting to know your pet as an individual and keeping them active and healthy.

Pet care experience
I have taken care of my own and other's cats and dogs for years, from feeding, to exercising and of course plenty of clean up occasions. Not only have I managed a family home with both cats and dogs, but I also showed one of my dogs for AKC confirmation and graduated with another one of my dogs from obedience classes. I bottle fed two of my cats when they were infants and have cared for both cats and dogs into their senior, twilight years. I even cared for one of my senior dogs after she became deaf and blind. Just recently I helped usher my beloved 15-year-old cat across the rainbow. She was the last of my own pets. I have experience with dispensing oral medications and insulin shots to cats and dogs from very young pets as well as aging ones. In my professional life I was very organized, detailed oriented and practiced great communication skills. I will bring all this experience to the care and feeding of your beloved animals. I've experienced so much with my own and other folks’ pets, but now my two dogs and two-cat-household is feeling a little empty. So please let me offer my heart and hands to care for your dear fur babies.

We were truly lucky to have Dawn as our cat sitter for nine days while we were traveling outside of the US. From the very beginning, it was clear that she genuinely cared for Boogie and Ollie and treated them as if they were her own.
